Please describe your religious philosophy:

  • I think life is a test; we are here to live as God instructed and to ackhowledge Him, and those who succeed shall be rewarded, and those who choose this life over the next shall get exactly what the wanted, this life, but punishment in the next.
  • Islam is the only progressive way of life and has come for all humanity
  • Live and let live in moderartion.
  • Religion is a very powerful force which creates a balnce between hell on earth and the heaven to come.
  • The philosophy of Islam is "do ma'ruf and don't do munkar. Prayer (solat) can get the best personalities to us and the Islamic Law is a way of life and become us to get safety and peace"
  • In our hectic lives, a few moments of worship is the ONLY time we get to reflect on the way we live. It's your soul's version of a workout at the gym. Try it for YOU.
  • To be precise, I'm a weak athiest. No, that doesn't mean I don't have the strength of my convictions. It means that I don't deny the existance of god(strong athiest). Instead, I simply don't believe in god. It might not seem like it at first, but those are substantially different viewpoints. What it boils down to is, I don't have faith. In anything. As the definition of faith is the belief in that which one has no rational reason to believe, I've never understood why anyone would have faith in a ything.
  • Religion is my relationship to my God and Creator.
  • the universe is what made all of this......it is you, me, the rocks, the trees, the animals, the earth, the wind, the air, water, fire.... too bad we don't respect that.
  • There is only one God, ALLAH and Mohammad (pbuh) is his messager
  • I suppose I'd be considered anti-religious, because I am so vehemently atheist, I feel that religion and the idea of a supreme being is stupid.
  • Religion is for simple minded "follower" people. Even smart people are quite simple minded when it comes to religion.
  • I believe in the higher power that lies within all of us. It bears no human form and certainly does not require financial or social sacrifice in order to be utilized or justified. I feel organized religion is a high-level form of brainwashing, coercion, and control.
  • Jesus Christ is Lord of all, he is the author and finisher of my faith. accept him as my personal saviour, into my heart, soul, and mind. he's the way the truth and the life!!! he who believes in me shall not perish but have everlasting life!!!
  • The Urantia Book
  • Over time I have gone from liking, to hating, to tolerateing religious. I think that they do good and are needed. BUT people take it WAY to seriously
  • Religion creates hate between differences. Very BAD!
  • THAT GOD IS ONE AND MUST BE WORSHIPPED IN TRUTH. DENIAL OF THIS SUPREME CREATOR IS BEING FALSE TO YOUR OWN NATURE.
  • The religion is a sect created to lie the people and control indiscriminated. The religion is a Fucking shit!
  • If God exists, he has to die.
  • I believe in the concept of energies and karma-what goes around, comes around.
  • I'd like to say I practice what I preach 100% of the time, but I am human, not divine, and I mess up. Although I believe others have the right to believe as they wish, I also know that they will be lost to God's eternal kingdom if they do not believe in Jesus Christ. I will spread the Gospel because that is what I am instructed to do in the Bible, but I will not brow beat or nag anyone into acceptance. God gives us the alternatives and waits, and so must I. IF YOU ARE READING THIS AND WANT TO KOW M RE ABOUT JESUS CHRIST, CONSULT YOUR YELLOW PAGES FOR THE LOCAL CHRISTINA CHURCHES IN YOUR AREA.
  • everyone has their own religion, no matter what "sect" you belong to. it is a personal matter of the heart.
  • Jesus is as He said; the way, the truth and the life!
  • #6 is flawed. You usually believe in resurrection and eternal life on another level simulaneously.
  • We are created by Allah, and we should obey his commands.
  • Organized religion has bastardized the teachings of great and enlightened individuals for their own gain
  • I believe that life consits of "forces or energies" and we either disapate at death or attain a higher energy
  • God=truth
  • Jesus died for my sins, I now have apersonal relationship with Christ and I will have eternal life with him when I die
  • It's an incredible con job when you think of it, to belive something now in exchange for life after death. Even corporations with all their reward systems don't try to make it posthumous.
  • I believe there is only one god. He has no son, daughter, mother or any body else. I also believe in the Messenger of Allah. Prophet Mohammed (SAW)
  • religion=mind control
  • Relegion should be your life not a way of life.
  • I think that too many people see the outward way of life, rather than the inward (batin) and if they saw the inward way more, they would be much more intelligent..in their soul that is. khodah hafez.
  • Wicca/Paganism in my way of life, evolves around you personal beliefs. Yes I believe in a Goddess and God and the All (the one great power or life source, of which the Goddess and God are both a part), I do not believe at all in the Christian Devil/Satan or an ultimate evil. This a religion, it which has open my heart to all the worlds potentials.
  • I believe in the power of the self - something I think most religions tend to stay away from in order to keep the "flock" mentality.
  • The more I read, learn, and think, the closer I get to Atheism
  • Although religion is important to me, and is the basis for morals, I do not believe that one needs to attend a group (ie: church) to be "religious."
  • Truth, love and freedom is forever.
  • I don't believe that any one person, religion or church here on earth has every correct answer. It is up to each individual to search their souls...because if you are truly searching, the truth will show itself to you.
