- I hate it when they only put out a few of a kind like Princess and Erin. It inflates the prices and makes it impossible for many to afford the toy for children!
- detail ....... keep them cute
- Since becoming "addicted" last June, I have enjoyed becoming a true beanie fan. I attend many beanie shows now and enjoy trading stories and ideas with the vendors and other addicts. I know there are greedy people out there, but as a whole I have found people to be quite generous with their suggestions, ideas and information. I DO feel appalled at some of the selling techniques done by some stores in my area, but I don't deal
- I think Every beanie should be $5.00 and Ty should make more good beanies like Peace because I know some one who will only spend $5.00 on them.
- I get angry that some retailers sell peace, erin, and princess from $50-$100 . It's not fair when they were meant to be sold between $5-$7.
- I wish that TY did not introduce so many in one year. My husband is not happy about my collection.
- 3 or none they'll always be fun!
- i think that erin maple and prinncias well all retire soon
- Sometimes we forget that there are kids
- Beanie babies Rock!
- JUST ANTICIPATING THE ARRIVAL OF THE NEW BEANIES AND CAN NOT WAIT!
- I think it's a lot of fun!
- I collect mainly for birthdays' I wish Ty would stop using the same birthday twice and use new dates.
- I want you to make an orange tabby beanie
- I have alot of fun collecting beanies and have made some great new friends doing it. I think that the Ty dealer-retail stores have taken some of the fun out of it though by raising their prices and how they handle beanie collector customers. It hasn't been quite as fun lately because of the attitudes but I still love them
- I get frustrated that my three girls cannot always get the Beanies they want because of those greedy adults out there only collecting for the money. I hope someday my Beanies will be an investment for my children, but if not, I will enjoy them anyway! I h
- I find the marked increase in availability on the secondary market to be somewhat spurious. The common buyer has to struggle for many weeks to find toys that are available almost instantly on Home Shopping Channel and at other Secondary outlets. I suspe
- My husband & I began this collection of BB's in 1996. He passed away very suddenly in 1997, and every BB that he personally bought for me, or picked out himself, means SO MUCH to me. I will never part with those particular ones.
- I think that the new beanies will be way over priced for a while, until they reach reatail stores. But that's okay because then I can get Glory for 5 dollars!
- These greedy adults who push the kids out of the way to get the beanies. My youngest started purchasing them with her allowances when she was 5 (1993) but now EVERYBODY has to have them. The kids are the ones who lose out.
- Am glad that TY is taking action on retailers who knowingly sell to secondary market people, and who also inflate their prices. It is time for TY, and the honest retailers to get control again..I would also like to suggest to people to not buy from the secondary market price gougers, that will help to put them out of business.
- I think that all current BBs should be sold for $5.99 because I am a kid and I'd like to be able to buy some BBs
- I collect beanie babies because they are cute, inexpensive, and my kids love to play with them. I don't worry about preserving them. I want to enjoy them. I wish more were available because I don't want to call stores, etc.
- Chocolate should be retired next because he is the only original nine that hasn't been retired yet
- I feel the secondary market is a necessary evil to allow the beanie market to continue to grow. The spread in the market is too large, though, but competition should push it down. Retailers should be forced to sell all beanies for $5.00 or whatever Ty sets and should not sell more than a couple to a single person. Secondary dealers should not be allowed to buy out the store. Ty does need to be careful in being picky as to how many stores can carry beanies and how many beanies are released. The mai
drive of the secondary market is the strong demand and low supply. Too much supply may cause death to the beanie investment!
- I love collecting beanie babies but i only wish i was able to buy the retired ones for my son. i cant and wont pay hundreds of dollars for them.
- I think that authorized retailers should sale beanies babies for retail and not marked the harder to find ones from twice the retail price to a hundred-plus dollars
- ty has to keep the cost down on the new ones! I hate when the new ones go to the secondary market and I can not purchase them from my regular store. They(even the new releases) should be less then $6.00.
- I do not like the attitudes of the retailers. I believe they are hoarding them for themselves!!!!!
- Great fun. Too many issued will slow the craze. People are beginning to think they cannot invest that much money. Extensions to like ballgames are making it have to be very specific what one collects. Need more quality control...too many mistakes.
- want more erins
- THIS IS INTERESTING TO FIND OUT EVERYONE IDEALS
- I think it is a nice trend. It is better than going off drinking or gambling. People could be doing a lot worse things.
- Retailers are taking merchandise for themselves right out the of the boxes!!
- my daughter is graduating from elementary school on June 18 th 1998. Even though she had a very difficult year she still pulled honor roll. She deserves to be able to get Wise the Owl for graduation from her parents. WHY WAS IT RELEASED SO LATE !! IT IS REDICULOUS !!!!!
- I blame this addiction on my kids!!! And 1 little Unicorn that was too cute to resist!!!
- i think that you should never retire Princess because it's part of her memorial fund but in the beanie baby handbook they said they would probably retire her htis year for some reason.
- I think ty might retire Iggy and Raimbow because of the switched tags
- I think it is unfair and stupid to sell them for so much money, they were made for kids and kids don't have that kind of money!
- I collect and have resold, at a very reasonable price, to aid in my expense of older retireds.
- I wish people wouldn't be so greedy buying multiples of hard to find Beanies like Princess.
- The rudeness of adults is astounding in their willingness to do whatever it takes to get that one special toy for their collection.
- I think that beanie babies made for europe only should be distributed in the U.S. (especially Britannia and Maple).
- As many fakes that are out there, and as hard as it is to get Princess/Erin/Peace, etc. I have a feeling ppl are going to get frustrated and quit buying beanies, therefore I feel this trend will diminish within the next 6 months
- I todally love "TY" Beanie Babyies!!!
- I am a "beanie-mom", both my daughter and I share the hobby but it is sometimes very hard to explain to a 7 year old why I am competeing with adults with alot more time and money than I have for toys. Of course she wants Erin, it is a cute teddy bear, but I refuse to succumb to the profiteers and pay that much money for a $6.00 bean bag. So, we still manage to have fun together and I keep hoping to win a "bear" lottery someday!
- I really don't like how adults buy up all the Beanies for themselves and leave only a few for the kids. I don't have Princess yet, and probably never will the way adults gobble them up and sell them for outragous prices. I only have alot because I was lucky and had good friends that helped me work on my collection.
- new bears, not retired, are way over priced everywhwere
- I love Beanie Babies! But I don't like the way most people don't have a chance to get special beanie babies like Princess, Erin, Valentino....
- BEANIE BABIES RULE! Ihave 94 and for part of my 8th grade graduation, my mom got me Libearty, Coral, Digger, and Flash! I LOVE BEANIES!
- I think that Ty should sell Teenie Beanies
- My daughter just purchased Princess, Peace, Valentino and Curly for $5.95 each at a local store. I could choke when I see what some "dealers" are getting for prices on these. There should not be price gouging allowed. It is taking the fun away from the kids.
- most stores never sell erin or princess bear
- I dont understand why TY limits the quanity of the beanies it puts out. I think thats part of the reason the secondary market is so bad. Increasing the number of beanies of any style would decrease the demand and the secondary market.
- I will only buy beanies for half of their retail
- I think some people are way to greedy and try to take advantage of kids.
- I think that a cool Beanie Baby idea would be a Vetren Bear named Army the Vetren Bear. He would be tye-dyed in camoflauge. His birthday wouldbe on Labor Day. Army would commemerate the officers in war.
- I think that TY should make a Chihuahua named Chi-Chi ! !
- I think that a cool Beanie Baby idea would be a Vetren Bear named Army the Vetren Bear. He would be tye-dyed in camoflauge. His birthday wouldbe on Labor Day. Army would commemerate the officers in war.
- Don't like that Erin is next to impossible to get, and when she is, she is VERY expensive. Don't like QVC selling beanie packages. Many retalilers in my area were selling winter '98 beanies with "strings attached.", as in: you had to purachase $25-50 dollars worth of "Hallmark" products before you could buy a beanie for $5.99. What a rip-off. Those are my gripes.
- please keep them afordable.
- I like Beanie Babies but some places overprice the WAY too much.
- I don't like when I cant get BBs their ment for kids at kids prices not for grown ups
- There is a Ty secondary dealer who sells his current beanies for upto $30, I feel if Ty could find a way to decrease these types of secondary dealers it would be greatly appreciated.
- I bought one beanie for my granddaughter and became addicted. They are charming - now two friends at work have become addicted - but we love it!!!
- I dislike not being to acquire the canadain and British bb. Also do dot understand the high prices.
- I hope the fad doesn't wear off
- All ages love th e m. They're a healhty addiction. Don't care for all of ty's marketing strategies. Would like to see more bears.
- I'm getting fed up with never being able to find any beanies anywhere because of how greedy the secondary market has become. My son has always loved them, and we used to get them as treats for special events. Everyone is always sold out, and the ones whoi do have them sell them for much more than the suggested retail for the current beanies!!
- I think that any retailer's that are selling to the secondary market should not be allowed to sell them at all. They should also be monitered to be sure they are not selling them to secondary markets over the internet. If they are an authorized seller, they should not be allowed to pull recently retireds from the shelf only to sell them at a higher price.
- I really do not think the retailers should hold some of the more rare to find (Erin, Princess) to sell only to people if they buy 3 pillow pals at $10.99 then can purchase one of the bears for $10.99.
- TY needs to FLOOD the market with Peace, Princess & Erin!
- I think that the new Beanies are...well...BORING! C'mon Ty, put something original out! What's up with all the birds?! And Fetch is EXACTLY like Spunky without the frizzles on his ears! The only cool ones in my opinion is Glory and Fortune, but good luck ever getting them! And who's gonna stand hours in line to purchase that scopion? Ick...
- I may be only 15, but I think we're all forgetting who the greedy person is, it's Ty Warner himself! He knows he's struck a gold mine, he may say that he's dissappionted in people selling Beanies for outragous prices, but he's the one who has all the control on how many are produced. If he REALLY cared about the children like he says, he'd make the bears more plentiful! If he made the bears as easy to get as all the other Beanies, then there wouldn't BE a secondary market that jacks up the prices of
all the HTFs! Ty's just sitting back and enjoying the show...if he made them all easy to get, there'd be no big demand for Beanies anymore, he knows that and he's using it for his advantage...I can't wait 'til Beanies die out so I can finally purchase Princess, Erin, and Glory at reasonable prices! I can't afford Beanies anymore!
- I may sell some in the future, but not now. I think authorized dealers should be able to charge what they want, within reason, like $15 or under for the bears and $10 or under for "regulars".
- Please, I'm only 11, atleast put words on here that I can pronounce.
- It's hard to be on the front line, as a Ty dealer. How would you feel if I locked you in a room with a tape that played, "do you have any Maples?" over and over again. some of us are legit, and just trying to run a business. Give us a break. Go after the secondary dealers. There are too many, causeing too many problems.
-
- Retailers should be prevented from taking stock off shelf for personal gain.
- I do not feel the current difficulty of getting beanies is necessary. They must be available because I have seen then on pay TV. Even the Briticinia and Maple bear.
- beanies were supposed to be for kids, most of the kids i know cannot even find them because of greedy people in the secondary market
- I really enjoy the Beannie's and I am tired of small independant merchants who buy the Beannies second hand taking advantage of the the Beannie Baby population. Some are asking outrageous prices for the Beannies. Like I read before the Beannies were selling at a cost of 4-5 dollars and no matter what type of Ty Beannie it is. It should remain the same regardless of what type of Ty Beannie Baby it is. If you want to come to Lakeland Fl. The Lakeland Sqaure Mall would be an excellent place to open
Ty Beannie Baby store for Kids only. Have every Beannie Baby except Mc Donalds Teenie Beanies in the store Its and idea and would be for you to come up with the rest. Thank you for letting me unload my thoughts about second hand sales you can reach me at Shdwchow@aol.com
- I am hoping that Beanie Babies will continue to be highly collectibles! I am collecting them for a hobby with the hopes that I will be able to use them as an investment for my three kids' College or Trade! Admittedly, I do get a little frustrated with how hard and expensive it is to get the New Releases, especially the Bears! And I really think that most of the Beanie Babies are just darn to cute!!!
- I've never seen a phenomenon last so long. I think it's great. It's fun for children and adults alike and I particularly like to hunt with my grand children as well as my grown childrenl
- I only buy retireds from secondary market- no place else to get them.
- I dislike dishonest retailers. Ones in particular that hold back stock for their friends but then tell the public they don't have any for sale. Then you are in the store and someone comes in and claims a bag of them right in front of you. Also retailers like one in our mall that carries big boxes of them out the door into the parking lot and he sells them to the baseball card shop that charges outrageous prices.
- i would like to see a shih-tzu dog real soon.
- I state that INVESTMENT is my main purpose in collecting, but there is no question relating to the FUN and FRUSTRATION of trying to build a collection paying mostly retail. $19.95 is the most I've ever paid and I've bought and sold thousands of dollars worth including Lefty, Righty, Princess, Erin, Libearty, Flutter, and Rex.
- Love them all--would love to get them all. It's the hunt that's so much fun.
- I like to buy regularly from the stores that sell everything, even princess, peace, etc for the same price of $6.00. I like the fun of the beanie hunt, but I hate the greed and hoarding of the product.
- It's crazy but so much fun!
- I was in the right place at the right time and bought princess for $15. I went back with relatives so they could be lucky too and the hallmark people treated us as if we were devious. Only one to a family which I did not know. I'm not greedy and do help fellow collectors but what should have been an awesome buy for me turned into a bad experience to say the least. I feel like I'm being dishonest or something because of the stores reactions.
- Surprised at how many birds were in the newest batch May 30th 98!!
- The more ugly they are the better.
- I think you should retire a couple of the bears and I think that you should probably play a few more tricks with some beanies. Introduce one, then make it hard to find- A holiday bb should disappear shortly after the holiday, 97 bear, Erin, Gobbles, etc.. I think some have been around too long. -- I am very new to the bb world so I probably shouldn;t say too much too soon. I think Ty is very smart and has come across a gold mind. I hope it lasts awhile. I do believe the secondary markets play a b
g role in keeping the fire going, but it is very hard to find any bears in the stores for $6.00 because the retailers are not putting them out. I know of one store that when they get Princess and Erin, one of the store employees buys them and takes them home and sells them in the paper for 90 to 110 dollars. That really isn't fair. That should do it for my thoughts. P.S. I can write some really good poems for these BB if your interested. 407-635-8702 Sharon
- I would like to see them make a lioness beanie
- Please make a Black Cocker Spaniel named Baby after my life long friend who died on Aug 27. 1998! I am 14 years old and I would love this I have every single Beanie Ever made, I started collecting when they first came out!!!!
- I think that, as a younger collector, that the secondary market is too greedy and I apploud TY for making the rule that all beanies they sell to national chains must sell beanies at 5-10$. GO TY!!!!!
- The beanie baby phenomenon is amazing! I wish it could be more fair to get some of the hard to finds - you really have to be constantly looking and still miss it when the HTF's come in. A store we visit practically every day just got 50 princess's in, and we missed it because we didn't stop that day. It's alot of fun though, and so interesting to see all the people who have gotten caught up in this craze!
- Store Should not sell Beanies for over $5. The stores around here are pretty good about it... At airports, I've seen regular Beanies for$10 that I have bought for under $5. Peaces were sold for $69.99! Beanie Babies were meant for Kids. If stores are going to make us pay $6 and up, We'll never be able to get the ones we want. The Stores around here are good, selling beanies for $4-$5. I think the Next Beanies to Retire are...... Chocolate, Gobbles, Crunch, Wrinkles, Doby, Valentino, Curly, Pinky, Mel,
tinky, Mystic, Snort, Snip, and and Ringo

- I would like to be able to find the bears at a reasonable price before the secondary dealers snatch them. It really is infuriating if you only wish to purchase one.
- to hard to get the bears
- I believe that the "generations" on tags are confusing
- i think ty should make a new beanie baby that is a peacock named FEATHERS . It could look almost like goobels but much more colorful!
- It's very disturbing that retailers are making almost impossible for the average person to beable to afford to obtain the more collectable beanies such as Princess and Erin. In my area I can't touch one unless I am willing to pay $150 for one. The average person or child just can't afford these kind of prices. Its just too bad that Ty can't have more control over their retailers who are charging such outrageous prices.
- The secondary market in needed to keep this craze going. Therefore, TY needs to have more control over its authorized reatilers and their prices on currents. Also, I think they should retire Princess on the date she died as a tribute to her life!
- I think it is very unfair what the secondary market is doing. Ty Com. should make all the bears available just like the others so the secondary market can't go crazy. Most people can't afford those prices and it hurts little kids feelings and isn't that what's it all about. Some grown=up's need to grow=up.
- I feel dishonest retailers have caused the secondary markets problems by selling in bulk to them for more money than they can sell to their customers. It is too hard to prove this so nothing will be done by Ty.