  • Prayers never bring anything....They may bring solace to the sap, the bigot, the ignorant, the aboriginal, and the lazy -- but to the enlightened, it is the same as asking Santa Claus to bring you something for Christmas.
  • The most important thing to me about my religion is the fact that it is a PERSONAL relationship with Jesus Christ.
  • If God exists... he/she/it cannot be proven or disproven. Who cares? I just live a happy, healthy, kind and productive life. The end.
  • I believe in some kind of higher life form, equal in male/femaleness, perhaps a god and goddess. I believe that they look out for people, and I believe that as long as you don't hurt anyone emotionally or physically, you should be free to do whatever you want, and comprimise is important.
  • as long as what you do doesn't hurt anyone(including youurselff) do what you wannt, and let others do what they want.
  • I believe in christianity, but my mind is kept open to different aspects of religion. I pray and have my own beliefs, but I accept the possibility that there is no "true" God. I still pray and hope that someone is listening!!!
  • When I was a child, I believed in God. As I became an yong adult, I couldn't believe. If enogh of terrible and tramatic things happen to you in your life, it becomes harder to believe in good things. As a small child I would pray, but my prayers were never(not once ansered). I want to believe, but how?
  • CHRISTIANS ARE FULL OF SHIT
  • The more you see just how vast and complex the universe is, the more you have to realize that it wasn't created by accident or by chance. Every creation must have a creator. If we are created then God must have send us guidance for eternity, not a book that man changes whenever he feels the need to.
  • We are eternal children, of our loving Heavenly Father, We lived with Him before we came to earth to receive our bodies. He loves us so much he sent His only begotten son in the flesh to save us that we through Him might return home to live with Father & Jesus Christ.
  • The key to happiness is finding out who you are and consentrating less on what people think you are
  • I believe in a supreme almighty GOD Jehovah as creator of life and a means to happiness now and in the future.
  • Faith is the answer
  • I am a Biblicist and a literalist, ie., when the Bible makes plain sense I seek no other sense and all figurative literature must be interpreted in light of clear passages. I am also a separatist believing that in lifestyle and ecclesiastical associations I am to be holy as God is holy while at the same time showing love for people as God so loved the world.
  • Religion is the greatest cause of human suffering throughout all time. The majority of religous people are hypocrates which have a policy of convert or die.
  • Sects (Co$, etc...) should be banned and severely repressed
  • Islam is the way of life
  • Humans are responsible for their own destiny.
  • There are very, very few religious people who I feel I can respect not only for the sincerity of their religious beliefs (not the beliefs, themselves), but also for their integrity, the clarity and unbigoted nature of their thinking, and the proof of their humanity and compassion displayed by their words and actions. However, even though I respect these people - though they possess all of these qualities which I hold so highly and try so hard to maintain a clear view and course of action on - I cannot ollow their religious path, believe what they believe. I decided a long time ago that - before I can maintain any belief in something as veiled and vaporous as something that I cannot sense but can only speak to and hope is there - I would make myself aware, and make myself aware of that awareness so that my decisions would not be influenced and especially not made by someone else. This way, if I should ever decide that I do believe in a higher being than myself (an unlikely event, at best), my thoughts an actions will all be based on not only what I can sense exists, but what I can actively reason for my self exists. It is far too easy for people to just believe when another says "Here is Hope - a chance for you to have meaning in your life and above all to understand and appreciate that meaning - but to get that hope you must first believe me when _I_ tell _you_ what that hope will be."
  • Jesus Christ is part of the Trinity of God and He offers the only way to eternal life.
  • I do not know what to believe, but I know that there is more to life than just living it and there is an afterlife.
  • Cramped is the road leading off into life, and few are the ones finding it...--Matthew 7:14
  • Just that science can explain everything to a point, and until it can explain everything, I'm going to leave room for the possibility of somehting
  • RELIGION IS A PRIMATIVE WAY OF THINKING. IT E IN A MODERN SOCIETY.
  • Belief is Existence
  • I belong to the Shia faith which is a very much misunderstood sect of the Muslims because the media has often portrayed us as being terrorists, bigoted or fundamentalist. The truth is that Shias believe that terrorism and for that matter the taking of any human life (unduly) is one of the gravest sin. The concept of women is also greatly misunderstood because it is made to appear that women are like prisoners in islam ---the exact opposite is the truth because in Islam women are probably given more rig ts than in any other religion. Take an example -- is Demi Moore more free or a veiled girl (or a nun in the Church) At first it may appear Demi is as free as a bird but when one interpretes what free means one realises that Demi is being exploited by fiolm producers and not only is she man-habndled by actors but is made to appear naked to millions of viewers. Well that's a paradox isn't it. Hope you got the point right.
  • Dont give any trust to someone presenting a book as 'THE TRUTH'. Just take time to study and try to understand rather than believing in something enforced by another being (natural or not). If you have a brain use it and help other people using theirs. Be tolerent with people tolerent with you. When a war start somewhere, religion is almost everytime involved, even if this religion says 'You shall not kill other beings...'.
  • I very much believe in Free will... As well as "an' it harm non, do what you will"
  • If people would look into most "Established" religions they would find that most, if followed even most of the time would make life in this society much more bearable. There is one basic principle in most religions I have encountered. Don't hurt your fellow human (Sometimes the word unjustified is used).
  • Religion is destructive in all manners, it breeds ignorance, intolerance, and manifests itself in power and hypocrisy. The only good thing that religion does is instills some moral code for some individuals, although this moral code is not usually strictly adhered to. This non-adhersion to moral code is overwhelming evidence of the hypocrisy of religion.
  • Questions 7-10, 13 and 14 are too restrictive. Q7: in my heart I adhere to my faith 100%, in my actions it would be less (I sin); Q8: twice a week; Q9: traditionally my family is Lutheran, I am not; Q10: raised Lutheran now Baptist; Q13: I will eat MOST meats, I suppose human flesh could be considered a meat; Q14: John 3:16 and John 14:6
  • follow the path of the salafus salih and you will be successful
  • i definitely believe in God, but i am a strict believer in pre-destination, which does not allow for a savior.
  • Religion is responsible for more murder than anything else ever invented by man
  • i do not believe in the supernatural, therefore, i do not believe in religion. Man created 'god'.

  • I beleive ISLAM is the perfect way of life for all mankind and for every time
  • God is the center of our lives

  • There in no other object of worship but Allah and Muhammad is the messenger of Allah
  • I am catholic and I think religon is important but guys like Billy Graham and guys that broafcast their masses really piss me off
  • I believe that having something or someone to believe in is extremely important. In general, a human being always needs that good feeling that comes out of believing. I am a muslim, and I came from a country where most people around where either muslim or christian believer. I took the power of believe for granted until I came to the United States. I realized that there are other people that believe much stronger than myself in totally different God than my God. Also, I have met people who don't beli ve in anything. That is what really brought me back strongly to my believe. To summarize, any believe bring peace to the heart and to the mind. I prefer Islam, it works for me. I am very very happy.....
  • I'M MUSLIM AND I THINK EVERYONE HAS THE RIGHT TO BELIEVE IN WHATEVER THEY WANT. I ENJOY MY NEW RELIGION AND WILL RAISE MY CHILDREN MUSLIM.
  • I believe that you will go to heaven no matter what your "religion" is if you treat people with respect.
  • I feel relgion is very interesting but i feel relgion can be like fire very helpful and lifegiving when used in a safe context Or it can be jsut the opposite when it out runs its boundaries.
  • Science and spirituality will soon begin to strongly converge. We are all one. One whole eternal, radiant, and ever-changing field of energy. We can all learn to fully open the connection, and flow with the energy of the cosmos.
  • FOR GOD SO LOVED THE WORLD THAT HE GAVE HIS ONLY BEGOTTEN SON THAT WHOEVER BELIEVES IN HIM SHALL NOT PERISH BUT HAVE ETERNAL LIFE -JOHN 3:16
  • No sdupreme being; no life after death. I don't worry about all the millenia I wasn't around before I was born so why should I worry about all the millenia I won't be around after I die?
  • Someone once told me a "definition"of Agnosticism that seems to suit me...I'm not sure if God exists or not-- but if s/he does, I'm on his/her side...
  • I follow the traditional views held of the Holy Bible, that it is God's Word to us to follow. In it, we find salvation through Jesus Christ. He is the only way to eternal life!
  • THE 10 COMMANDMENTS!
  • each person has the right (god willing) of their own directed experiece of God.
  • I believe in God the Father Almighty, maker of heaven and earth , and in Jesus Christ, his only son our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy ghost, born of the virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead and buried. He descended into hell, the third day he rose again from the dead. I believe in the Holy ghost, the Holy Catholic Church, the Communion of Saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen
  • I believe that Jesus is the one true Son of God and only through trusting Him can someone spend eternity in Heaven. Otherwise, they reject His sacrifice and are condemned to an eternity in a literal burning lake of fire.
  • religion is the system that God chose for us to experience this life in a wholesome and productive manner.
  • God is love. God doesn't care HOW you worship, only THAT you worship -- because it is to YOUR benefit, not to God's, to do so.
  • Religion is a personal agreement between the believer and the idol, with elements of social conformance to maintain a civil culture.
  • "No man cometh unto to the Father, except through Me"
  • Through out history religion has been used to manipulate and control the masses, but a spiritual belief is very important
  • My philosophies, beliefs and principles are all syncretic.
  • religion is not important being a true believer in Jesus is.
  • John 3:16 NIV
  • Jesus died for all our sins, and we need to spread His love to all nations.
  • Religion is too often used by weak-minded, mean-sprited people to hide behind and justify their prejudices and intolerances. The God of the Bible too much resembles dictators like Stalin and Hitler for my tastes. Condemning to Hell (the cosmic concentration camp) all those who do not believe in him is malicious and evil. Being omnipotent should not be a license to be supreme cosmic dictator, judge, and executioner.
  • God is love.
  • wutchcraft is fun!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  • believing in One God and his prophets
  • ACCEPT ISLAM AND BE SAFE
  • The infinite number of horrors performed in the name of religion overshadow all type of "evil" ever in existence. Man need look no further than himself to see both the face of an angel and a devil.