- they need a cardinal (scarlet) and a goose (honkey).
- Maybe Glory won't be sold for $200 or more like Erin and Princess began with.
- The last 6 months has shown me how dis-honest the Ty Dealers are. In my area, I have only found 1 honest dealer. These Ty Dealers that hold back all of the "good stuff" to sell to the secondary market are going to cause people to stop collecting. I am seriously considering this. To cite a current example, one Ty Dealer was asked what they thought about "Glory" and the answer was "probably like Princess and Erin", which means way out of the ballpark for most of us collectors.
- THE BEARS SHOULD BE MADE EASIER TO OPTAIN.
- The last 6 months has shown me how dishonest the Ty Dealers are. Of the surrounding area (25-mile radius) I only find 1 honest Ty dealer.
- I wish I could afford a Dark Blue Peanut, a Flutter the Butterfly, Trap the Mouse, and a Violet Teddy! Why must they be so expensive? And they should name a Beenie "Mia the Mouse."
- I wish the grown-ups would quit buying all the beanies up from new deliveries at the stores. Before we even get out of school the shipments from that day are already gone to grownups and dealers ! Not fair!
- I wishthere would be plenty of Beanie babies for everyone who wanted to buy them.
- beanie babies are great and should keep on being manufactured
- I WISH RETAIL STORES WOULD STOP SELLING ERIN AND PRINCESS FOR SUCH HIGH PRICES AND START SELLING THEM FOR THE EVERYDAY BEANIE PRICE SO MORE KIDS AND COLLECTORS CAN AQUIRE ATLEAST ONE!
- Make beanies more available
- WHEN THEY RETIRE DO NOT FILL DEALER BACK ORDERS
- I dislike knowing that the people with direct accounts with Ty sell the beanies for way to much money. They come right out and ask"how much are you willing to pay". Especially Princess and Erin. It makes it very HARD to get the bears. I am not looking forward to getting the new bears. They will be so expensive.
- I get upset with retailers who charge high prices for Princess, Erin, Peace, etc
- It bothers me when I see people get more then a few, I have seen people with up to 6 different sets... I let my kids play with the ones that I give them and they are just a toy not some thing to hide away.
- Ir's great, especially for children. The only thing I dislike is how hard it is to get new beanies when they come out. I personally don't have the time to search and stand in line but 9 times out of 10 I have to.
- i like the process of collecting them
- I would like to see an Irish Setter Beanie Baby
- I really like BB, And would like to get one off the Internet.
- My daughter loves the beanies,, we have been to several retail stores that are selling above the $5.99 set price,, then I thought I would look on internet and seen that glory a new release is being sold in excess of two hundred dollars. How can I compete with this for gifts and a collection for my daughter? I am so disgusted that this is being done. I have also ran into retail stores that have the beanies, but am told that it is not the store property but a friend selling her beanies at a higher rate
tho the store is listed on the list of places to by the beanies.
- Authorized dealers who sale beanies at secondary market prices should lose the privilage of carring beanie babies!
- I dislike that some beanie dealers hold their beanies and make you stand in line for hours to be able to purchase them. Also I dislike that they hold drawings for beanies. I think if you are able to get a rare beanie it is just luck, I also wish that ty would come out with a black lab named Lady.
- I believe that all the people who are upset with the retailers should take a good look at who is causing the problem with the shortage of beanies. If TY would send the shipments regularly, retailers wouldn't have to set different prices on the beanies. If they can make an extra dollar, why not? You can't say that you wouldn't do it also if you had the chance. Everyone should lay off the retailers. They are BUSINESS PEOPLE!
- I just plainly LUV 'em!!
- I don't like that I am collecting Beanie Babies, I can't believe I'm doing it.
- Web sites that have split scroll screens.I wish Ty would come out with a sea horse and another camel and to slow down on making dogs and domestic cats, concentrate on wild cats and different wild animals and birds. How about another manny the manetee.Love your site.Take care.
- Beanies Rule!!
- I love Beanie Babies, and thats all I can say.
- I just wanted to tell you I won an Erin in a raffle at a hallmark!!!
- Price is the key; the marketing at Ty is very wise to keep the price low on Beanies. It spurs multiple sales at one time.
- I THINK BEANIE BABYS ARE THE BEST
- I have enjoyed being a participant in the beanie baby phenomenon and have met many nice people doing it. What makes me mad is that so many people on the internet seem to have packaged lots of beanies for sale so they must be getting them from Ty, which means they are not putting them out on their shelves for the kids to buy. It makes me especially mad when the limited ones like Erin and Princess never make it to the shelves probably because someone is selling them out the back door to distributors.
like stores that keep the price between $5 and $7 so that kids can still buy them, and stores that sell them for more make me angry. When the last retirement happened I was in Bronson, Missouri. One store raised the retireds to $34.95 immediately. This is wrong just plain wrong. I don't know it Ty has any control over the prices that retailers set but I think they should.
- I think that they should make more B.B.
- retailers should "lighten" up and not be so "hard" by treating collectors like criminals.
- I have a very strong feeling that Fleece, Seaweed, and Mel might soon retire.
- Strike the cobra, Peach the bear, Creepy the spider should all be beanies
- It really upsets me that every time a new bear is added the price is over $200.00!
- I dislike the fact that the bears are all so hard to find and also so expensive.
- I hate that fact that people are getting way to greedy. I was waiting in line the other day for an Erin and a Princess (which I was lucky enough to get both for $5.99/each) and the gentleman standing behind me very matter-of-factly stated that this would be his 13th set and that he was expecting his visiting relatives to show up and get him 9 additional sets. Here I was happy as a peacock to have to opportunity to get just 1 bear not to mention 1 of each and this man already had more than his share.
People like him are what takes the joy out of it for the rest of us. Financially I can't afford more than $10 on some of my purchases and people like that are why I can't get a lot of what I would really like. I understand if it is something that has been retired for a while, but when they start jacking up the prices on currents. . it is terrible. I've already seen people trying to pre-sell Glory for $800. I just wish they would give us all the opportunity to do our purchasing for at least a little bit
after a release rather than snatching everything up right from the git-go. It would be nice to see everyone play fair. Right now I am waiting to find a Bucky that is under $40; however, I can't find one for under that in my area. I would really like this one in particular and am willing to break my golden rule and pay a little additional but not $40 additional. Oh well. . I'm not going to let anyone spoil anything for me. . . I will continue to enjoy the ones that I AM able to obtain. BTW, I absolute
y love this board. Everyone does an incredible job here. Take care - Patty
- I think that Iggy and Rainbow might retire earlier because of their missprinted tags.
- love them all
- Some retailers are selling the hard to find beanies that are current, for way more than a fair price. (5.00-7.00).
- regulate ty dealers, consignment selling illegal , several ty licensed dealers have consignment showcases of Princess, Erin, Peace, and Valentino at outrageous prices. The prices vary from $25.00 to $100.00. This is obviously their own merchandise when their orders come in the pull these items and charge large amounts of money to make a elligal profit.
- Beanies are so-o-o-o-o cute!!!!!!
- If we will all be patient, we will get the beanies we want without paying high prices. I will get Erin, Futune, and Glory without going bankrupt.
- Beanie Babies are so cute. They're becoming so expensive, though. Whatever happened to little stuffed animals that little kids can afford? Beanie Babies are meant for kids to enjoy. But now you can't find them because adults buy them first, not caring about the kids. That makes me mad!
- The beanie baby craze is incredible!
- Beanie Babies are so cute. They're becoming so expensive, though. Whatever happened to little stuffed animals that little kids can afford? Beanie Babies are meant for kids to enjoy. But now you can't find them because adults buy them first, not caring about the kids. That makes me mad!
- People selling new beanies for grand prices BEFORE they are even out
- I'm hoping to get hissy, and all the new BBs. I think that Beanies are the best thing to colcete!
- I think that they should make a Mother Teresa beanie.
- I don't like the way that stores go about selling their beanies.
- Its just a toy. Pleople are too money hungry
- HI I love Beanies but Have all the current ones execpt for Erin and Spinner and Maple. My favorite beanies from my collection r Princess and Peace and the 1997 Teddy Holiday Bear. I'D like it A LOT if you would send this to Ty Warner. Thanks Laura
- Hope the new May 30 additions will be easy to find and at a reasonable price, say $5.00 - $6.00. Can't understand why Erin is still so high. Wish the BBOC would be ready and used as an exclusive for the serious collectors. Hope it won't be a big joke.
- I dislike all the dishonest poeple out there trying to make big bucks on the children collectors, other than that this is the neatest thing in the world for families to do together - collect beanies - we love them all.
- i think that paying over $20 for a beanie is exhorbitant.
- Ty is adding to many Beanies to the already bloated amount of BEanies. I wouldn't mind this so much but he is using other beanies for the new one's for example: Fetch the golden retriever is Spunky the cocker spaniel without the frays on his ears.
- i think that this is slowly going down hill. It was fun, but i don't think it will last much longer.
- It is big! I do not like how retailers will horde the bears and tell you they have none and then you buy a few other ones and they tell you oh I have a Valentino in the back would you like one. It happened to me today, I finally got my first bear!! And learned how to get them now.
- I like fair retailer/Hate the ones who hide beanies frrom some and give to others
- the bears should b e easier to get at 5.99
- MY CHILDREN JUST COLLECT FOR FUN. I WISH I COULD ADD RETIREDS TO THEIR COLLECTION, BUT THEY ARE TOO MUCH. I DON'T LIKE THAT THEY ARE SO DIFFICULT TO OBTAIN. I DON'T LIKE THE SECONDARY MARKET BECAUSE THEY GET DIFFICULT ONES AND SELL FOR OUTRAGEOUS PRICE
- I get mad at authorized stores that sell the newly retireds for $20, or the brand new ones at marked up prices. I want to complete my 11 year old daughter's collection at reasonable prices. I won't buy from these people, but others do, which tells the retailers they can charge that amount.
- Beanie Babies are a handful of love!
- Would like to see a seahorse created
- I like beanies!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
- I get mad at authorized stores that sell the newly retireds for $20, or the brand new ones at marked up prices. I want to complete my 11 year old daughter's collection at reasonable prices. I won't buy from these people, but others do, which tells the retailers they can charge that amount.
- I love beanies !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
- Love those beanies!!!
- we should easily be able to find All curent beanies. Not have to harass local retailers every week and then stand in line for bears they most likly only recieved 7 or 8 of. I collect mostly for myself, but I do have a neice who thinks she's a princess and desperately wants a princess bear. When ever I've been able to find aretailer who may have it in stock I'm informed that I will have to buy 10 other beanies before I can buy Princess. I have no intention of selling on the secondary market but I ha
e to abide by rules to stop others from doing just that, and I don't think it's fair. Beanies are a wonderful hobby that I enjoy very much but the secondary market is making it very hard for those of us who just want to collect and occasionally make a 6 yr old very happy
- The older ones will keep going up in value, while the new releases will not gain much value growth. The market is getting flooded with too many of each new production.
- More frequent shipments, bears more available
- wish we could get them in Italy where we live!!!
- wish I could get them in Italy where we live!!!
- The hunt is fun as long as price isn't too high.
- I HATE that Beanies are so hard to find. I HATE that greedy adults buy multitudes of Beanies for resale purposes and have taken buying opportunities away from children who used to have so much fun going to a store and purchasing a Beanie.
- Ty should control the retailer's from selling over Ty price's
- I wish more places sold them so I didn't have to stand in line to get them.
- I think craze will last 18 more months. Collections of more than 100 for sale in local newspaper. Secondary dealers will get stuck with stash.
- I hope the craze never dies!!!!!!
- Why can't you get the bears for 5.99?
- I believe all prices will drop!
- Ty should make, apair of love birds (tye dyed), a border collie, a german shepard, a sea horse, an alien ( sour apple green), a black sitting bear with a golden halo on it's chest for Oprah W.'s "Angel House" (I think that's what it's call, where they are collecting change in a pig bank ,to build homes for people who need them)
- I THINK TY SHOULD SELL ONE OF EACH NEW ONE AS THEY COME OUT TO MEMBERS OF THEIR OBBC.
- waiting patiently for a Miniature Schnauzer Beanie!
- I think they should put more of the hard to get beanies out cause if you don't want alot
- I love the cats!!!!! The kitties and the tigers, leopard, pather & lion!!!!!
- Have fun Searching!!! :-)
- The craze to get new ones creates an unsatisfactory greedy feeling in all the shops, fear of early retiremments make collectors too anxious.....retailers that are selling popular styles, or just retired ones for up to 100 dollars seem too greedy
- stores should not be allowed to sell beanies for more than 12$ Canadian
- Feel that the bears are too hard to find. Retailers not leting the new buyers see or know of them. Not enough bears on retail shelfs.
- The way people hoard these things is ridiculous.
- Hope more people are exposed to beanies so they can fall in love with them too!
- My daughter suggested all of the bears for teeny beanies
- I love fair
- Send me a GLORY bear --- FOR FREE!!!!---
- Greater numbers of sitting bears should be manufactured so that everyone may buy one. The few bears manufactured are usually purchased by relatively few people who appear again and again in the retail line to buy as many bears as possible, making it unlikely that most collectors will find one. Beanies are a friendly obsession. I can hardly visit a Beanie store without buying one-or ten-plus any available Attic Collectibles or Ty Plush.
- I think the secondary market should be stopped. It is not right because it rips people off and I will never ever buy from seconday market because it is most certainly not right at all.
- Beanie Babies are very fun to collect and sell.
- I really wish that the bears were much easier to obtain, especially Princess, the least expensive one I've seen for sale was for $50. So many people are being ripped off by authorized dealers here in New Jersey and people are getting disgusted by their greed! I wish there was a greater supply of all the cute faced bears, and I hope Glory, when released isn't going to be hiked up in price as well. The best two places I've dealt with were Teddy Bears to Go, in Lakewood, Harriet was always helpful and
only sold all, including bears, for $5,50, and Carol's Hallmark, in Toms River, sold all beanies, even retired for $5.00. They make collecting an enjoyable experience.
- Dealers put them out in Am and I can't get there til PM
- I love Princess and I want her bad but the price everyone is asking for her is unbelivable, and most of us can't afford her. Most of the bears are just too high priced, and its really not fair especially for chldren.
- who determends the value on beanies and who can say pvc verses pe pellets for the Princess Bear should make a difference they both have the same verse on the hang tag and should be the same value. Everyone is running scared becouse of the drop in the bears and are calling stores to try and sell their collection and ofcourse you get worried.
- I think 3/4 of the dealers get Erin and see a chance to make a "killing" I can't believe that many dealers are not shipped that bear.
- Do you think this will last? or is this a fad?
- Iam sick of having to pay secondary prices for all the BEARS!!!!
- I think the public Especilly for the kids should let us know when new beanies will be sold at retail stores as soon as possible, not letting us wait along time.
- retailers should not be able to charge an outrageous amount for the ones that are currently retired or for Princess and Erin.
- Have never been able to buy a beanie for under $8.50 !
- stores should sell them for 6.00 like they did in the beginning its not fair that they put hier prices on certain not to mentoin HALMARK do you know what they did they put some beanies back there in there back room and waited for the retirments of may 98 to come out and then sold them for higher prices now thats not fair i mean really they should just sell them regular price I THINK TY SHOULD MAKE A RULE THAT BEANIES SHOUD NOT BE PRICED OVER AT LEAST 6.00 now prin cess is out for 100.00 and more th
ts rediculus i mean were lucky we got erin and people spending the night in stores they could just stay open longer im buying beanies there REALLYREALLY CUTE!!!!!!!!
- i dislike the high prices and the difficulty obtaining them.
- I am From Canada & I don"t agree with secondary dealers being allowed to come across and strip our shelves bare! Also I don't feel that some of the beanies are only released in certain countries like Libearty or Maple!
- I enjoy the beanies because they are cute. Some collectors have gone way over board, though. The other day I was 12 in line for a Princess bear, and little did every one know, there were only 12! I was told I was going to get the last one! How exciting. The man behind me was beside himself. He thought he had to do anything and everything he could to get Princess. Out of the blue, I feel a piercing pain on my arm. I whip around, and find he bit me! He BIT me!!! He told me he wouldn't let go un
ess I gave my spot to him, but I bit my tongue, and dealt with the pain until I got my Princess, and called security on him. Now my Princess is treasured with a story behind her.
- Hope to see the new ones come out ASAP!!
- I still wish everyday normal people could get a Princess or Erin at a honest price - I hate to see what Glory is going to go for. I don't think we should have to pay more for these bears. Sweetland candies gets Princess and sells it for 50.00 and Peace for 25.00 and are an authorized ty dealer - that's bull.
- I wish there was someway the retailers could limit the # people who buy just to sell. Let people who are buying for themselves or family have the opportunity to buy more with a bigger selection
- I really love beanies! I appreciate all the sites that have info and cool things on them about beanies! I have so many favorite beanies! My friend got me started! I love them! Thanks for letting me participate! Laura Keller
- I think I am very very lucky to have a mom that will wait 2 hours in line with me to get a beanie baby.