  • I don't know, nobody else knows, it's unknowable and irrelevant.
  • true sunni.shia islam is the best way of life; however, I'm sick of sexist Muslim men WHO BEAT THEIR WIVES!
  • p.s., the Torah = The Old Testament. Religion is a crutch while personal spirituality and personal moral code/respect for living things is the key. anti-semites/racists/homophobes/zealots are all abusers of values and religion.
  • My relegion, Islam, offers peace with GOD and with all humans and eternal happiness.
  • "...What shall it profit a man if he gain the whole world and lose his own soul?"
  • If there is a god im sure he would want nothing to do with the war causing money making crooks, oops sorry churches. Have a look just about every war in history can be traced to religion. Isnt the "ours is the real lord" attitude worse than racism, its caused more wars.
  • Religion is the way in which we, a finite entity come in contact with the infite and reach higher levels of understand; ourselves, each other and those mysteries of God, enebling us to leve better lives.
  • Mine is not a code of principles in order to attain eternal peace, but an attempt to have a real and personal relationship with the Creator of all things.
  • IF YOU ARE NOT SAVED WHEN YOU DIE, YOU WILL GO TO HELL, YOU MUST ALSO REPENT YOUR SINS.
  • There is no god. Religion was created by man for man.
  • I believe Jesus is the Son of God and God Himself, but loved us so much He died on a cross to save worms like us from our sins. I take the Bible literally and God at his word.
  • Having been very close to death twice I wasn't upset about leaving mortal life behind and moving on to the next level. The great mystery gets answered at death: for 100% of us --no affrimative action programs-- no hate---no racisim---no I am better than you---you cannot buy your way into "heaven" or out of death. There are alot of very surprised spirits...
  • I believe that God is entering into the world in a new justice for all people and that through coming to an understanding of Gods wishes for all a new equality for humankind will be born.
  • Although I believe in God, I do not subscribe to any particular ideology.
  • Though I admit the necessity of some commenly accept ethical rules, I dislike the veiled representation of such rules in religion.
  • Biblical Christianity
  • christianity is a very hypocritical religion which has harmed our country for long enough
  • I believe there is a 'Creator' who created the world but has largely left us to our own devices.
  • Faith is important to many, and so be it!!...I have a poor opinion of organised religion

  • Secular Humanist.
  • Religion is more than a belief system; it's a way of life.
  • Religion is an emotional crutch for those who are frightened of death and too afraid to take responsibility for their own lives
  • Allah is life
  • "Religion is the greatest instrument for the order of the world and the tranquility of all existent beings. The weakness of the pillars of religion has encouraged the ignorant and rendered them audacious and arrogant. Truly, I say, whatever lowers the lofty station of religion will increase heedlessness in the wicked, and finally result in anarchy. Hear, O ye possessors of perception! Then be admonished, O ye endowed with sight!" - Baha'u'llah ( Glory of God)
  • christianity is not a religion it is a relationship with Christ who in tern seeks a personal relationship with the believer
  • No religion has prooved itself to be logical(provable) or moral, thus there is no incentive to believe or follow.
  • World has nothing bad
  • No god, know peace.
  • As an atheist, the thing that annoys me most is when theists say "you have no beliefs." On the contrary, I believe in freedom for everyone, and being allowed to believe in the existence or non-existence of any god(dess).
  • Keep the church and state apart, or suffer a evil fate.
  • There has been no objective proof to prove the existence of ANY supernatural entities. Therefore, the burden of proof lies on those who believe in them.
  • Religion, while it helps to form a sense of "community", is the most destructive idea ever foisted upon humankind
  • Religion, specifically Christianity, should be the foundation for everyone's life. Jesus came to save and its up to you to accept salvation. God bless.
  • You spelled "Atheism" wrong! It's interesting that (according to the current survey results) while most respondants claim to be Christian, *less* than that amount believe in the Bible and *alot* less in the Trinity!
  • Religions separate us more than they bring us together.
  • The One True Religion is the Individual's Personal Relationship to their Creator.
  • Religion and spirituality are becoming closer entertwined in this day and age. I think many prople are turned off by the word religion, and would be more open if the word spirituality was substituted. The concepts behind spirituality will bring the good forces of the world to the forefront.
  • Morality IS possible without religion; it's just a lot harder to maintain without threats of heaven and hell to reenforce them.
  • I believe that there is an entity and that any higher being that is worshied is part of the All
  • Religion to me is a mix of all those that I've seen in my life. I have lived abroad for almost half of it, and have seen religion in many forms. There is no true religion, it is what you feel, they are there only as comforters, and therfore it doesn't matter what you beleive.
  • Islam Erfan Substantive motion of Mulla Sadra
  • There cannot be a 'supreme' god or being due to the fact that there's suffering, imperfectness and evil; and if this god created everything, this god would have also created 'evil.' No Ultimate God would create a imperfect universe!
  • There is no afterlife. Period
  • I am a very ecucumincal United Methodist Christian. I believe in universal salvation although I am more interested in salvaion in this life. Jesus is the path to God for me but I do not believe he is the only path.
  • I see more evidence that God exists than that he doesn't. I know Jesus Christ is the way because I have seen the miracles and experienced the joy. You cannot try God on like a coat and throw him away after a week just because all of your problems didn't go away, you have to hold on.
  • Trying to get closer to Allah each day
  • Religious writings are too often misinterpreted. Many damaging misconceptions are born from this.People should listen more to their hearts and not their religious leaders.
  • Religion is the outward expression of what we hold dear in our lives. If we believe in the goodness and mercy of God we should exemplify that in our own lives. This is what I call religion.
  • I believe that all communal religions are man made and are actually just social clubs that the religious elete use to control the masses and subsequently create wealth for themselves.
  • The use of the terms religious and religion are confusing in the sense that religion is just superstition. You have to have a personal relationship with Jesus because no church or religion will save you.
  • Love under will, Love is the Law. Love is Low-Phi !
  • Do no harm and don't meddle, especially in politics.
  • That there is a Being greater than humans. God has entrusted earth into Man's control (Genesis) and look what has happened! Humanism cannot be logical simply because of the limited knowledge of man - how can you believe in something which in its very nature is limited in some way? Atheism is merely not having the courage to admit that maybe there's something greater than yourself out there...
  • Regarding Question #1: God is not a "Being" and cannot be comprehended. Perhaps you should rephrase the question to ask: "Do you believe that there is a God."
  • people with strong christian beliefs are struggling in an agnostic or atheistic society , much of society is missing our God and is void of true love. society enjoys freedom of choice and is in love with themselves , satan is doing a fine job . science , material wealth and self gratification are many peoples God. our nation is a whore to the devil with no concience. we are in for some terrible times in the near future ,both believer and non believer.
  • There is no God but Allah and Mohammed is His Messenger

  • Live and then you die.
  • I had trouble deciding if I was Anglican or Episcopal, being that episcopalians are anglicans.
  • I believe God is the creator of of the universe, That the bible should be taken literally(and not interpreted) according to common sense, and nothing should not be questioned(Politically, socially, economically, scientifically, or spiritually).

  • One should respect every living.
  • THERE IS A DIFFERENCE IN RELIGION AND CHRISTANITY,BEING A CHRISTIAN IS TO LIVE CHRIST LIKE AND ACCORDING TO THE WORD OF GOD,RELIGION IS A RITUAL BASICLY AN OUTWARD SHOW
  • The Bible is mythology. Devout believers deny their reason when they buy into ideas as absurd as conception without intercourse and making a woman from a man's rib. Does this make sense? Is is ANY DIFFERENT from ancient Greek mythology? No; both were invented by ancient people as a way of explaining life. Nowdays, we explain life through science. Christianity and belief in God is an idea whose days are numbered. (By the way, regarding the Bible: WHAT ABOUT THE DINODAURS?)
  • Basically? Don't hurt anybody. Respect others' beliefs. Don't be narrow-minded. Don't impose your beliefs on others. If personal faith works for you and gives you strength, bravo.
  • Following Islam in full will make me a more useful, effective and objective person who is at comfort with himself, others find comfort and peace in his company and Almighty is pleased with him.
  • I believe that to be "religious" a person must have beliefs that answer important questions about life and death. "Religious" does NOT mean believing in a mainnstream faith. Religion is deeply personal and should be accepted as such by people who disagree religiously. There are far too many conflicts- from a family scale to an international one because people cannot accept differences in religious beliefs.
  • "The separation of Church and State"- whatever happened to *that* part of the Constitution written by the Founding Fathers?
  • pantheistic Christian
  • Religion will enable you to become better in tune with yourself and others.
  • The Universe has no need of a custodian; it can take care of itself, as can we.
  • i believe that some god has made the earth and now he/she is slowly watching it burn out
  • I am a Christian who seeks to return to the heritage of the Apostolic Era of the Church -- to first century faith and practice. This involves getting in tough with the Hebraic background of authentic Christianity. Today's organized Church has been politicized, intellectualized and commercialized. It bears little resemblance to the original "faith once for all delivered."
  • Ashes to ashes, dust to dust: I don't want to go, but for you I must.
  • To learn and to love
  • Jesus Christ is my Savoir. I believe that the Father sent Him from Heaven to die for us on the cross. Jesus made a pot head into a Jesus Freak!!!!!
  • Religious and spiritual contemplation allow us to grapple with the difficulties and pain that life can bring along with providing us with a community to share our joys. In my opinion, struggling with the meaning of our existence is more important than finding any sort of defined doctrine.
  • There is only One. That One can be called God or whatever else anyone wants to call It. God is Omnipresent, so everything and everyone in the physical and non-physical universe is a manifestation of God. We are all one with God and one with each other wh
  • I believe that people should be allowed to follow their own beliefs without judgement or restraint as long as it does not harm others, I do not believe that going to church is necesary to show my faith in God, but to appreciate and love what he has created. I do not understand why people kill in the name of religion, in my reasoning, any religion that supports killing would more closely follow the concept of the devil.
  • Jesus Christ is the son of the one true God and he died for my sins. I will be forever in Heaven with him when I die as I believe and have repented of my sins and do so daily.