- I am tired of greedy people standing in line giving the store retailers grief. Then the store retailer shuts down and no one gets any.
-
I THINK BEANIE BABIES ARE SO FUN TO COLLECT BUT, I THINK SOME OF THE PRICES ARE OUTRAGEOUS. i WISH THEY WOULD SELL ALL CURRENT BEANIES FOR $5 AND RETIRED FOR WHAT THEY WANT.
THANX JIM-DELAVAN-IL
- I was going to stop calling the retailers most everyday but now because of "GLORY" I guess I'll have to have at least 5 of her so...look out retailers I is gonna be calling you most everyday till I get my wish list filled. sorry and thanks for putting up with me it must be beanie love that makes me a beanie hunter. I look forward to the challenge of being the first on my block to get all the new 14 releases ...Happy beanies hunting everyone and stay away from the negative retailers(every beanie hunter
nows a negative retailer when they meet her or him). Have a beanie day everyone!
- it will be impossible to find glory.....
- It's crazy!!!
- I have been trying to get Princess since she came out. However, some beanie collector's can be very greedy. They may have more than 1 but will buy as many as they can. I won' pay secondary prices, I'll just hope that someday I'm in the right place at the right time. Highly unlikely, since UPS usually delivers to the stores during the day and I work a full time job.
- I dislike not be able to find beanies. I work for a retailer that has 27 stores all of which sell beanies for $4.95 even if retired. Our regular customers don't stand a chance against the secondary markets dealers who make a run on them even when we limit one per customer.
- They're so damn hard to find!!
- I sometimes get annoyed because Beanie Babies are so popular that they make them retired, I want very rare Beanies but they are too expencive and the craze might not last forever
- I love collecting beanies. My mom and sister got me into it. My Mom is going through a divorce and this has helped to keep her mind off of it. Also, how can I e-mail Ty to let them know about stores that are not following their rules and I feel the store should be written up? Thanks!!!
- The lotto and over priceing drive me crazy, they are a collectors item because they are supposed to be reasonably priced to start, retailers are taking advantage!
- I HAVE ENJOYED COLLECTING BEANIE BABIES FOR FOR FIVE PEOPLE IN MY FAMILY, IN THE PAST I HAVE PAID MORE THEN THE RECOMMENDED RETAIL PRICE FOR CERTAIN BEANIE BABIES, BUT NOW I HAVE TO AGREE WITH MY BEANIE BABIE FRIENDS THAT I HAVE MET WHILE ON MY DAILY BEANIE BABIE RUNS, IF WE CAN'T GET CERTAIN BEANIES FOR THE REGULAR PRICE WE WILL JUST DO WITHOUT. RETAILS SELLING OUT THE BACK DOOR HAVE MADE US COLLECTORS RESORT TO THE SECONDARY MARKET, BUT THOSE DAYS ARE OVER. IT IS VERY FRUSTRATING TO ME AND MY FRIE
DS THAT WE ARE UNABLE TO PURCHASE PRINCESS AND ERIN IN THIS AREA TO ADD TO OUR COLLECTIONS. ONE STORE GAILS OFFICE SUPPLY IS CHARGING $75. AND ANOTHER STORE C KAY'S HALLMARK IS CHARGING $125. FOR ERIN IN A BASKET WITH OUT BEANIES. THEY ARE CHARGING $99. FOR PRINCESS AND OTHER BEANIES, AND $39. FOR PEACE. ALL THE NEW RETIRED AT THIS STORE ARE $20. AND TY SHIPS TO THEM. THIS IS TURNING THE BEANIE COLLECTS OFF. HOPE TY CAN DO SOMETHING BEFORE THESE GREEDY PEOPLE DESTROY BEANIE BABIE COLLECTING. THANKS
- MAKE MORE DOGS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
- Beanies are fun to collect
- kool
- I started my collection last weekend when I got hooked on the adorable babies through the McDonald's promotion. I picked up 25 beanie babies in one weekend! It is amazing to me how the prices and value of them fluctuate. I attended the St. Louis Beanie show last weekend. People were offering the same items at very different prices. I am currently seeking a store to become a "regular" at. I was in need of a hobby, and I can't think of a better (or cuter!) one than this...I love it!
- I think that everyone is going crazy over the new 14. They will be out for a long time. Everyone will have plenty of time, if no one hoards them all.
- What happened to Peach the mother's day bear?
- I think it is terrible that merchants and stores sell all Beanie Babies, retired and current, for more than they are worth. One particular store I've been to (no name because of possible hard feelings) advertised for selling Princess for almost $700.00!
- I DO NOT THINK THE BEARS SHOUYLD BE SO SCARCE AND PRICY IT IS NOT FAIR TO THE KIDS WHO ARE TRYING TO COLLECT THEM IT IS A RIP OFF TO HAVE TO PAY 2OO - 300 DOLLARS FOR THEM , IT IS A REAL CRIME , THEY SHOULD MAKE MORE OF THEM
- I love the Beanie Babies phenomenon! It has provided a fantastic, fun, fabulous way for me to support my family--at normal retail prices! Except for oil and gold, when has this happened???
- I think the whole phenomenon has gotten way out of hand. I try to get them at a reasonable price so I can pass the savings on to my customers but that is getting harder and harder to do. I have seen some despicable behavior from "ty direct" retailers and the secondary market that makes me wonder why I bother in the first place. Beanie Babies are a wonderful product for children and adults but the way I see it the adults really need to grow up.
- I love Beanie Babies they are so cute and I love collecting them and seeing them displayed all over my room
- I love collecting Beanies. It's something fun that my 5 year old daughter and I can do together. They're affordable, cute, and best of all, unbreakable.
- I wish it were easy to get every beanie.
- I wish retailers would sell them for the $5-$8 they are supposed to and not try to get in on the secondary market.
- I heard a rumor that Ty is going to flood the market with Princess and Peace bears. I think this would be quite funny it would definitly end the greed associated with these bears.
- iI would like to know about dealers in Hawaii
- I think counterfeits should be more publicized. I know of a dealer in Lake Tahoe who has plans of selling them direct from China.
- Make more Princess available and lower the prices
- I do not like how people charge way over $5 for beanies.
- I detest how the authorized dealers are selling currents and hard-to-finds for exhorbitant prices. Leave that up to the secondary market dealers. Let us pay market price for those we want for our kids. My daughter is desperate to get Erin since she loves her Beanies and her favorite color is green. I refuse to pay $100-$200 to an unscrupulous dealer who is selling this Beanie for 100 times the price he/she paid for it. I think these dealers should be eliminated from TY's list of authorized dealers
- working people can't get the bears!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
- I thin
- The Teenie Beanie promotion needs to be done differently or not at all. My wife and daughter love the TBB but there was no rhyme or reason to distribution.
- I say that I collect for myself and my family, but I don't want "the family" to bother my beanies!
- Retailers should sell all Beanie Babies at a reasonable price so all collectors have a chance to purchase the ones they need.
- I just love Beanie Babies and will NOT stop collecting them!
-
- I'd like to see more retirements
- I love the new Robin, Early. Especially since my name is Robin.
- The thing I dislike the most is the TY created "shortages" of some Beanies, and making retailers buy so many dozens of other Beanies they don't want or need in order to get special TY "shortages".
- Not very happy with the prices retailers put on beanies- I am going to my first show this weekend, and am excited to see how they do and what prices they have. I am really into beanies and have only been collecting for 7 months, I started just picking up a few for my son, and now I put them up- so I usually buy two, one for him to play with, and one to keep!
- i have no problam with the secondary market. but i hate it when you hav an authorized dealer selling his or her Beanie Babies at secondary prices.also have you seen the new ones..WOW..there great..My wife & I can't wait for them to come out.. P>S. it's not a Beanie Baby Phenomeno..It's a way of life..hehe.We LOVE BB's & this WEB site. it's # 1 in are Book!!!
- My daughter and I love collecting beanie babies. I'ts something so special for the two of us to do. We only started this past December and have all the currents, the May retireds, a few 97 retireds and will search high and low for the new ones when they start arriving in the stores. I think the way Ty handles this business in ingenious. There's always a mystery to what he's going to do next and that is what makes it so much fun. I believe he must keep the rules to retailers to only sell at retail
rice but place limit quantities of 1 of each type. The only thing I don't like is that he's made it so hard to find an Erin at retail. Sure would love for him to increase production on him. I would also love for Ty to sometime retire himself, stop production completely and let all of us hang on to our beanie babies for a decade or so. Then maybe I could sell (just a few) to help put our daughter through college. In the meantime, as long as he still makes them, we'll still buy them. Thanks so much for
a great hobby and special bonding with my little girl. I only wish I would of thought of it. P.S. We've also started some relatives on this craze. They also make perfect birthday gifts for the kids in the neighborhood. I always buy a few extra and have them on hand for that next party. Everyone loves Beanie Babies!!!
- sure, retiring is great for ty, but to pay 100-500$ for a beanie originally priced at 5?
- Since these are toys for children I resent the adults who are grabbing them up before the kids can get them and selling them on the secondary market for prices kids can't afford.
- I think it is rediculous that dealers are allowed to set any price they wish for beanies. I think there should be a cap on how much they can be sold for.
- Beanie babies are so cool they rule
- Ty Beanies Rule!!!
- none
- I like the new Cockatoo.
- I don't like the retailers holding back on selling the princess bears and the Erin bears just to raffle them off or to sell to the highest bidder. There is one store I go to and the only way to get either of those bears you have to buy $200.00 in store purchases. TY should do something about that !!! Because not everyone can afford to spend that kind of money!!!
- I think beanie babie collecting is a wonderful way to invest in your future, and meet people around the world with the same common interests... :)
- Toy has been spoiled for children.
- I think Stinger the Scopian will be retired with the next batch of retireds.
- Beanies are great. I love to play with my infant son using them. He really responds to them. I always take 2 or 3 to work with me, and they sit on my computer monitor.
- Wish all beanies were available for kids. My six-year old wants a Glory, but I have to tell him probably never get one for under $100.
- would like to know why the average person can't find erin & princess but secondaries have boxes full ????? somethings wrong!!!!!
- don't retire so many; retire ones that will be more of a surprise
- Don't like having to buy $50 in beanies to be able to purchase an Erin or Princess.
- This survey is too old!!
-
- I NEVER THOUGHT I WOULD PARTICIPATE-WELL, I'M ADDICTED TO COLLECTING TWO SETS, ONE FOR EACH OF MY DAUGHTERS.
- I like the new ones
- I HAVE BEEN VERY UPSET ABOUT NOT BEING TO OBTAIN BEARS WHEN THEY FIRST COME OUT ON THE MARKET! IT SEEMS THAT THE AUTHORIZED DEALERS ARE SELLING THEM OUT THE BACK DOOR.MY HUSBAND AND I STARTED COLLECTING 2 MONTHS AGO, AND WE REALLY ENJOY DOING SO. BUT IT GETS VERY DISCOURAGING WHEN YOU CAN,T FIND THE CURRENTS (ESPECAILLY THE BEARS) AT THE ISSUE PRICE! IF THIS CONTINUES, WE WILL NOT BE COLLECTING BEANIES ANYMORE.
- I hope this is not just a trend like Cabbage Patch Kids. I would like for the beanie phenomenon to continue as long as possible. I hope that my beanies will always be valuable.
- I started collecting because of my mother-in-law. Also, my husband wanted me to start collecting so I'd have a collection "of my own", but he's more enthusiastic about them than I am sometimes! I dislike the fact that the "good ones" (i.e. Erin, and pro
- I collect these for my 2 year old daughter. It makes me angry when I can't get one because there are so many greedy people buying them for resale and to make a profit. People should remember that these are meant for children. It is also very irritating when stores charge more for certain beanies. We all know that they didn't pay any more for them, so why should we?? I really do enjoy collecting beanies and I am happy that my daughter will have them to enjoy in the future.
- Like: immediate cash flow, (shipments sell in 1-5 days tops!) Increase in traffic in our shop. ( better than a full page ad) Dislike: Backorders. We have only received 12 Erin and 12 Princess. Also, Dislike H.S.N. Where do they get the volumn of beanies when we wait patiently for U.P.S. deliveries. Thanks, Jean
- I dislike the secondary market trying to make a fortune on beanie babies
- Were are all of the beanie shows, and were do I look to find them?
- I think the ones we tuck away in the attic in another 50 years will be much more vaulable the even now!
- Sweet
- I love the new bassett hound "Tracker"... he rules!
- I wish the people selling Princess on the secondary market would donate their profits too!
- Why do people jack yhe prices for BBs so much
- I really like Beanie Babies and I would like to see new beanies shuch as Hip/tye-died cat, Coffee/Caribou, Trek/Starfish, and Elvis/Blue Suede Teddy.
- i think it's fun, except for the nasty and unfair retairers, and the very greedy and only to make money people, ( about half and half) i have met and talked to alot of fun and very nice people. it's a break from the everyday routine.
- I have been buying and selling beanies since '96 with the intention of reselling to pay for the entire TY collection. I have since sold enough beanies to cover this cost and have every beanie except the NEW FACED bears and employee bears, all done for free! I was lucky to have purchased duplicates in the early years and made alot of profit when I resold them. I am nervous that the beanie market is going to fall and eventually crash because people are sick of the retailer's greed and of battling doze
s of amatuer beanie dealers at stores. It sure isn't for the kids anymore!- Joanie Meckelberg a.k.a JoBEANIE Collectibles Wautoma, Wisconsin 920 787-7125.
- No
- I like the fact that you can still pick up the expensive Beanie Babies for a reasonable price. The only thing I worry about are those counterfeit Beanie Babies going around.
- I started collecting because I saw kittens that were like pets I used to have. Since then, I've started adding babies when I see them. I've bought most because they have a sentimental connection to a friend or event in my life. I doubt that I will own ALL the babies, but I'm not really interested in going all out. I like them, but in 5 years, will they still have value? The sentimental value will never decrease, regardless of the market value. I think that some folks who are totally into this cra
e have gone a little wild. I'm not sure that babies were created to start a frenzy, but a FRENZY has been started. I don't like hearing about greedy retailers or pushy consumers, and I hope that it will calm down soon.
- I wish more restrictions were put on retailers to keep pricing down to where most people can afford to buy them. One of the local stores in the town I live, was pricing the hard to finds (like Erin and Princess) at $100 each. I made a copy of the News Flash from the Ty homepage and sent it to them. Now they are selling the retired for $9.99 and the hard to finds at $24.99. This is still too much in my opinion, but I will pay it for certain beanies.
- beanie babies are cool! i'd wait in line for hours for the next one that I wanted
- baldy should retire
- the retail prices are increased over the holidays
- They are very cute and I wish whoever is selling them, luck.
- What i like is that they are not sold in big chain stors. What i dis-like is that they are so expensive for the ones that are worth alot of money, also i dis-like that when they are shipperd to stores there is never a great deal of that rare one and that most of the tages are bent.
- The markets on HTF new releases like Erin and Princess will drop. The people hoarding these beanies are driving up their own prices and the market is no longer willing to pay outrageous prices for these. People are more willing to boycott high prices and hope supply catches up.
- i wish they would make the same amount of beanies as every other beanies and sell them at a decent price.
- I have met many very nice people while standing in line for babies, but I dont like that fact that even the authorized dealers are selling Princess and Erin for outrageous prices. .
- The secondary market has driven up the prices of beanies in many "authorized Dealers" and I think that is wrong. The average Kid with $5 can hardly ever purchase a beanie in retail stores anymore.
- They never have beanie shows in N.H.
- AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
-
- I HONESTLY AM AMAZED AT THE WHOLE BB PHENOM, BACK WHEN MY KIDS & I FIRST STARTED COLLECTING, WE DID IT FOR FUN BECAUSE THEY ALL WERE SO CUTE! NOW IT'S BIG BUSINESS & IT HAS BECOME A CHALLENGE TO TRY TO FIND THE NEW BEANIES AT THE REG PRICE OF 4.99, MUCH LESS SOME OF THE OLDER BEANIES. I THINK THAT THE CHARM OF COLLECTING IS GONE WHEN YOU HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT THE CONDITION OF THE TAG, & KEEPING THEM IN BAGS TO PROTECT THEM FROM UNDESIRABLE ELEMENTS. I FIND MYSELF BUYING SOME BEANIES JUST BECAUSE I THINK
HEY WILL BE VALUABLE SOME DAY. IN THAT WAY I GUESS I'M JUST AS MERCENARY AS THE NEXT GUY, BUT IT DIDN'T START OUT THAT WAY.
- I wish the bears were easier to get--Gloryand fortune will be the next impossible to get
- I think Ty tends to retire those who have had a variation.