  • My beliefs are but a combination of all the religions of the world. Therefore I have tolerance for all religious affiliations.
  • Religion is the organized state for one to gain insights of the Creator in this life - to aid in our spiritual direction for the eternal life with the Divine.
  • To me religion is a way one thinks with the recognition that there is an aboslute.
  • My religious philosophy is based on the belief in one God and worshipping Him by following the guidelines He has put forth for us.
  • To my age group, religion is often of little importance unless it is a very firm belief. Thoughts are individual and often confused.
  • zuhair ubrahim
  • Do not follow religion blindly but ask why you believe in what you follow.
  • God created the world and all of us.
  • there are a light:it isn't important the name we give to this light. Every religion is a way to adore the same light that gave us the life.
  • "every man and woman is a star governing their own orbit" as Crowley said. The Wiccan Rede says: "and it harms none, do as you will". Both express my religious philosophy: God/the divine/Spirit is something you have a personal, interier relationship to. R
  • Why do some people try to force their religions on others?
  • Organized religion is useless as its political and theological or philosophical opinions change to fit the mood of society. Therefore Religion in mass form is destructive and each person should search for religion themselves.
  • We must accept the beliefs of others and they must accept ours. I believe in a loving God, open to the interpretations of all.
  • Religion is the only way to be happy in this life and afterwords.
  • Understand God not as a holy "person" but as love itself and live a life guided by love. So even if I don't know the goal, I do know the way. :o)
  • RELIGION IS IMPORTANT TO SOME PEOPLE AND OTHERS COULDN'T CARE LESS . I DON'T THINK YOU SHOULD HATE SOMEONE FOR WHAT THEY BELIVE IN , ITS JUST LIKE SOME PEOPLE DON'T LIKE YOU KNOWING WHO YOU ARE PICKING FOR AN ELECTION , IT CAN BE PRIVATE OR PUBLIC
  • While I will not condemn others for believeing in something, I will recognize the paralells between their's and my own belief and try to objectively dissect that belief for the raw truth.
  • Your survey asks about 'religion'. While I answered your questions as truthfully as possible. I feel it necessary to state that I am not 'religious'. I have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and follow his teachings.
  • I believe that if we care about GOd he will care about us.
  • I am the "ruler" of the world and you little people are my slaves. The truth is out there. I will eat your heads off. There will come Aliens in yer 2000 and will take me with them.Worship me.
  • Attend church when I can, but don't make a habit of it
  • God is my rock. Everything I do, it has something to do with God. My whole life is wrapped up in God.
  • Truth is constant, therefore religion is the process of discovery. I believe the truth to be that which is presented in the Bible and fallibility to be that which is inate to human reason.
  • JESUS DIED FOR US.........WE SHOULD LIVE FOR HIM!
  • I am a spiritual, not religious person and follow the dictates of my own soul without another human serving as intermediary, which is quite unnecessary.
  • Eckist believe in the LIGHT & The SOUND of GOD (or SUGMAD)
  • I think the most important thing is, as Jesus told us many times, to love your neighbor and help those in need. I am dismayed by the seemingly large group of people who use religion as an excuse to commit violence.
  • Religion should be taken out of schools. It has a lot to answer for in causing racism and other ignorance.
  • Islam is a religion that keeps you on a right path. It is actually a summation of principles that help you to be firm on the right path. When you pray to allah, allah is obliged by your prayer, though he doesn't need your prayers but He gets happy when you accept His greatness. He rewards you with what you are wishing for. This peace and tranquility cannot be found in any of the other religions. But at the same time Islam also teaches us to respect other religions. that is why History has seen that Isl m was not spread on the force of Sword but it was the teaching of Islam that caused them to be attracted towards the teachings of Allah. Thus we offer you Islam. You will find your peace in this religion but if you are not willing to accept Islam and want to remain ignorant it is upto you. My duty was to make you aware of what is truth! Contact No: niazimm@meena.cc.uregina.ca
  • Its good for some, bad for others
  • 1. Scepticism: There is no absolute knowledge. There is one bible quote that I like, and that is in 1 Cor 13 "For we know in part". 2. Science: The only true way to knowledge is through observation and testing. We only know in part, but science can enlarge that part. 3. Humanism: Man should be the target for human morality. We should not seek morality in gods, the laws of nature, mother earth or anything alike.
  • Truth and living from the depth and core of our existence in harmony with creation and our Creator
  • I can't believe that so many people blindly follow and accept anything that is laid out before them. If people would take the time to look out from behind their Bibles and think for themselves, the world would be a better place. As far as I'm concerned, the Bible is just another book (and a work of fiction at that). I'm so sick of hearing Bible verses quoted and twisted around to serve a purpose and to spew hate and discrimination.
  • man needs a divine set of guidelines to live happily on earth
  • I believe as most muslims believed before me that, "Muslims love death more than non-believers love life"
  • I am Muslim, so I believe on Al-Qur'an
  • Selfism: God is in everyone and by bettering yourself you become closer to you/god/overall happiness
  • Religion causes hate. It is destructive.
  • sorry, I don't speak well in english, for this answer! By!

  • I subscribe to the most rational, compassionate and humane religion-Shia Ithaansheri.
  • many questions are insolvable by materialistic and human means ; but God exist and created also the logical way to feel him , as we can feel sorrow or happiness . Believing is finding and doing peace , and also fighting for it and for justice .
  • The creator is the only meaning. because he gave meening to meenings. he is the first and the last. because there must be first and last. Since he is greater than every thing in every thing he should be the leader of every thing.
  • Matthew 22:37-40
  • YOUR SURVEY IS TOO GENERAL
  • there are MANY water ways that lead into one big ocean. all of which are diverse from eachother and none with a greater importance than the other...... But Jesus is my way
  • I believe that Jesus Christ is the Way, the Truth, and the Life.
  • Life is this present moment
  • you wany my philosophy?!?! Hmm...well...therefore...are you ready for the Second Advent?
  • Revival is coming!!!!
  • JESUS CHRIST IS LORD! Unless a man repent he cannot enter the Kingdom of God. You must be born again!
  • This questionaire had several leading questions, and bias was easily detected. One such problem was the emphasis on religion (for example in question 14). I don't believe that RELIGION is the key to happiness, but I do believe that a close and personal relationship with Christ is. As far as my philosophy, it is obviously difficult to summarize in a couple sentences, but Love the Lord your God with all you mind, heart, and strength and everything else will fall into place. If you really love God in that way you will do all the things you are supposed to. . . feed the hungry, love your neighbor as yourself, etc. . .
  • Seek to love your Creator with all your heart, mind, body and soul.
  • RELIGEON IS A CRUTCH USED BY PEPLPE WHO THINK THEY ARE BETTER THAN OTHERS,TO HIDE THEIR HYPOCRACY.
  • religion is so primitive
  • After having bad experiences with organized religion, one becomes disillusioned and follows teir own code.
  • spiritualism without specific religion
  • Religion is a crutch for some and a guiding light for others. For me, I choose to rely on myself.
  • God is the center of the universe
  • Christianity sucks
  • I believe that you should do as you personally believe but not so that it condems others beliefs.
  • have a blast and let the others have one too
  • I'm a Christian, which is not a matter of "opinion" My beliefs are not just how I happen to see the world -- the Bible tells us the Truth. Unfortunately, even though the Bible calls us to love one another as ourselves, I find many Christians to be sadly intolerant. Seems a lot of people have trouble with the "love the sinner, hate the sin" concept.
  • i like this survey
  • If you follow Quran and Allah´s laws then you can live better here and after the cause we can never make good here in life cause you live only 70-80 years
  • Jesus Christ is my savior. He died for me save me from my sins.
  • I believe that the Bible is the Word of God to mankind, and that faith in the atoning death and resurrection of Jesus Christ is necessary for salvation.
  • "For god So Hated The World That he Gave his Only Begotten son, That Whosoever Does Not Believeth On him Will Perish And Be Denied Eternal Life" - Myrddin 3:16. Religion is a bunch of nonsense. Jesus was a Rabbi whose followers were a bit too overzealous. Visit http://www.montego.com/~jim/cor.html !
  • There is no god but Allah and Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah
  • The key is not necessarily "religion". It's salvation. Believing in Jesus Christ. That he died for us and was resurrected that we would not have to suffer.
  • I BELIEVE IN THE LORD JESUS CHRIST AS LORD AND SAVIOUR AND AM WAITING FOR HIS RETURN TO RAPTURE HIS CHURCH MAY GOD BLESS YOU ALL
  • Islam is trul the only answer to all major dilemmas the world is facing today.
  • A personal relationship with Jesus is about loving God and loving my neighbor!
  • Those who are blessed enough to be given a chance to follow God should do so. Those who are deprived will one day be given a chance.
  • islam is the way of life
  • I definitely believe in a higher being, that my beliefs are personal and I don't lie anyone trying to change my beliefs.
  • I believe that everyone believes in God. (Even a self-styled atheist will pray, "Please, let the baby be all right and I'll never do.....again." I believe that adherence to any religion is better than adherence to none. I believe God sent prophets to every part of the Earth, but that over time most of their teachings have been distorted or lost. I believe that adherence to a revealed relgion (coming from a prophet such as Abraham, Moses, David, Jesus, or Muhammad) is preferable to adherence to a r ligious philosophy thought up by a human being, such as Humanism or the Church of Mormon. I believe that any religious person behaves more responsibly than any non-religious person does. I believe that America was a better place when most Americans were religious, and that it will be a better place again when Americans insist on the freedom of all people to believe and practice as they wish.
  • organized religion can be used for good or evil. it can help people or can be used an an excuse to persecute or kill them. on the whole, i think we would be better off without it.
  • I believe and live Quran cause it is the words of Allah.
  • I BELIEVE THAT THERE IS A DIFFERENCE BETWEEN RELIGION AND SPIRITUALITY. RELIGIONS GET TOO CAUGHT UP IN DOCTRINE. SPIRITUALITY IS A PERSONAL THING THAT PEOPLE MUST MEDITATE AND FIND OUT BY THEMSELVES. THEY MUST READ ABOUT EVERY ORGANIZED RELIGION TO KNOW ALL IDEAS IN THE WORLD BUT THEY MUST PERFORM SELF-SEEKING TO DISCOVER WHAT THEY FEEL TO BE REALLY TRUE.