- I am disappointed in the greedy nature of some individuals that are involved in the selling of Beanies. Unless you know someone on the "inside" or can afford not to work and constantly "stalk" deliveries, you have NO chance in purchasing them for a fair price. I find it disappointing when my kid (who these "toys" were intended for!) wants a specific Beanie, only to find that it sells in the hundreds! I don't have it, and REFUSE to spend it!
- I would really like to see retailers selling beanies for the $5-$7 range. In West Virginia the normal retail price is anywhere from $15-$25 for everyday beanies and any teddy bear style automatically sells for $150. It hurts the people like me who can't afford that price for every beanie.
- I feel that the secondary market has more or less taken over what most people have to pay for new beanies. It is much too easy for the secondary dealer to buy up all available new products before the average shopper is able to making it almost impossible for the average person to afford to complete their collection. For children it is impossible. I hope the craze dies down so that I can enjoy collecting them again.
- I think beanie babies are cool!!!!!
- I dislike how retailers and the secondary market take advatage of parents who are collecting for their children by placing such high prices on beanies. Especially when they are just released. I feal that anything over $6 is crazy for a beanbag! But when you have your child crying and begging it gets pretty hard to say no.
- i wish beanie retailers wouldnt seel some beanies for so much i.e. bears
- I do not like the idea that retailers can sell the items for whatever price they want. I paid $20 for Peace, thinking I was getting a great deal and then found Princess for $4.99!!
- I enjoy the fun of collecting and seeing significant valued gained so quickly. I dislike those people who go into a store and buy stock out. When McDonalds had teenies (It only lasted 2days in my general community) there were people buying 25 at a time. Then they'd have someone else from their party buy another 25. To me the idea was for the kids not for the greedy adults. Some children were unable to get just 1 not to mention a full set of 12. That seems to be a rarity.
- I think the whole thing has gone totally out of control, including me!! :-)
- Beanie Babies are supposed to be fun to collect, but it's so hard to find resonably priced NEW beanies because of greedy retailers that never get reported. Information about reporting them should be posted for all collectors to see.
- I love the dog beanie babies!!! Emma
- i think they should make enough 4 everyone 2 have what they want
- I think it's a fad like anything else and the "e" will eventually be added to make it "fade". But I enjoy it just the same.
- I love my beanies! Ty should come out with new ones more often
- I would like to see more breeds of dogs. I like that they are making more wilderness animals. i.e. the deer. Keep up the good work Ty. Birthdays I would like to see 2/15/69(?), 3/5/67(?) & 4/10/96(?)
- I really like collecting the BB. I'm always looking for them! I also think that Ty makes to many of them and their are not as worth as mush as they were before.
- I think that the new bear Glory and Wise the Owl will be the hottest and hardest two new releases to acquire. But I hope I get mine, and a Wise for my daughter who just graduated in May. Thanks
- It's just so darn fun to find a 'highly desirable' at $5.95!
- I feel if they retired more and only kept 20 beanies they could keep them out in the stores more.
- My daughters, and grandma think Ty should put out a set of teenie beanies of just bears!! They would be soooo cute!!! A crackdown on their retailers who buy Princess for 2.50 and sell her for hundreds should be shot, it's very difficult to explain why can't we afford Princess Mommy? to the children- remember them?????
- this was confusing, but pretty fun
- other than retireds, I don't think any should be sold over $10
- I'm really tired of adults hording and not letting CHILDREN, which these were made for anyway, get them. Thank you.
- I think that they should have a chinchilla beanie!!!
- I can't believea year ago I was only buying with my grandchildren in mind, when suddenly the bug hit me personally with Hissy the Snake born on my birthday and the next thing i was off and running on the quest and involving my "business leader" husband . Who incidently can't believe have many conversations, Beanie Babies, have started with clients. If nothing ever comes of this craze it has been a fun ride. We travel a lot and to many corners of the USA and it is my husband who is first to seek out
he airport gift shops. Thanks ! for the fun.
- Well I hate it that when Princess Bear came out tom any people bought her up and then charged really high high prices I thought this was for the kids but My daughter cant even afford to buy a Princess Bear now they are going for to high of a price She only gets 6 dollars to spend on beanies every 2 to 3 weeks and that price that people are charging for ehr is Way to high for Her to Buy it..
- I really like how you let kids choose any Beanie they want.
- I hope that the new beanie babies are not so hard to get. If they are hard to find at first , I hope ty does not flood the market like the last new releases......
- I hate Hallmarks who sell for more than what they are supposed to.
- sell all same price no raffles
- I think there should be a better way to display them
- It's a lot of fun for any age (even young children). It's almost like playing the stocks on a tangible level.
- I have met alot of nice people who are collecting the BB and the McDonald's BB. I had a great time with the McDonald's BB, it was like a scavenger hunt.
- no
- I love the bears the most. I hope TY retires some more soon.
- I think it is a fun hobby for adults and kids. We all like to get in on the "fever" of finding new or rare beanies, but I like the people who keep it in the realm of fun. I don't like the few who are greedy, obnoxious, and overly-obsessed.
- I think Ty does a wonderful job of marketing his product. However, his border tactics are being carried overboard by the customs officials. I can understand not letting large shipments of beanies into the U.S., but when a child carrying 2 or 3 over the
- Beanies rock! =)
- I would like to still see TY limit the number of production per beanie so they do not loos their value. I enjoy seeing the children play with them but adults should be allowed to collect them for value or investment in the future.
- I dislike retailers that inflate the cost of the bears or new releases. Additionally, when they are separated from the rest of the stock so they cannot be purchased. It has been very frustrating for the kids and they cannot understand why retailer so that.
- I dislike retailers that inflate the cost of the bears or new releases. Additionally, when they are separated from the rest of the stock so they cannot be purchased. It has been very frustrating for the kids and they cannot understand why retailer so that.
- ty should make sure the prices stay low
- I THINK THAT TY SHOULD NOT HOLD BACK ON THE TEDDY'S, THEY ARE SO HARD TO GET THAT I HAD TO PAY $95.00 FOR ERIN FOR MY CHILD. TY NEEDS TO PUT OUT AS MANY TEDDY'S AS THE REST OF THE ANIMALS, ITS JUST NOT FAIR THAT ITS SO HARD FOR A CHILD TO BUY A DESIRED "TEDDY BEAR" , THE TOP MOST WANTED TOY OF ANY CHILD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
- Ty dealers should sell all their beanies at the same price, even if they are considered hard to find.
- I DISLIKE HOW TY DOES THERE MARKETING TATICS IT MAKES THE SECONDARY MARKET PRICE THE BEANIES TO HIGH..
- I really do think that they will retire Chocolate cause he is the only original 9 in production. I also think that new one, Wise will retire, and possibly Glory.
- Believe TY will produce greater quantities of beanies to cut down on secondary market prices. The more produced the less the value. Beanies are for KIDS.
- I was wondering if the yarn "Derby" was completly made of yarn or if that is just his main? Please answer at iggi_69@hotmail.com :)
- Buying Beanie Babies for my grandkids has really been fun and of course they love them! Really the only thing that has happened that really ticked me off was when a store in Houston, TX called me and said they would be on sale the next day and I got down there very early. Approx. 30 people were in front of me in line and about 10 minutes before the store opened about 20 women came and got in line in front of. Their friends had "saved" them a place and when I got to the counter to buy the Beanie Babi
s, there was only one new release left. The store probably didn't even know it happened but several of us were pretty mad but too polite to say anything. I just got there earlier and was first in line the next time!!
- I do wish that some of the retailers would sell princess and erin at a decent price
- The pricing for official retailers should stay the same. The fun of a multi-generational family collecting has brought us so much fun. The price is right and the craze is still going strong
- for what my 10yr old daughter paid for erin I hope she retires soon.
- Way too addictive, I don't know how I got so into this.
- Would like to have a set schedule for new released ones and current ones to be retired.I don't see any pattern being followed. Thank you.
- I really wish that the kids would have more of a chance to buy the beanies themselves. I have a collection and my daughter has her collection (so she can play with them:). I have to go during lunch to "hunt" for my next beanie and I have to buy as many as I can when I find them and hide them from her so that she can get them as rewards. I wonder if there is a way to give the kids a chance?
- I think Ty should get busy and send out more Princess and Erins so the rest of the world can get them for the NORMAL price of $5-7
- We need more authorized dealers and a way to find them
- I dislike stores raising the prices on certain Beanies; I dislike having to all around to see when new shipments come.
- I don't think it is fair when people sell beanies for more what they worth.
- I Like Everything About Beanies
- People are getting too crazy.
- I like beanies. They are good.
- im obsessed with beanie babies
- princess bear will be at the top at some point
- I live on Long Island, NY & I feel that the retailers seem to be the BIGGEST problem in the collecting of beanies!!! I am sick & tired of paying 15-20 dollars for beanies that are not even retired. I am definately going to make a complaint to TY any chance I can about all those who are doing the wrong thing in making huge profits off of beanies.
- beanie babies are really cute&i love teenie beanies
- Would like to have a set schedule for new released ones and current ones to be retired.I don't see any pattern being followed. Thank you.
- Make the prices LOWER!!!!
- Would like accurate production numbers, cost AND if child labor is used.
- I hate the secondary market selling and ty sould sell beanies to people that wouldn't rease price.
- I Think that that those sport guys are selling too high prices
- I wish there were more bears available and that the ones that are available were easier to get. I also hope , in the future, that there will be a black lab, yellow lab and a chocolate lab. The black and yellow labs first please.
- They are narf!
- I love Beanies, but they are expensive!
- I have the whole cat & rabbit collection along with a mistaged Flip.
- I wonder how long it will last,
- I like beaniebabys!
- !!!!!!! I LOVE BEANIE BABIES !!!!!!!
- Ty should post an address that people may write or e-mail to report stores that are ripping off the customers with $175 + price tags at TY retailer stores.
- I think they retired too many cute and popular ones to increase the demand on a limited supply.
- The retailers do not like the secondary dealer to get high prices for their beanies so they raise their prices but no one makes people pay the secondary prices and TY has not raised the retailers prices so they are always assured of their profit. Once the Beanie goes out the door the retailer should not even concern themselves.
- I like the stores that don't raise prices for rarer beanie babies. Like I found my Princess at a Hallmark for only $5.99. Now that's a good store.
- I feel that dealers should limit the customer from purchasing more than 1 per style and no more than 5 per visit. I mean I have watched the 2nd market people purchase multilple styles so they can just resell at a 300 plus mark up. I watched people go into McDonals for the TBB's and buy 10 to 12 of each style so they can just resell. That is what is getting me turned off. I ended up buing Erin for over hundred dollars becase I could not find him in the stores.
- trying to get my hands on new beanies
- THIS SURVEY IS AWESOME AND HELPFUL TOO!!!!!!!!
- I think it is unfair that as soon as a new one comes out that is special or unusual the retailers put them behind the counter and sell them for an outrageous amount. It is UNFAIR.
- I would like to know how to complain about retailers selling out "the backdoor".
- I think beanies and Leonardo DiCaprio are#1!!!!
- I would like to see a pegusus to go with magic and mystic
- I think maple, princess, valentino, and erin should be retired
- HOW LONG WILL THIS LAST
- I like to collect the Beanies because they are cute and fun to look at, but knowing that they might be worth a lot of money helps when I start spending a lot of money on my collection.
- I collect for the fun of it and would like to see ty comment on a fair and affordable price for all be lived up to
- I collect just the bears, But my daughter collects all of them. So the survey contains both of our collections. I think it is sick how people take advantage of a kids toy. It's not right, but if pepole are stupid enough to pay the outrageous prices what does that say for them. When first started I paid 20.00 for one and in a week found it for 6.00 that was the last time. Now I just wait. For example I have purchased 5 princess for 6.00 ea. See it pays to be patient
- I think Beanie collectors compete with teddy bear collectors - that is why the bears go first and fast. The same thing happened here in Southeast Virginia - we have a lot of pig collectors and Squealer sold quick. The same thing will happen with Jabber the parrot - alot of Jimmy Buffet "parrothead" fans out there! What bothers me the most is when authorized retailers don't put Princess or Erin out for us to buy - they either sell them at a much higher price or auction them off or something. Just a
out every store in our area does this??? Can Ty flood the market for a little while with the bears to stop this?? I understand the secondary market however the retailers should not be allowed to do this!!!
- I like the bears, but they are too hard to get and when available they are too expensive
- Glory Will Be The Hottest Beanie EVER!
- i think that all retailers who try to sell beanies (like erin/princess) for $100 should not be retailers for ty, they should be banned from ever receiving ty merchandise fo rthe life of the business.
- I do not like the way some retailers are taking advantage of the popularity of Beanies. The toys were created for children and children are virtually unable to buy them now.
- I don't like the fact that some of the surrent beanies are hard to find. I don't necessarily have to have any of the retired ones ,only if I can get a good price for them. I don't pay over $6.00 for a beanie. I think paying over $6.00 IS A WASTE OF MONEY
- Even though I am 34 years old and I collect the beanies for myself, I do so because I love them and my kids are not interested in them. I find it extremely distressing that a normal child cannot go out and spend their 5 dollar allowance to purchase a current beanie baby (e.i. Princess, Erin, Peace, Valentino, Curly). I understand retired pricing, but I do not understand current beanie pricing. I also believe it is unethical for retailers to not make them available to everyone. First come first serve
I have heard many tales of people saying, yes, they got 20 princess beanies, but they sold them to their friends or best customers, never off the shelf. Some of the blame belongs to Ty. Supply and demand after all rules. Also, by releasing certain beanies (
- I think it is cool that you have a survey like this.
- I finally got a Princess (second issue), but I felt that if proceeds were going to charity, they shouldn't have limited the numbers sent to each vendor. Think how much more money could've been donated to Princess Diana's foundation! Then they did the same kind of limit with Erin. I realize that practice makes the Beanie more valuable on the secondary market, but it sure is hard on those of us who collect them because we love them (not to resell). Before I begin sounding too negative, I'd like to sa
that I've been caught up in the excitement of the Teenie Beanies and am now looking forward to the challenge of acquiring the new releases.
- They are preciously cute, but also love meeting the (mostly very nice) people involved and the closeness that family members and I share in doing this. Dislike the dishonesty of some of the primary retailers and their attitude that people who buy Beanies are not "customers" in the sense that people who buy other things at there store are. Also, sometimes don't like the long lines. Do not think that so many Beanies should be produced, however, that you run in to them everywhere- such as has happened lat
ly. Hope to see some more dinosaurs and insects (butterfly, dragonfly with irridescent wings (?) in the future.
- I dislike how hard it is to get them
- Is there a help group for Beaniacs? I got it bad!
- The bear beanies are nearly impossible to obtain at a reasonable price. It would be nice if they were a little easier to get.
- Beanies are so hard to find in the stores and I wish they were easier to find. Other than that they are so cute. I love them!!
- I feel that in a few years there will be less of a demand on the beanies. He needs to retire some bears. There are way to many out there right now. I think that Ty Warner should retire some more beanies, period. It seems to produce more of a demand on the market. Like he doesn't know this already. I feel what his marketing team is doing right now is a great idea. Advertising in the paper that a person is buying a beanie for 50.00 so people rush out and buy. Then when they call the number they say thank
we already have one. Smart marketing tool. ErthAngl24@aol.com
- I think Hissy will be worth a lot, like Slither
- i wish all beanies, even princess and erin, would sell for 5-8 dollars! kids and teens can't afford the beanies and weren't they made for us???!!!!
- I feel that to many of the people selling BB's on their web sites are over priced.
- I think Ty should have come out with more than 14 new ones or retire some more pretty soon and come out with some more.
- Have a selling market for people
- Ty is ruining the whole idea, they say that all beanies are $5, but then they come out with Princess and ERin, as much as I like collecting Beanies, Ty sucks.
- PEOPLE ARE TOO GREEDY
- They're cute and good collectibles
- I believe that "critical mass" has been reached and that most collectors will not lose their shirts although they may not keep up with inflation
- Enjoy them very much. I would like to see a Collie Dog, maybe a pair, one brown & white & one tri color. All kids love Lassie. Beanie Babies don't sass, take drugs, make unnecessary demands. That is why, I think, that people love your beanies.
- have more bears but different colors then brown and white , like to see a poke a dotted bear,or a red white and blue bear for fourth of july that would be great bear.
- I love to collect bb. But I think that you should make a bb that is a chicken named" Peck ."
- I THINK THAt THey should be cheaper 3-4$
- People who don't even touch their beanies
- I love Beanie Babies. They are cute and every child should have at leat one.
- I love the new releases!
- I have an Idea for a new beanie baby. Baby, the party colored cocker spaniel
- Princess and the Erin bears are impossible to get!
- Will the frenzy continue? I hope so!
- I wish us in Canada could get the USA bears and vice versa!!
- I find it very frustrating when a dealer will only allow you to purchase one beanie. I understand keeping dealers out, but my mother and I do this as a joint hobby, so I think allowing me to buy two at a time should not be that difficult. Some places are understanding - others are fairly rude,
- I hate the high prices of retired Beanie Babies!
- answer to #18. which ever one(s) i come across first
- I luv beanie babies. The secondary market needs to be fair and price them right! These were made for kids and kids are not able to buy anyone's HIGH prices!!!! :-(
- I love Beanie Babies!!!!!!
- Too much media hype, causing prices to soar
- I like Happy Meal beanie babies
- Please make a veterans teddy for the ones who fought for or freedom .Also I dont think its right for adults to get all the beanies.
- Beanies Rule! I LUV THEM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
- In the words of Tony Tiger: "THEEEEEEEEYYYYY"RRRRREEEEEE GRRRRRRRREAT!
- My friend and I thiink they should cpme out with a cute little snail
- Some of the beanies that you have in the box that we are meant to pick which on ewe think is to retire next, have already retired, like Bones, Blizzard, Stripes, ect....
- I love the new releases!! I looked at a picture of all of them and they are sooooo awsome! Now I think my favorite beanie is Glory the bear- my mom's too!!!!
- I DIDNT LIKE WHEN NANOS CAME OUT AND PEOPLE TURNED THEIR ATTENTION TO THE NANOS BUT I WAS STILL FAITHFUL.
- How long will beanies last?
- RETAILERS NOT KNOWING WHAT SHIPMENTS WILL BE OR WHEN THEY WILL RECEIVED
- Retailers should not be allowed to sell current beanies for more than $6-$7.00, i.e., Erin and Princess!
- I wish someone would sell "Erin" for a decent price.
- SOMETIMES THEY ARE TOO HARD TO LOCATE, THEN YOU HAVE TO PAY THE SECONDARY MARKET PRICE. THE STORES DON'T STOCK A LARGE QUANTITY.
- I like beanies, but not as much as in 1997
- I think that Beanies that are popular are shipped in too small quantities and that encourages the secondary market too price gauge.
- love it
- beanies should be availble easier and in Canada be cheaper
- Beanie Babies are great fun! Retailers need to be stopped from selling shipments out the back door. Secondary dealers are receiving theirs from Retailers. This way it would be affordable for us all to collect. Ty could aks for surveys of customers at each retailer, One question that should be asked is which Beanies are searching for, has your retailer had it available at ANY time even if you didn't receive one? This would stop those retailers from selling to secondary dealers if the retailer say they h
ven't received that particular Beanie and TY knows what was shipped to the store the retailer should be dropped.
- I love Beanies,
- beanies are a good investment and are something grand to pass down to the kids. they are reall so much fun!
- I think that beanies should be for children not insane adults who want to charge Erin the bear for $300!
- I likwe them a whole lot, but I don't collect entirely for worth because this fad will eventully die out and all of the people who buy a whole bunch of everyv kind of beanie they see will end up with a ton of worthless merchandise wich they don't even want!!!!!!!
- I am really tired of retailers that have placed orders and then the retirement list comes out and the retailer then increases the price on the beanies they ordered that now happen to be retired. I think they should sell them at their regular price or lose the opportunity to sell beanies!!!
- I think this is a great way to cheak out bb see ya!
-
- We need a toll free number to report unfair practices. We see them over and over again.
- i dont like all the rules most retailers are putting on the selling of beannies and the fact that lost focus on the fact that they are for kids, they are making it hard for kids to acquire the beanies
- I would like to be able to get off work and buy a beanie when they come out. I only get them when they are left over. My nieces have collected them since the beginning and I got involved because they called and said they couldn't get any more. And to think when they visited, I would only let them buy one or two beanies out of hundreds. If I had only known.
- I am very disappointed that a current beanie such as Princess is going for such a high price. Ty sells them to the retailers for 2-3 dollars. The retailers turn around and sell them for 50 to 100 dollars. It is very hard to explain to my daughter that the price is to high and we can not buy it.
- This is probably one of the most respectable and enjoyable "crazes" around in which young and old can participate in singly or jointly.
- I think Glory the Bear wil retire quickly because it looks very difficult to make w/ all of the stars on it's body
- It is great, fun and make a lot of friends.... will last for a long time!
- Iwish that Ty would come out with more of the "teddy bear" beanies. I was really disappointed that the rumors about a peach bear were not true. I think the time is ripe for a seies of pastel bears like the old jewel tone bears. (And maybe it will look better in person, but I really do not like Glory or Fortune.)
- I hate the seconedery maret!
- Would like to see more stores selling them, easier access to buying them.
- Here are a few retirement predictions: Blackie, Chocolate, Pinky, Snort, and Freckles
- I think the secondary markey is too high. i saw a britania for $550 that to me is a big rip off!!!
- sometimes I hate my beanies because I know there are bears I can never buy I am refeiring to new items only.
- I don't think it is right for TY to make it so hard to find Erin or Princess Di. They need to put more on the market, although we have one of each I know alot of kids that don't have one yet.
- I think every authorized retailer who sells a beanie for more than the suggested retail should lose the right to sell them. I don't mind paying a lot more for retired beanies, but current ones sold by retailers out to make a killing irritate me to no end.
- Storing and displaying beanies is a problem at home as there are so many. Unless a good display case or something comes out, I think it will be the thing that undoes the popularity of
- t.y beanie babies are good for all age for kids and me beanies mitch NY
- I wish the retired beanies were more affordable
- love my beanies cant want for the new beanies in late may
- cute cute cute-can't wait for the new ones. The deer looks so cute!! On the whole, I only buy new ones at original price (with rare exceptions)
- I attended a Beanie Fest today and was thoroughly turned off by the number of resellers with hundreds of BBs for sale. Several booths had in excess of 200 Princess and Erin. No wonder those of us who want only one can't find one at a reasonable price. Today was the announcement of the new BBs from Ty and there was someone at the show with five already for sale. It was next to impossible to find TBBs at McDs last week-end and many dealers at this show were selling complete sets of 12 for $50 - $100+.
- I want to buy Humphrey!!!!!!!!!!
- All the old people need to let the BB's serve their purpose of being toys for kids. Back off, my little brothers wanted certain ones from McDonald's anddidn't get them because they were in school and all these adults ran in and bought them all. Like I said, BACK OFF!! Let the little kids enjoy them. That's what they're for(or is it?)
- After seeing TY's message about overpricing by merchants, I keep a copy with me and when I find a PRIMARY MERCHANT selling BB's for $10-25 AND up, I give them a copy. Usually they do not care that they have been caught gouging their customers.
- That the stores should put all the beanies out first come first serve , and that they shouldn't go up on the prices.
- I love to see the look on my daughters face when she gets a new beanie baby. Thats enough for me!
- I love to see the look on my daughters face when she gets a new beanie baby. Thats enough for me!
- Different horses would be nice.
- These things kick ass... especially that new one, Glory... I bet Glory and Wise will retire by the end of the year...and Blackie will retire the next time around... where is Hip the cat?
-
- I am a collector of Beanie Babies and I do not think it is fair that in a lot of instances the average person never even gets a chance to purchase "new" Beanie Babies at the regular SR price ($5.00 to $7.95). This is my main complaint about Beanie Babies. I would like to be able to purchase the new (i.e. Princess & Erin) at regular retail rather than $75.00 and up. Never even had a chance to add them to my collection.
- Would like to see more Bears made.
- I'm proud to say that my store still sells all of the beanies for only $5!
- I think TY should make more Princess so everyone could have one.
- McDonald shold get many more tbbs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
- I think Beanies are fun to collect but I think that adults sometimes deprive children of the fun of it. I think adults can collect Beanies but should not deny children's ability to aquire and play with them. I think Beanies can be a good investment but more people should do it because it is a fun hobby and not for greed.
- I think Glory is very gaudy
- I only wish that I could afford more beanies, but my credit cards are already to their limits!! I accept donations!!
- I dislike the fact that when the bears are sent to retailers they are rarely sold at suggested retail price and are almost certainly raffled off!
- I dislike the fact that when the bears are sent to retailers they are rarely sold at suggested retail price and are almost certainly raffled off!
- This survey was enjoyable
- predictions on retirements
- people selling beanies for outrageous prices
- I think that people should not be greedy with the new bears! Everybody should get a chance to have one! These greedy people need to stop!
- There is no rhyme or reason of who ty decides to retire
- people need to stop being so greedy with the new bears
- I love beanies and I will always collect
- people need to stop being so greedy with the new bears
- I think they will retire Erin, Princess, Peace, and Blackie next. just a thought. :)
- yes
- no
- I think Ty should should stop those huge beanies those plush things they suck
- I just want dealers to sell the beanies and not hord them to sell higher or just to their friends
- I do not like how some retailers are selling beanie babies for a high price! Some kids that are my age would like to purchase a princess bear because we can't becasue it is to much money!I would like if u could lower the prices please!
- I like beanie babies. I plan to resale them when I go to college in 6 years.
- I would like to see a shelty sheep dog beanie baby
- My mom really doesn't really let me buy them HELP!
- I would like to see Ty make a beanie exclusively for the US, similar to Maple or Brittania. It does not necessarily need to be a bear.
- I LOVE Glory I think he/she will be very popular!
- Tie dyed ones are moer appealing to me
- I hope Beanies stay FOREVER!!!!!!!!
- I LIKE ALL THE BEANIES.
- I don't like how TY says that beanies are affordable, when ones that I LOVE like MANNY are $190
- My comments are that they make ENOUGH Princess bears so that everyone who wants one can get one. It is pretty sad that a $5-7 toy can't be purchased. Even if they were to mass market it and charge $10, it would be worth it. But to pay what dealers are asking? Get real!
- retailers should not be greedy and not put out things on purpose. I do agree with setting limits as to how many each family can have. Too many people buy the bulk or send in others whom are not collectors just to rat hole certain types for themselves. This isn't fair to the kids!
- I really love beanies but they charge too much for them.
- My father and his fiance have been collecting for a while now, my husband and I just got started last week. It is an addiction, we are on vacation now and that is all we look for. We are really enjoying this new hobby. I have an 8 month old son so he can have them all one day.
- I would like to purchase any BB especially Erin Bear at a reasonable price which is up to $5 to $15.
- I'm so glad that they are selling tbbs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
- make princess diana cost less, so normal people could buy them
- Beanies should be widely available to all, ex: Princess can only be bought most places for big money. Ty should not release new ones until sufficient supply is available.
- First , I am a grandmother and will bend over backward for my girls to have what they want and now I have beanie fever but my fever is only for the bears. Now ,I want the Princess. So I patiently wait because Ty says there will be more on the market. This is true . I get a call that my local retailer has a huge shippment of Princess . We go to the store only to find out she has sold ten to the first customer of the day and the rest of her shippment to another lady. Who in turn , will sell the bear for te
times what we would have given for it at our store. I am sorry but I just had to blow off some steam. Lets get back to trends and predicitions ! Here in west Tn. people are wondering if it will last . Yes . Some people do go over board (like my daughter-in-law).It will last for me because I'm going to stay mainly with the bears but I do admit that I got involved with the McDonald's tbb's this year but I might give those to my step-granddaughter although her father does not approve. How someone does not a
prove of these little fellows is beyond me.
- I'm sick and tired of stores not putting out princess,, erin and other bears because they are selling them for more money on the internet and secondary market
- They all should sell for $5.00
- I think they will make some more bird beanie babies
- I can't believe the outragous prices some people are asking...gimme a break! You paid $2-3 for them and you are asking $20? Oh yeah, that makes sense.
- Princess should have not been allowed on secondary market unless extra profits were to go to Her Fund
- I don't think that it is fair that retail stores sell current Beanies for over $7.
- I love them and I always want more
- I love beanies, I wish that retailers would be more fair in how they will often hold back beanies for certain people.
- Ty's website has changed and they have taken alot of good things away, like the lists. I NEED them to hepl me find what I need!!!!!!!!!
- It is a fun hobby and a fun economic project which is teaching my grandson responsibility for his collectables.
- collecting beanie babies makes me happy and i'm so glad there's so much on the web about them. also, i have met very nice people in my search for beanies
- Collecting beanie babies is fun !!!!!!
- I want to be able to purchace Princess and Erin at a reasonable price!!! I've never seen either of them for less than $125!! I'm only 15, I can't even afford to collect these things anymore!
- I don't like it when authorized dealers up their prices when some beanies retire. I was under the impression that TY did not like this either, but I see alot get away with this. Are they pulling a double and acting as secondaries as well. If so, that's not fair to the consumer.
- I wish TY would do something about the unethical retailers who charge way too much for the Beanies! I love all the new Beanies and look forward to finding them...at reasonable prices!!! We never had a chance to purchase Princess or Erin at the regular prices, it is unfair!
- dislike counterfiiets, but hope most people are honest and dependable!
- These are kids toys. I can't buy them because grownups are buying them for themselves, are buying too many, and are making them too expensive.
- Cant wait to get the May 30th new ones!!!!
- My main concern is counterfiets
- Beanie Baby's are AWSOME!
- I think some people are so greedy and in to the money thatthey can't enjoy the fun of collecting them !!!
- TY should start making the retired beanie babies again. It would be a bid frenzee for beanie babies again.
- We lost our Seamore, if anyone knows how I could obtain one at a reasonable price, it would be very much appreciated.
- I LOOOVE BEANIES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
- I like to think that I am collecting for my own child - but that's a crock because I don't have one and don't plan to! I haven't gone nuts with this because I don't like what it's doing to kids. They are either constantly disappointed or they have become as mercenary as the dealers. The answer is to increase production - sometimes I wonder if Ty is just sitting back and enjoying the show.
- people have become a bit too obsessed with the these things. they are *stuffed animals*
- love the teenie beanies especially
- I love beanies
- I love Beanie collecting because it's something both I and my two young children can do together! But it's difficult for the kids to get the highly prized bears, and that makes it tough and frustrating for them. They want them, yet only the adults can afford them! Very excited about the collectors' Club...should make it easier for them to get some of the harder to finds without fighting off the adults!
- I love beanie babies! Except for the rarity in my town, they are so hard to find! And when you do find them the prices are rediculous!
- I luv it!
- Get only ones I like. Think some people collect just for reselling, not my idea of a collector.
- I think Ty should come out with Luke the loon (canadian bird). and Robby the Robin. I made poems for both of them. Jackie .R. age-12 (almost 13).
- I only recently began collecting and I love the commaraderie of it. everyone is on the hunt, but they are more than willing to help you bag that next big one.
- Does it hurt beanies to be in plastic bags?
- I think beanies are going to become harder to find so buy them while you can! Especially old tagged beanies!
- i think beanies will turn out to be just like pet rocks but they are so cute i just have to buy them!!
- I honestly wonder if this craze will last for as many years as some think it will.
- I don't like how grownups have taken over beanie collecting they leave none for the kids.
- I think that when promotions at MCD take place, people should only be allowed to purchase one with a happy meal. The children are in the restaurants crying because adults are buying boxes of tbb to resale. It is not fair and seems to be in violation of the spirit of TY.
- Erin and Princess are going to retire
- Beanie babies are so cool! I love them I just started collecting them, so I only have 19, going on all of them. They are so cute. My friend has every one there is! I wish I were like her!
- my son and I LOVE our Beanies-keep em coming!!!
- Some adults could not control themselves--they even became mean to children-just because only of beanie babies!!
- I would like to see a buffalo and a deer as beanies
- I love the suspense when retirees and new Beanies are going to be announced. My 7 grandchildren & myself collect Beanies & Teenie Beanies. I love to see their faces when they are handed a new Beanie. It makes all the trouble & expense worthwhile.
- I love the animals....I call them my "good children". I want to see retailers not be so greedy pricing them. I am tired of seeing new beanies for $15 and up. Princess and Erin are still selling for $100 and more in Pigeon Forge, TN and that includes Ty retailers. This is unfair to the average consumer......way too greedy. If this practice is allowed to continue I may decide to no longer purchase beanie babies.
- I love them all and hope that TY keeps up the good work!!
- I love my beanies!!!!
- I totally hate any secondary markets that try to make the most money off people who are trying to collect beanies for their children. A stated above any retailer caught selling beanies to secondary markets should be black-balled. Furthermore, all stores should have to sign a contract w/TY to only sell the beanies for the minumin, ie: here in Alaska beanies sell for $6.95 in most stores, however there is a store here that takes advantage of the popular beanies and marks them up to $10 to $50. That s
ould not be allowed!!!
- 1) people should make kids like my age be given more access to rarer beanies-its turning into a more adult thing. 2) they should make a Timber the Wolf
- I love beanies, I started my own page on them. Is there a place to list our homepages? If so please tell me, my e-mail is midwests@ix.netcom.com
- Prices are way to high!
- I hope TY will make more beanies of different types
- I hope TY will make more beanies of different types
- This is crazy!
- I would like to see more colored bears.
- I like teenie beanies. McD ran out of all 12 in 5 days.