  • As long as you harm no one (including yourself) do what you please
  • Be moderate.
  • I believe that living a Christian life means that you treat others as you wish to be treated. Basically, I believe that we should follow the teachings of Jesus and live the way he has told us to.
  • Someone or something must have created it all!
  • Anyone who rigidly believes anything will crumble in time. The less I become religious and dogmatic, the more I discover the strength of my spirituality.
  • I don't believe in a "supreme being" but in a universal spirit; something we are all connected to, in the spiritual realm. All religions, to me, are forms of honouring the same thing.
  • I believe that when you die, you are judged for your sins, then God puts you in either 1 of the 3 stages of heaven, or outer darkness(hell). Yes, we do believe in the ressurection, and that all men(good and bad)will rise again. We also believe in eternal marriage in one of our temples.
  • Try to set a good example
  • TO ME RELIGION IS A WAY OF AND I TRY TO LIVE IT EVERYDAY.
  • Following a Religion is easier to live, but is harder to believe all that strange concepts!
  • For God so loved the world that He gave his only begotten son, and whosoever believeth in Him shall not perish, but have everlasting life. After accepting Christ as Saviour, the Holy Spirit will guide into all truth. Until then, your eyes are blinded to the truth. Remember, A fool hath said in his heart that there is no God.
  • Personal beliefs are one thing - but when it is used to legislate against others' behavior or access to information, it is dangerous. Your right to swing your fist ends when it hits my face - your right to personal belief ends when you legislate against m

  • "RELIGION" IS ERROR; GOD IS THE TRUTH. TO HABITUALLY FOLLOW A ROUTINE OF CHURCHGOING IS ERROR. THE LOVE OF GOD IS LIFE ETERNAL.
  • Mortal life gives us the opportunity to learn how to choose between good and evil. Faith in a loving but just God empowers us to make good choices. By making good choices we bless others lives and become like God.
  • Many paths lead to the same center.
  • We cannot know anything - We can only look inside ourselves
  • MAN CANNOT EXIST WITHOUT RELIGION
  • If God is a "truth", how is it possible that I disbelieve? Free your mind.
  • I believe that God sent His son Jesus to die for me on the cross. I believing that he rose agian after the third day that if I try to my best potential to be in His will and do His work that I will go to heaven when I die!
  • GOD IS LOVE AND THE CENTER OF THE LIFE
  • Jesus Christ is my life.
  • Today is the first day of the rest of my life, literally - forever and ever.................
  • As a Skeptic, I'm aware of the limits of human understanding. We cannot know with certainty if god exists, or does not. It is a question you can waste your life trying to answer, and a question you cannot answer is merely speculation. Speculation is nothing to base your life on. I try and live my life by making wise decisions based on individual situations. I have no god to justify my actions, I have to accept complete respondsibility.
  • I think religion isn't a part of life. It IS your life. Your whole way of life should be in accordance with your religion and it reminds us this life is short.
  • The idea of the soul is not reconcilable with modern science. the only views that are not entirely contradictory are materialism and immaterialism.
  • I believe that there is a God who is all knowing, all powerful, and all merciful.
  • There is no one "true" way. Each person has their own true way.
  • Sometimes I feel my religion has become very money hungry and corrupt in a way. I hardly attend church and I pray on my own more than I would at mass. I think a little differently than when I was younger which has pulled me away from the church.
  • Religion is responsible for more death and hatred than any other single force in nature.
  • my own religion
  • prayer is a sign of personal weakness
  • Accept Jesus Christ as your Savior and Lord. Take up your cross and follow Him.
  • i believe that i am master of my own destiny.
  • Do as you would be done by ( with apologies to the original author!)
  • Jesus died for our sins. And as long as we believe in him, we will be in heaven with him.
  • I'll never know where we came from untill I die, and still then I may not know. Therefore, I'm not going to spend my life worrying about it. If there is a higher entity or the like, it would surely respect my thinking it through rather than blind fear which I see most religious people as haveing.
  • To quote Hobbs: "What is material is real, what is not material is not real".
  • Treat all people with kindness and respect because it's the right thing to do, not because some imaginary deity told you to.
  • We must respect all forms of life and stop raping the Earth, for we are all (including mosquitos,Milkweed, even Cannibis)God's children.
  • be good
  • I practice martial arts, which is, in a sense, my 'religion'. I believe in respecting others and myself and achieving personal (spiritual, mental, psychological, etc.) peace because it's the only way to survive and therefore continue the evolution of ME.
  • Religion is based on a fear of death. The things that are important do not die. The ego (self) is not important. Love is all.
  • I do not believe in any religion. I believe that religion serves merely to calm the fears of those afraid of the unknown.
  • My religious philosophy is that I believe in God. I consider Jesus my best friend and constant companion. I believe that God is an all powerful, forgiving father and holds me in his arms like a daughter.
  • What you do now is all that counts. Make the best of it.

  • What religion do you believe in (that is not listed in the survey)?