- To many being made of one kind
- I believe that Ty should market more beanie babies to my area. It is way too hard to find them in the Tulsa Metro area. Me and a friend think they should come out with a red, white and blue tie-died bear with a fire works burst on its heart for the fourth of july named Crackers. I also think that ty should make a white turle dove with an olive branch in its mouth named Tidings, and a black mockingbird named Harmony.
- Beanie prices are too high, but otherwise they rock.
- Everyone from Ty to the Collectors are just out to make a quick buck!
- Its appears to be a fun proffitable hobby, I enjoy them and the search for the " good deal " Who knows, might get attavhed to them and never sell.
- I think Mystic the unicorn will definetly retire because its horn is very pointy and sharp and kind of dangerous for kids to play with!!! Also, I think some adults are WAY OUT OF CONTROL with their Beanie Baby obsession! After all, it's just a bean bag animal!
- I think they should make more of them and not retire so many.
- Crack down on high prices stores are selling them for. Hallmark does not put them all out and sells them for $10. You should have everyone sell them at $4.99. We are being ripped off and MANY of us are not going to go crazy anymore we will quit if problems with the new ones come up again. There are at least 2 dozen plus people I know that are going to quit as a result of no stock and higher prices. Thanks
- I think it's unfair when people jack up the prices for those of us that purchase BB's for out kids!
- I wish the bears were more plentiful, I hope they bring back Lib earty and righty and lefty. Would love some USA Bears. Would like e mail on news mhanssen@micron.net
- I do not like the McDonald's promotion. It creates greed.
- ynrynv People are too gaga over beanies!!!!
- I have thoroughly enjoyed the BB's!! I wish I could find more of them in the town I live in. They are hard to come by around here and when the businesses get them in, they are pretty much gone the next day or so!!
- Are beanie babies the "cabbage patch dolls" of the 1990s? Granted, their reign has gone on much longer, but I wonder if they will really be worth anything in the future. I love them though! Cute and (usually/supposed to be) cheap
- I hate how retailers sell beanies for such high prices because i can't afford them!
- I think some new lay down bears that are in the picture. I think that Chocolate will never retire. And three pre-1997 bears will be retired soon.
- Hard-to-find beanies (Princess & Erin) should be limited to one per customer. These are getting bought up in quantities, making it hard to children to obtain ONE for their collection.
- I would like to know how to contact Ty to file complaints on Ty distributors that are using unethical methods to sell beanies, especially ones that sell to the secondary market.
- I wish beanies like Brittania and Erin would be more affordable for the average person, the secondary market makes this almost impossible!!
- adding 28 new beanies soon is way too many, serius collectors have to spen to much money to pay for 28 cause they always try to get them right away no matter what
- I don't like how you can not find many BB anywhere and when you do you can only buy 6!
- I Love the Teenie Beanies. I've collected two sets for my daughters, which are out of the package tags ripped off and thrown away. I have a few dupes and am waiting to sell them for whatever people are willing to pay. The tbb are just too cute!!
- I don't like the secondary market greed, or that channels like Home Shopping are now able to get large quantities to sell at high prices. Also, I don't like how some people are buying solely for the purpose of reselling, and bring everyone in the family to buy, leaving children in line unable to get just one that they really want!
- I like the fact that TY is creating so many new Beanie Babies, so people who aren't willing to spend hundreds of dollars will still be able to purchase some. I would like to see another bear be created, one that would be affordable unlike some Teddies. I predict that both Princess and Peace will be retired shortly.
- no
- Beanies rule and will definatley stay..adultrs, keep your hands off... these things were created for kids like me!!
- There really cute! I love them.
- Adults should collect something else!
- I remember thinking that Ty should come out with a beanie that had a St. Patrick's Day birthday on it. Not knowing that they were and soon. It would be wonderful, since my 2 year old was born on March 17th. But the problem is that since it is a single issue, it makes it harder to purchase.
- I think I must be in my "second childhood".
- i think tbb's should be sold in stores
- The beanies are made very well and the prices, when you are able to find them in the stores are usually a bargain.
- I think that Ty should develop a type of pricing guide that could be universally used by all beanie baby collectors.
- I don't like how the dealers and other second-hand, black market dealers are trying to take all of the beanies away from the kids. I, myself, am a child/teenager, and I find it horrid to see so many adults trying to buy all of the beanies for re-sale. I think thats just plain awful, and if you do that, you should be ASHAMED of yourself! Beanies are for kids---let's leave it that way!!
- Princess and Erin cost to much. Kids can't afford them.
- I think that beanie babies are the cutest things in the whole wide world.
- I love beanie babies
- I want Princess! =)
- I think that sharks are really cool! Jaws rocks! I like prunes and vegetable juice too! Hey Mole!
- I will never put a dime into the secondary market, they make it no fun.
- Does TY
- I love Beanies!!! I would like to have an "Elvis" beanie. A black bear shaped like Curly with a gold guitar emblem on his chest!!!
- I received six Princess and 4 Peking bears from a friend who was visiting China. He paid about $6 per bear and compared them to the book before the purchase. Now, because of the secondary market and the supposed "fake" scare, people keep "identifying" them as fakes. They have only seen internet photos of the real ones, but will not even accept them as gifts. Really, some of the supposed "fakes" may just be "not quite perfect" specimens. I think that if we can accept mistagged beanies, then one Pek
ng with a crooked eye and everything else right is not necessarily a "fake." I am hurt and offended that I went to the trouble to locate these special bears and now no one wants them. While in the UK two weeks ago, I had the opportunity to purchase a few Britannia bears but did not because I know my friends would not want them they may be fakes. Also, I am really sorry to see that the Chinese people are being blamed for the fakes instead of recognizing that they could have purchased seconds that Ty did n
t want out because of the high market value for them. Who are you or anyone else to say that a misprinted tag is okay on Rainbow and Iggy but not on a Princess? Only Ty can say that and so far I haven't seen anything on their web pages.
- I really have fun collecting the beanies, it is better then going to the bar for a drink, I say that because I stopped drinking and my time goes to my beanies :)
- THIS HOBBY HAS BEEN GREAT FOR ME AND MY 8 YEAR OLD DAUGHTER. SHE GETS SO EXCITED WHEN WE FIND AND GET THE ONE WE WANT.
- Would like to see more bright colors and more tie-dyed beanies.
- I wish Princess and Erin were more available! I figure I will be dead before I ever actually see one other than on that obnoxious home shopping program where they sell 10 beanies for $4000.
- I wish the adults wouldn't buy twenty beanies at a time- kids don't get a chance. I never do that. I only buy 4 at a time.
- I will never stop colleting beanies ever.
- It really makes me MAD when a retailer sells beanies for $5.00 then gets Peace or Princess and ups the price really high! e the price really high. or Princess
- I think there shouldbe two new Beanies added:::Taco the Chihuhua and Sting the Scorpion!
- I don't like the stores that buy from Ty, and then will not sell the Erins and Princesses at the regular price. This is very unfair. I think Ty should mass produce Erin and Princess so everyone can get one at the normal price.
- I don't understand why the new toys have to be held back and the prices of these raised. If they are supposed to sell for five dollars- then they should sell for that! It is freustrating to hunt for a five dollar dealer! We also want the dinosaur type beanies to return- we missed the first round!
- i think the general public should be able to p
- tI didn't appreciate having to buy a toy filled with candy in order to buy rainbow
- I predict that ty will come out with 27 new beanie babies on may 30th 98"
- I think it is fun to collect Beanies. Part of the fun is trying to find the one I want in stores. I have only bought one Beanie on the secondary market and that was Peace. But i only paid $20 for him.
- I am sick and tired of these secondary market stores buying out the tydealers of their stock and then selling even currents for $30.00. I know that one guy who was shut down is supposed to have a new store that is just under a new name.... I wish it could be stopped because I REFUSE to pay more than $9.00 for a current beanie baby.
- Please list site(s) of people willing to sell/buy/trade Beanie Babies
- Beanie babies helps to bring families together for a common cause. My husband helps my daughter and me look for beanies. We all three go out together on the HUNT! My daughter and her 1st cousin in another State share beanie stories and shop for each other. Great for bring families closer and no VIOLENCE!
- I DON'T FEEL AUTHORIZED DEALERS SHOULD BE ABLE TO HOLD ON TO SOME BEANIES AND SELL THEM FOR MORE ONCE THEY RETIRE
- I wish that they had a beabie baby's birthday on November 2???
- The Bears should not be in such limited quantities.
- If it weren't for the internet, I'd have a hard time collecting in this area. Being employed full time, by the time I get off from work, the stores which got shipmnts in the morning are already sold out. Too many retailers save them for their special friends, customers, relatives instead of giving everyone a chance. The only place they are always available are the second market collectible stores, but the prices are really inflated.
- No more April Fools jokes !!!!!!!!!!!
- It is fun as well as profitable. As long as children come first - I don't have a conflict of interest. My nieces, nephew and step-children always get first choice. After that I sell/buy on the secondary market.
- I don't like the fact that more beannies are walking out the back doors of stores than are going on the shelves. It is very frustrating for the kids who are looking for them.
- I think that they should be more available at retailers. The shipments are very sporadic.
- TY should make a deer or fawn for their collection
- I HAVE REALLY HAD A WONDERFUL TIME SEARCHING FOR THE BEST BUYS ON THE BEANIES WE WANT.
- I find some dealers are starting to sell Princes, and Erin. Howeve they do it when people who whork can't take advantage of it. Also when some origazation as for help with a donations, retailer won't even turn loos of one BB, to help with a fundraiser.
- I love how collecting beanies allows us to communicate with strangers and be able to talk for hours (recently while waiting in line for teenie beanies!)
- Beanies are GREAT!! Keep it Popular!!!
- I dislike the greediness and the frenzy. It does not add to the excitement of collecting for me. My girls get frustrated and lose interest when they see high priced beanies or can never find them. As with all other items, the craze probably will level off at some point, although may never die out altogether.
- It has helped me to get involved with somthing my grandson loves. He lives 2000 miles away. I buy him beanies and mail them to him. He thinks I am one cool Grandma!
- DOn't take time to write to TY about retailers charging too much.. they do absolutely nothing about it, and it's a waste of time, paper, ink, and a stamp!
- Wish more beanies were released more often
- I LOVE BEANIE BABIES
- I greatly dislike how stores sell nonretired beanies for more then around $6.00
- Love beanies--they bring a smile to most everyone's face at one time or another--even men. My 4 year old granddaugher knows "TY" tage are not to be removed and to wash her hands before playing with hers, and takes great pride in knowing all their names. Tells her friends they must be careful with TY toys and tags. Fleece is a special favorite because they seem such an appropriate gift to celebrate a new baby.
- people are getting way too mean!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
- The market for Beanies will be around for a long long time - just because they are soooo cute and generally affordable
- I LOVE BEANIE BABYS
- Please ask Ty to take control of greedy retailers. I know of one retailer in a Hallmark store that forbids his employees to open the boxes from Ty. Then most of the time he takes them out of the store and runs ads in the newspaper to resale at expensive prices. That is not fair to the people that the lovable creatures were created for. SHAME ON SUE`S HALLMARK IN DEFIANCE, OHIO!!!!!!!!

- I think they will retire Erin soon.
- well if I could find erin I would be happy
- I love beanie babies
- I love collecting Beanie Babies !!! My very first purchase was December 31, 1997. It was the '97 Holiday set, plus Weenie. That very night TY retired two of those that I had purchased,Snowball and 97 Teddy. The next day I found someone by the side of the road with a big sign,"Beanie Babies" He was selling those two newly retired Beanies for more than I paid for all 6 of my first Beanies. That got me hooked in a really big way. I planned to sell them for more than I paid for them. I have not,
owever, sold the first one !!! I just can't bring myself to part with any one of them. I now have over 500 Beanie Babies and 70 of the '98 TBBS. Will I ever get over this addiction? Will there ever be a "Beanie Babies Treatment Center" where one can check his/herself in to help get over the addiction? I hope not. I'm having too much fun.

- I heard that there aren't going to be any more tye-dyed beanies because the faabric is too expensive.
- I would love to see a Yorkie Beanie Baby! I love all the beanies. I started out just buying a couple for my daughter when she graduated from kindergarten last year. Now we are expecting another baby so I had to duplicate my daughters entire collection so the new baby will have a set, too. That's when my husband and I decided we better duplicate it AGAIN so that WE would have a set for ourselves. (If we ever want to trade or sell one of ours, atleast we won't have to sell one of the kid's beanie
!) Needless to say, our family is VERY addicted to beanie babies...but atleast it is something harmless and fun and the whole family can enjoy them together!
- they've just scratched the surface
- We hope that you will make a BB mole and name it Laurel. I love all of the insects the best and I hope that Ty will make a whole line of beatles and call me to scedual an appointment to be the first to buy. P.S. I hope that you people that look at this know my other note about eating the beanie spider.
- More information from the Ty Co. its self on the internet.
- I think they are so cute and my 4 year old daughter can't get enough of them. I think beanie babies will be around for quite a while.
- I LOVE BEANIE BABIES I LOVE BEANIES BABIES I LOVE BEANIE BABIES I LOVE BEANIE BABIES I LOVE BEANIES BABIES I LOVE BAENIE BABIES I LOVE BEANIE BABIES I LOVE BEANIE BABIES I LOVE BEANIE BABIES I LOVE BEANIE BABIES I LOVE BEANIES BABIES I LOVE BEANIE BABIES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! - I don't think it's fair that some retialers sell the "harder to get" beanie babies for a lot more money!! These are children's toys!! The secondary market people are the ones that hoard the beanies and that's what makes them outrageously expensive for everybody else that just wants to buy one or two!!
- I LOVE BEANIE BABIES I LOVE BEANIES BABIES I LOVE BA
- beanies make people happy. I enjoy buying extras and letting my friends who work buy them from me.I never charge them any more than what I pay for them unless they retire. I have never met anyone who does not see at least one beanie that will bring a smile to his or her face. It is an inexpensive way to spread happiness. My pet peeve is for retailers who I know buy directly from Ty hold people up when they get new beanies or hoard them after retirement and jack the prices up. I do my best to give my bu
iness only to reputable dealers.
- I think that there will be a new beanie like Erin or Princess. It will probably be red. If you find a good deal on a beanie, BUY IT!
- I think that they need to make "Corky the Welsh Corgi" for a new beanie dog
- It is sad when you can not afford the beanies desired for a child. For example, my daughters exact birthday is Maple's (7-1-96) We went all the way to Canada to get one and the prices went from $189.99-$400.00! For just the regular Maple bear . I was so depressed that I went bought a Teenie Beanie happy meal and went home, without buying one darn thing. We'll just have to settle with Scoop and hope to hit the lottery.
- more bears, that are available . I can not find a princess or erin that I can afford to buy for my children.
- I really like beanie babys and i hope they never stop making them. The next one I want to get is.
- I think the Beanie fad won't go on much longer, such as for 5 more years.
-
- greed has taken over and the children have become secondary in the search for beanies.
- Is it impossible to get Princess or Erin without paying big bucks. These are the only 2 beanies that my kids need.
- I predict that they (ty) will come out with a third set of teanie beanie babies.
- I love them!
- I love them!
- baenies are cool Ilove princess and legs is born on my b-day
- BEANIE BABYS ARE SO COOL, BUT PEOPLE SELL THEM FOR SO MUCH. ITS REALY NOT FAIR TO COLLECTORS.
- I dont' like the fact that I can't get a bear from a retailer.
- Anything which can be counterfeited MUST be GOOD!!!!
- Ty has to be sitting back with a sigh of victory as he contemplates the huge success of his tiny, globally popular creations. Although he may not be pleased that he has no "piece" of the secondary market action, I cannot think of any other company, or producer who would not be pleased as puch to have such a marketing phonomena happen in their market. Me thinks he doth protest too much.
- I dislike the fact that adults try to rip people off making some beanies impossible for kids to get and I also hate how some beanies like Erin are hard to get
- blah blah blah Biteme
- I think that it is unfair that stores are selling them for prices that are above what Ty set. In fact I recently was in lelenau and a lady was selling them for 7.50. I then went down the road and purchased them for 5.50.
- I would like a link with pictures of beanies that you can make into wallpaper for your screen!
- if ty would make a 2nd coral that i can afford
- I think it's a disgrace that people are so greedy that they start manufacturing false or imitation beanies. Beanies are adorable, I can't wait for the number in my collectio to increase, and I hope that the shipments of imitation beanies are caught.
- lord help me I just can't get enough of those beanie babies
- lot of questions I had two answers to. Lord help me I can't get enough of those little banies!!!
- I have only been collecting beanies for 5 days and I am hooked - I have the fever. I hope I have a grandchild to pass these on to someday. I am having a great time and I love the beanies.
- like bb cause they are cute wish I could find more info on collecting what to look for when purchasing from a secondary market
- It's crazy!!
- more tye-dye!!
- thank-you for doing this!
- I still get upset when we go to some authorized dealers and they still insist on putting the bears like Princess and Erin at prices over $100.00 . So that little ones like my son who is collecting can't buy one. At that price I can't even afford to buy him one.
- They should put new birthdays no duplicates.
- i want a checklist of ALL the beanies
- I am annoyed that the stores are making it so hard to purchase bears. There are two shops in Redding that put the bears in bubble gum machines and the people are spending $25 , $50 or even more just to win a Princess bear or Peace bear etc. The stores are also not putting out the beanie babies when they get them. They stock pile their inventory and them they annouce they have a large shipment of beanie babies and create lines that start 3:30 A. M. in the morning. The store doesn't even open up u
til 9 A.M.. More than one store is doing this in Redding, California. I had to stand in line for 2 1/2 hours one day and I wasn't able to get what I wanted. I feel the stores should put out the beanie babies as they get them and let the customers shop as a first come first serve instead of creating long lines and hours of standing.
- I am pleased that Ty is removing many first hand dealers of Beanies. I know that too many retailers are not being totally honest. They often only put out a few, and back-door the rest. It's really hard to stay honest when you know you could get a lot more $$ selling Beanies off premis. One other thing that bothers me about Ty policies/standards required to become a dealer, I don't think is fair. I own a small c-store that has sales over $1million, and we were turned down.......yet some of the sh
ps I have found Beanies in (from dirty ol' gas stations to a back yard garage opened 2 half days a week). Beside the negatives I'd like to say .......viva la Beanies!! phinor.@iserv.net
- I am tired of the secondary market being so greedy. One time me & my mother went into the mall & they were selling princess at $200 & a woman reported them to ty.I am glad so did.
- I am in the middle of being an investor of beanie babies. I now consider each beanie as a piece of stock. I have to revisit my thinking and purchasing of these now because I get mixed feelings of children not being able to play with the beanies. One has to recognize that it's a collection and you don't play with them. When I see the beanies I want to play and handle them. I'm still trying to understand the "value" of these beanies - how one can become so valueable. It's definitely like the s
ock market - you never know. The best part about this is that if the stocks crash - you have gorgeous treasures to give as gifts to family and friends - and even to raffle/auction as a fund raiser. In the stock market - you lost your bucks!
- I wish Ty would manufacture more of the Princess and Erin Bears so that everyone would be able to get one, including children for whom these toys were originally made.
- i just hope the retireds prices keep going up!!!!!
- I have a boy 11 and a girl 8 and this is the only thing in life the agree on. It has been a joy to watch them do something together!!!
- so cool beanies are hard to find
- I am amazed at the amount of Greed out there. I purchase Beanies one at a time and not to hoarde! My 4 year old grandaughter and 13 year old niece appreciate them as gifts. They play with them of all things! Yet the recent McDonalds promotion sold out in 5 days in OKC and I was only able to get one Teanie Beanie!
- I find it very disturbing that primary retailers acutally charge exorbitant amounts for beanie babies. Additionally, the stores that won't sell you a new beanie baby without purchasing an older beanie. I truly believe that regulations should be put on the primary retailers. Additionally, when specialty beanies are released Ty should have a lottery. I can't tell you how many people who work at stores or "know someone" have been able to get the specialty beanies. Thanks for a place to voice an opion
on.
- stop making mistags and deformities, they get way too out of hand, and the proper ones get no credit
- I dislike that some stores sell available baenie's for a high price! I also dislike that some people buy them just to make money.
- I don't feel there should be a limit on how many you can buy- as many stores have done. If you want 10 of one kind, you should have that option. I have had a lot of fun collecting these cute animals:)
- I've grown tired of the stores personnel's attitudes - in our town the fun is completely out of it and I hope to never see another beanie again after I finally get my 2 kids their Erin and Princess as I promised them I would. I think secondary market sellers are great it keeps the beanies selling - if it was not for secondary market TY wouldn't sell near as many beanies - it keeps the drive going for them!I've sold secondary market and feel there is nothing wrong with it - if people want to pay a hig
er price so be it that is their discretion - but around here people like me are considered "bad" for trying to make a profit on it - sorry it helps pay the bills - but like I said - I'm done with it - too many pushy, rude, gossipy, etc. etc. people into it around here - it has gotten pathetic ------ and I know lots of people who feel this way - wish every store would put Erin's and Princess' out so everyone has a chance - what a joke it has turned out to be.
- TBB Bears only! Including Brittania. Wouldn't that be so cute? Maybe in time for Xmas?
- I think that BB will go out of style by the year 2000
- i hope that ty keeps making more teddy bears!
- I really dislike how retailers charge more for rarer BB
- TY should sell to general public so it will be easier for us who just want them to have to get.unlike people who buy them just to resell and see how much they can get out of the deal.
- TY should sell to general public so it will be easier for us who just want them to have to get.unlike people who buy them just to resell and see how much they can get out of the deal.
- Beanies are fun to collect - too bad collectors are rude & kids can't afford to buy them
- I have a feeling that after the hype falls off, beanie babies are not going to be worth anything. It is just a rage right now.
- I hate how some dealers have jacked the prices up so high!
- I hope they come out with anew dragon
- beanie babies are cool!
- bring out more of each
- I love when you ask ''What's your favorite BB? But when doing give less variety.I LOVE BEANIE BABIES !!!!!
- please let ty know how many dealers are not putting the stock on there shelves and selling to dealers and or selling to ONLY dealers or on the internet that is not fair to our kids!!!thank you
- I hate the way retailers won't put out the princess bear. They sell them out the back door.
- They should not make the bears so rare that they are almost impossible to get for retail.
- The original idea of "PRINCESS" as a fundraiser was a noble idea. However, when retailers cannot get sufficient supply and secondary marketeers iflate the price to line ttheir pockets, who really gets the benefit? People are forgetting that these are for children. I have asked retailers for donation of a Princess or Erin for my daughters' schooll to auction but not go. Perhaps Ty could have a place where people could write to solicit a Beanie at Fair Market retail whic could be donated directl
to the institution recieving the benefir. I'm very willing to pay msrp for a donation so that not only does my special charity benefit by so does Princess Diana's. Your comments? susan morris---- smorris@digital. net Thank you ,
- I really enjoy collecting Beanies, however it amazes me to find that some people spend all their time stalking Hallmark and other stores. They need to get a life and realize Beanies are only toys; these people should focus on other, much more important things.
- I think Chip or Chocolate or both will be retired soon.
- my name is rick feulner and i love collicting beanie babies. some of the secondary markest should be dropped because they are not doing it for the kids anymore they are doing it to make money. which is ok but i mean 700$ for teddy teal??? that is outrageous.2,000$ for thr royal blue peanut? their is mothing wrong with making money but this is stupid. parents are buying them for themselves not for the kids. that is all i have to say about that
- Please don't retire Princess! I am still looking for one that is at a reasonable price. Too many people are greedy over beanie babies and they just sell them to make money anyway. They are supposed to be an enjoyment for everyone to play with. It is getting crazy. We should be wanting to spread the word of Jesus instead of spreading and getting crazy over beanie babies. Think about it, being greedy over beanie babies and money or letting kids (Maybe a few parents) enjoy and play with them. Please!!!!!!
Sorry for insulting some people. (By the way, I saw a lady at McDonalds that ordered about 5 happy meals and it made me sick)
- I am going to recieve Humphrey in a matter of days and I think hissy should retire nexr because he's another really unique snake beanie.
- I just cannot believe that the "craze" for these things has not died down. But I guess as long as Ty keeps retiring and issuing new ones, how can it?
- It is a lot of fun searching, buying, selling and trading.
- I think that Beanies should be one set price in the primary market . The secondary market is a different story. I think retailers who sell in the primary market at high prices (over $6.50 each) should be reported to Ty and they should have to conform to Ty's high standards. I think that bears like Princess and Erin shlpuld be more accesible to the common people...Thank you
- I think a blue whale named Song would be nice. Also, I must tell everyone what Ty Warner wanted Beanies to be. He wanted them to be for kids and their allowences. Look what we've done! I've seen people knock eachother over to get a Doby!
- Sell me more!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
- I hope to see stores going on a strict price requirement! They are charging too much and they should all sell for up to $7.00
- My family and I have made this a great family project. We go on beanie hunts together. I have 3 children 7,9,11 and it gives them a great reason to spend time with us. Not to mention they are to cute for words but so are attic treasures.
- Ty should really investigate some of the stores they are selling to. Many are charging as high as 200.00 for the princess.
- Your website is COOL!
- I like the bears, I just don't understand why the USA didn't get an exclusive bear too.
- i AM very proud of your website
- I would like to see more announced beanie givaways and contests please.
- I would like to see a beanie babie goat and a graduation teddy bear.
- This is gay. LET THE KIDS HAVE SOME FUN WITH THEIR TOYS!
- I think that the beanie baby market should be watched a lot more than what it is today. People are selling them for to much. I think that you sould make a duck that really looks like a duck. I also think you sould make a orange and white striped cat and name it Garfield. I like something challenging in life and I think that, that would be a very big challenge for me in life.
- I just love all of them! They are so cute!
- no
- Ty has to have SOME control over the price of Beanies such as Princess and Erin!
- Make more mythical creatures Like a gargoyle, hydra, cerebus
- I LOVE BB!I LOVE BB!I LOVE BB!I LOVE BB!
- I think Beanie babies are really cool, but i think that the phenomenon is soon to die off.
- I love beanies!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
- My boyfriend's boss gave me my first beanie babies last week and since then I have purchased approximately one a day and the club kit. I think that it is a neat trend that I hope doesn't fade.
- Should be for kids
- I LOVE BEANIES!
- I would love to see more dinos!
- I LOVE BEANIES!
- I think when Ty announces new beanies, there shoud be an abundant quantity shipped to retailers. I love to see the value of beanies increase, but I think the new releases should be available to all collectors at Ty's suggested retail price. My only complaint is having to wait so long for new releases and then either the prices are increased or they are not for sale at all. Instead they are raffled or auctioned. If this toy was designed for children, how can they buy them with their allowance when t
ey are not even for sale.
- I don't like the way retailers treat people who collect beanie babies. They act as if they are doing you a tremendous favor by actually selling them, when the truth is that if they didn't make so much money and lure so many new customers into their stores with them that they wouldn't do it to begin with. Nobody makes them carry beanie babies!!!
- I think that it will go on 'til the craze ends; which will be a long time from now! I don't like how there isn't enough Beanies on the market, but I understand about supply and demand. People sending in ideas for new Beanies shouldn't be excepted. Ty Warn
- JUST GOOD CLEAN FUN, WOULD SPEND $ MORE FOOLISHLY
- People shouldn't sell Beanies for more than $10.00 because they are just pieces of cloth with beans. But since they are hard to find. But I still LOVE them.
- they're an adorable idea, but the prices can be ridiculous! I have passed up many a Beanie that I wanted due to outrageous prices!!
- i think you should give places that sell beanies a certain price to sell them at so they dont over charge you (rip you off) its happened to me 2 times i mean theyre already making alot of money on them so why charge more its unfair. great website love the survey you should do more possibly a beanie give away to those who do the survey.
- Beanie babies are great! They get cuiter each time new ones come out!
- Ty retired too many 5/1 ! Beanie market crash is really concerning me!
- Retailers should restrict those who grab as many BBs as they can just to trade later. Some of us collect them because they're cute and it's fun.
- i think retired should mean retired - lately (after the May 1 retirement) all of a sudden they flooded the market.
- The lack of availability is frustrating. If Ty is playing distribution games with us the consumers it will soon backfire!
- I think it's sad that children can't purchase most beanies at a decent price because of all the greedy people out there!!!!!!
- the retailies sell erin and princess the for hundred twenty five dollars
- It is great that they are so inexpensive to begin with... easy to collect, but fun to have retired ones - i'm all for the american way "supply & demand & cost"
- I would like to know if my Britannia is worthm
- BB ARE COOL !!!!!! :o) :o)
- BB are making me crazy
- It's sad that adults are having such a hard time with grasping the concept of enjoying toys
- add more bears different colors then white @brown
- THE MARKET SEEMS TO BE DECLINING, AS PRICES ARE WAY DOWN.
- I LIKE THE FACT THAT IT IS INEXPENSIVE HOBBIE THAT I ENJOY ALOT.
- I think it's unfair when children have to fight through crowds to but them or have to pay outrageous prices for them.
- newbie - just started collecting yesterday - I love them I am hooked already - have bought 9 in 2 days!
- ive been collecting beanie babies for my niece and nephew for a short while. while i was over in london studing less than a month ago i figured i would go pick them up the britannia and princess di bears. out of all the places i went in europe, london was the only one that sold beanie babies. i figured they would be easy to find. boy was i wrong. the craze is just as big over there. i couldnt believe it. i went to every store that carried them and no one had them. what i cant understand is why is a toy
thats made for the kids only produced in a small quantity. the people that did get one of these bears is now selling them for 3 to 4 hundreds of dollars. im just as much caught up in this craze but i think we are forgetting who these were meant for. the kids and they are the losers in this market
- why not produce more princess and erin BBs. This would curb the high price secondary market gouging.
- I think that the beanie baby craze has died down somewhat. I hope it continues, though, and that Ty manufactures more of the "hard to finds"
- i'm mad at myself for taking tags off of the first generation beanies i got before they were such a big deal! :-( also i think the people just in it for the money and jack up prices ruin it for those of us who just think they're cute, especially kids
- THERE NEEDS TO BE A GOAT AND THE BIRTHDAY 7/24- 8/16- 9/8
- Beanies rock & so do norns
- I think that when they retire a beanie they shouldn't be such butts when you try to get them, they put REDICULOUS prices on them, that is why i haven't been able to get my favorite beanie yet :-(
- Greedy, greedy, greedy people out there!
- they are very difficult to find in rural areas, Ty should allow more retailers so more people can enjoy them.
- Where in Europe can I find Britiannia?
- it is too hard to get the bears
- Beanies are adorable, I'm the first to admit that, but I try to keep in mind that they are just pieces of cloth with beans inside, and they are meant as CHILDREN'S PLAYTHINGS, nowadays, it's almost impossible to get one for a child, unless their parents are buying them as an investment for the child's college educations, how do you think I'm going to college?
- unethical dealeers who sell to secondary
- I THAT THIS CRAZE WILL LAST FOR A COUPLE MORE YEARS AND THEN DIE DOWN.
- not enough distribution
- I think all retailers should abide by ty's rules and not sell beanies a lot more than what they are worth. I have a beanie book and it says Brittania is worth 50-75 dollars and the places are selling for hundreds of dollars! That's ridiculous!!! Ane I also think they should put all styles out on the shelves and not hold them back just because of what they are such as the bears. Thanks!
- i hate the price!
- i think they should take other peoples ideals on new beanie babies
- I HATE retailers who charge too much or charge more for the newly retireds.I wish TY would get more Princess out to the general public!!!!
- BB's should be for fun!!!!!!!
- I think there should be more exotic animlas made. We should be able to give our ideas to TY.
- i wish i could get princess for 20$
- Don't retire them so fast
- Beanie's are here to stay!!!!!!
- MAKE MORE DOGS!!!!!!!!!!!!!
- i think that some of the retailers are selling the beanie to high price and its hard for some people to get them
- Trap is sooo cute!
- I wish that more orimary dealers would limit to 2 new Beanies per purchase, and not jack up new realeases that then fall, Peace for example. Once supply and demand begin to come into sinc.
- I think that the retired bears will go up a lot in value.
- BEANIE BABIES WERE MADE FOR KIDS BUT WHEN THEY STARTED TO RETIRE SOME THE PARENTS GOT GREEDY AND NOW THE KIDS CAN'T EVEN PLAY WITH THEM
- Well, I was wondering if misprints are bad or if they are good. I have a Rainbow with an Iggy HT and TT. I think it is pretty cool to have something oike that but I don't know. . . I also hate those Beanie look-alikes! They confuse me too much. . . they copy too distinctly too. I saw some that looked like Smoochie, Kiwi, Quackers (w/o wings!), and all those bears sure confuse me! I would like to say "God bless those who collect Beanies for fun and not JUST the money. . . I love Beanies and think they a
e adorable but never want to sell them. Other people get too greedy when it comes to secondary marketing!
-
- Just think they are adorable!!!!!!!
- What is Ty's number?
- none
- i think that princess, erin and maybe peace will be the next retires
- I hate the fact that children suffer from the greed of adults.
- My goldfish died and i am sad. My dad said it went to kitty heaven. And I said, why not fishy heaven? So he said, because it was a catfish.
- I Love Beanie Beabies!!!But, there are 3 thing I do not like one is I think they sell Princess for to high of a price !!!And when people say they buy or tade beanies they never really mean it!You try and they almost everytime say NO!I think the Hallmark stores are selling beanies for to high of a price!!!!!
- they are cool!!!
- The MacDonalds TBB was a disaster. It was nest to impossible to get them.
- It is an adventure searching for Beanies!
- I think that colecting beany babies is cool and fun.Thank you TY.
- Add Brownie to the favorites list
- I think that colecting beany babies is cool and fun.Thank you TY.
- People in the U.S. should be able to obtain beanies made for other countries(i.e. Maple &Britianna)after that country's demand is satisfied.
- Would like to see an Elvis, Lt Blue Bear, with a gold guitar embrodered on chest or TCB on chest
- Love those beanies
- This is a fun hobby that not only I can participate in, but my children as well. They are the ones that keep up with which ones we have, mark them off the list, are excited about new releases, the teenie beanies, retireds etc. My children are 7 and 9 and coin collecting and stamp collecting, which was popular when I was a child, are not near as exciting as collecting these cute little critters. It's great fun for the whole family, and even dad occasionally gets into it when he sees how much prices a
d investments can swell by a retired beanie. Great fun!
- to high in price !
- I think Ty is making all of the collectible dealers rich. If Ty would flood the market with beanies then the collectible dealers would not be able to charge hugh amounts of money for some beanies.
- These are for children...priced for children...secondary market way too high.....would like for my daughter to be able to go to stores and "pick out what she wants" instead of me having to buy them for her and keeping them hidden until she wants a certain one
- They are to expensive
- Ty should check their retailers for "store front" qualifications. I only exist on the secondary market because TY will not pick up new retailers. I know many direct accounts with TY who sell at flea markets for $7-10 per current beanie. I think that is as criminal as a secondary dealer charging outrageous amounts for current beanies.
- I hate how TY acts all innocent like they don't like hte secondary market, but yet the send one third as much teddy bears as others, 12 instead of 36 beanies per month per store. That just encourages dealers to seel them at up to hundreds of dollars for something they got for 2.50. its a shame.
- I think that stores should sell beanies like Erin, Princess, and retireds fr the same price they would sell currents for.
- I am a distant relitive of princess die and am beside myself because the princess bear is way out of my price range if anyone that sees this would like to trade I would really like one it can be either generation it does not matter I just would love to have the bear as I have all the magazines on princess die and would love to pass this all down to my children
- more notice of upcoming new beanies
- Tbear500@YAHOO.COM
-
I WISH I COULD FIND SOME RETIREDS LIKE FLUTTER AND MANNY FOR REASONABLE PRICES! THE PRICES ARE ALWAYS REDICULOUS!!!!
- people really need to remember that Beanie Babies are for kids!
- While I still really enjoy collecting, I think the peak of the craze has just gone by. While beanies will be hot for some time to come, I see people tiring of it somewhat.
- I feel that all new BB should be available to children on a first come first serve basis. Retailers are holding back on "desirables" all the time, or selling to friends and families.
- ty should keep up with demand, this is crazy!
- I'm quite amazed at how hard it is to get Erin. I hope she'll become more available soon! I can't wait to see the new Beanies!
- All I can say is that I'll keep buying them as long as my sister wants them. She's worth it.
- I'M DISAPPOINTED WHEN NEW ISSUES SHOW UP AT THE SECONDARY MARKETS BEFORE THE AUTHORIZED DEALERS. FOR THE TRULY HONEST PRIMARY RETAILERS THIS HAS TO BE EQUALLY AS FRUSTRATING!!
- Sooner or later the bottom is going to fall right out of this fad
- I think they are cute and fun, and my son enjoys them very much, BUT I think it has gotten way out of hand and almost impossible for a child to buy them for them selves. Originally it was nice to pay 4.99 - 5.99. A child could save his/her allowance or earn them, but now it is very difficult. The secondary market has gone crazy with this. Try to explain to a small child why you can't buy them...or afford them. For working Moms( and Dad's) you never have a chance if you can't stand in line at four am. I
also don't likt the fact that Ty Warner will not answer calls, E-mail, or letters, espcially about retail stores selling them for 10.99 - 14.99 in Plano, Texas. there should be a law.
- I hope the interest continues.....I love them and onl!! They are so cute and I want to leave them to my grandchildren. Thank you, Ty! started collecting three weeks ago. I'm hooked!!!
- The new teenie beanies were so much for to collect! i've never had so much fun talking to people and making new "collector friends"! It's been interesting to see all the different types of people who collect!
- all i have to say i that this is a childrens investment and hobby for them to do and they cant even do it cause the prices are so out of the sky! not any kid over 10 can afford a 1 thousand beaie! i think it is not fair! each kid gets 5 dollars a week for allowance! witch in just enouft to purchase a beanie. how can they get a beanie for 1 thousand dollars? i think it is not fair that it is a kids fun hobby and the adults are taking it away from them as we speak! just my to sence!
- More teddy bears, more colors, please..
- I wish they would make many more Princess and Erins! That would make the price go way down and burn all the greedy people in the world
- stretch the ostrich
- I think all beanies not retired should sell for the 5.99, every one wants to make a huge profit off the princess and erin bears, and children can't afford them and I don't think it is fair, especially when they are purchased from Ty. I refuse to pay a high price for them, and I personally don't think Ty should allow it, some stores are selling princess for 150.00 and erin same thing. That should be stopped by Ty.!!!
- Dislike the incredible difficulty in finding any BB's for sale. Think it's unfair to the children that adults buy up all the BB's and there are none left for them. BB's such as Princess, Erin which are newly issued should be sold at the same price as the other new BB's and should be shipped along with other new BB's. It just seems that this is a well orchestrated marketing plan to drive up the prices on the special bears. But the poor little kids can never buy these BB's because I don't know a lot
f parents who are going to spend $200-$300 on a little bean bag bear for their child. I think this has really gotten out of hand and Ty should more strictly control the how these special BB's are sold. Thank-you for your time.
- would like to see a new camel
- poot
- my childern and I love to collect beanies !!!!!!!
- I wish people wouldn't hoard Beanie Babies. Beanies were intended for children not adults. Yes they are cute and fun, but kids deserve to have them! Merchants and individuals who sell them for more than $5.00 take them away from the children.
- HOW HARD IT IS TO GET THEM
- CHEAPER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
- i think they are cute, remind me of the pound cats and dogs. i cant stand people who up the prices of these animals. i feel these should be for the kids first.thank you carol pugh
- Retailers that are untruthful about when they will receive a shipment. Collectors that are employed do not have a chance to get the most popular ones unless then can know in advance when the retailer will be putting the new ones out.
- my dad like deer and there is no deer (fawn or buck) beanie. any news on this?
- Feel that those authorized dealers who charge well over the suggested $5.00 retail price should be warned/dropped from Ty's list of dealers.
- I dislike it when people by 50 identical beanie babies and sell them for at least three times their issue price!!!
- I don't think it's fair for retailers to increase the value or to keep certain beanies (ie. princess and Erin) and not sell them for the $5 -$10 they were meant to be sold at.
- they are neat!!!!!
- I just started collecting beanies for my 2 year old son, he loves them! And they are so cute!
- all prices should be lower !!!!
- I DON,T THINK THEY SHOULD BE VERY EXPINCIVE LIKE $5,000
- Make more Beenie Babies
- BEANIES ARE AWESOME!
- Crazy, but hope it continues!
- mcdonalds running out after 3 days again
- They should have them out on the shelf longer before they retire them!
- The secondary market should more controlled and watched. A common beanie should be sold for 5$, not 10 or 15!!
- I would like ty to make a starfish and name it Stela. Also, you should make a golden retriever, and a border collie named Fly.
- I think Princess,Valentino, and Erin will retire next : Because, Diana has been dead for a while now and Valentino and Erin are out of season (TY needs to make a ferret)
- I think they need to have retierments more often.
- I like the pigs the best of all.
- I don't like the how people are selling Ty stuffed animals for so much money . I saw a Magic for $100,000.
- snort,valentino,princess diana
- I like prunes! I once ate a BB spider cause it fell in my prune box. I think beanie babies are really, really, really stupid. They should drop all of the other BBs and make a whole line of spiders. I am 106 yrs and I am on medication.
- how do we turn unethical ty dealers?
- may 30 12:00 ty.com
- I wish there was a set price for beanie babies. I think it is absolutely ubsurd for some retailers to sell them for outrageous prices.
- People are pretty greedy, I guess. If I wanted a Seamore, I'd have to pay 200+ dollars for it! Yeah, it does help my Beanies'prices, but it doesn't help other kids like me who don't have $200 to throw away.
- If you want any teenies good luck!! The entire town where I live is completly out!!!
- I Love Beanies!
- I'm getting way past my teen years; however, I can't remember being this excited about anything as a teenager. I manage an Emergency Room, my discussions used to be about trauma, injuries, serious illness -- not it's about "have you seen where I can get a Zip? And everyone knows what I'm talking about!! Go figure. Thanks for the opportunity -- gotta get news on what TBB is available at the local McDonalds now.
- collecting beanie's is alot of fun for both my husband and I. My husband loves the different kinds of bears. We also started collecting the puffkins, I feel this will be the next trend. I enjoyed this web page very much!!!!! I know I will continue to follow every update.
- I am a prune lover I once dropped a spinner in my prune box and I ate it. Aren't I smart!
- i think within the next two months they will retire at least 15 BB's and release 32 new BB's like Swat the Fly, Duke the donkey, Fluffy the Porcupine, and Wings the angel fish (some like that). THANX!!!!!
- I like the fact that you can pick up cute collectibles for cheap however I don't like that the bears and popular ones do not make it to the shelves for purchase. I hate the secondary market. period! They are way too greddy and they take the fun out of the searches for others!
- I think that they should make a pastel blue bunny named flippity and If someone gives an idea for a beanie baby an ty uses it that person should get at least 30 beanie babies
- I don't like the fact that beanie babies' fur can become seperated after touched some.
- I think Ty should have a special group of animals.
- I want ty to make a new ray called Manty
- I LOVE BEANIES BUT I DON'T THINK YOU WILL GET THIS, SORRY
- I think that beanie babies are really cute.
- want to see more colored bears at affordable prices. the secondary market has created a monopoly beyond financial comprehension for most of us.
- i can't get a list of retailers.
- wish stores would stop plkaying favorites and not just hold things for some people.
- I love beanies so much.I think there good for the american people. But everyone is acquiring so many of them that eveyone will have the beanies your selling and nobody will pay an outragous price for them.I predict that beanies will be around for another 3 years and then die out like most things do.The next retirement should be Erin the green bear since I have three of her.Which I purchasede at a local store for $5 it just proves you don't have to spend a fortune for a beanie baby.
-
- high prices
- I think you should make another monkey beanie baby. I love beanie baby's!!!!! I want to collect them all!!!
- I love collecting Beanie Babies!
- i just want more new ones faster!
- I really dislike stores who sell the current bears, like Valentino & Curley, for lots more than they pay for them
- Secondary Market is GREEEEEEEEEDY!!!!
- they will be as collectable in the future as Barbies are today...
- I don't think that stores should sell current beanies like Peace or Curly for more than regular price.
- I think that kids should be able to help in giving ideas for beanies
- They are cool, but some cost way to much for my account
-
- This last batch of new ones was not real cute. I hope the next are cuter. And, dealers are scum and made it almost impossibe for me to get get Peace, Princess, and Erin. But I got them for $6:00 still after months and months of trying. It was almost worth it. Thanks .
- I think stores should be fair and quit back door selling to their selected customers. Give everybody a fair chance.
- MORE SEA LIFE : STARFISH, SEAHORSE ETC. BEANIES ARE GREAT!
- I like prunes. I ate a spider BB cause I dropped it in the prune box.
- I HATE THE SECONDARY MARKET!
- I think they should retire all BB and then come out with a line of Ty spider BB. Also I think BB are really really really stupid (except the spiders cause I ate one once). I only have them cause my mother-in-law buys them for me on the anniversary of Norton's death (my spider) I am 106 years old and mental
- I do not like it when a theme beanie is issued, the retailers do not put it out for sale they hold lotteries. And make it hard for someone who buys the beanies to get one. All I want is one of each that have come out since I stated collecting. I refuse to pay more than retail price. also who set the retail price?
- I think they should make a mole beanie named Laurel
- Beanies are like chocolate chip cookies..you can't have just ONE!!!!
- I think that this beanie phenomenon should end
- I dont like the secondary markets because some kids like me don't get alounce and cant afford retireds and secondary prices. I predict nanook , iggy, strut, blizzard, stripes, and freckles will go retired and i hope that erin and princess dont go because it will be unfare to the kids and we can not affored $250 or $300 there should be more chances for us to get them.
- regarding #16...I do think the secondary market helps the value of beanies...but some dealers charge way too much and I believe these are the people who are way too greedy.
- I LOVE BEANIES
- the hallmark store in destin, fl has a great thing going on. best regards to jan's hallmark!
- I would just like to say I really hate the people who "do" beanies just for the secondary market, then jam up web sites with there gazillion messages per hour. It really burns me up!
- I WOULD LIKE TO FIND MORE PEOPLE LIKE ME, WHO WOULD JUST LIKE TO TRADE AN DOUBLE FOR ONE THEY ARE "TRYING" TO FIND!
- I think more people that have Beanie Babies should be selling them at a cheap price. Also they should be trading them and they always say NO everytime i try to trade! collecting Beanie Babies!
- I wish you could still buy retireds like Manny at stores because I don't have any retired doubles to trade.
- I don't like the idea of BB currents being sold at retired prices, i.e. Princess & Erin. I feel all currents should be available to everyone, especially children, in the price range of $6. I think it's greedy of those retailers who are purchasing this product at $2.50 each and then selling them for way more than the usual 50% increase to customers. I also think retailers who do receive "retirees" should sell them at that 50% increase...not hoard them in stock rooms for awhile, and sell them for $
0 each.
- I think TY Warner should get him & his millions outt'a the sky & start making The teenie beanies instead of paying someone to.(mc donalds employee told me)
- they are toys for children and should be treated as such I collect them for my 9 year olddaughter and she plays with chops, rex, and garcia as she does the new ones. If tags fall off I save them but they are toys for children not business ventures for adults tell these adults who try to out buy retailers that they upset a child everytime they go into a store and try to buy them all once an adult tried to talk my daughter out of the beanie Erin she was holding and my daughter who is taught to respect
elders almost did gladly i caught on.
- I would like more information as to why there are fewer places selling Beanies. Is the craze slowing down or is TY not making anymore?
- I used to have a Boxer,Max.He got cancer on his leg and he had to have it amputated.During the night he died.I would really enjoy it if you made a boxer Beanie Baby.
- SCOOP SCOOP WILL DEFINATELY RETIRE. CHOCOLATE,FRECKLES & CURLY AS WELL.
- The Bears should be more plentiful and reasonable
- I just wish some were more available.
- I don't like it when people up the price on, for instance, the Princess Diana bear. That was in memory of her, and they're just trying to make more money!!
- Beanies are great fun for me and my 5yr old daughter, it gives us something fun to do together that we both like. We had a blast hunting for Teenies on Friday and completed 5 sets of all 12 by 715am on saturday morning, then slept the rest of the day. On sunday we traded 1 set for Princess with our favorite dealer. Can't wait til May 30th for the new releases!!! Happy Hunting Ya'll!!!!
-
- I think Beanie Babies are a good thing, because the initial cost of most new beanies is approx. $5. Not a whole lot, and you can buy a few at a time and they really add up after a while.
- I really hate how the teddies are hard to get and I wish Ty Warner would just mass produce them so everyone could have one!
- I think it is unfair that we, the customer, have to pay an unreasonable amount for any beanie. They should be no more than $5.00 a peice. I am very upset over this. I really want the Princess bear but I refuse to pay $100 for it. What a bummer!
- what are the new ones
- I AM TRY'IN TO SELL ALL MY BEANIE'S EXCEPT FOR THE BEARS.CAN YOU HELP ?????
- I intend to get two Erins. One for my daughter Erin, one for me for when she grows up and marries. Retailers should stick to the SRP and TY needs to police this better.
- I LOVE TEENIE BEANIES
- I think you should lower the prices.
- We really like Beanie Babies at our home!
- I am over age 18 and just think that these things are cute. I only own a few and I'm not in it for the money. I think that some people are going crazy about this and really taking the enjoyment out of it. Kids are the ones who should have first dibs at these things. It's rather silly that the collecting frenzy has gotten so out of hand. It's only a bit of material and some PVC balls. I think that this trend has a way to go before it dies down, but it will and the things will not be worth nearly
s much as they are now in the speculator's market. But hey, good for Ty! He's made his millions by a job well done!
- They should re-issue varients on retirees too expensive to buy now.
- Need to make more of the bears to go around and make all bears available to allcountries.
- They kick fuckin Ass
- I really appreciate a store near me that sends out a postcard when any recent retired or HTF beanies arrive. They allow you to bring the postcard in for purchase of a certain amount of beanies (this varies from shipment to shipment). They only send out postcards to a certain number of people on their list to insure that every customer has a fair shot. Then the next shipment they send to the next people on the list. I like it because I have two young children and I'm not always able to run down to t
e store right away or to wait for hours in a line somewhere.
- Today is the 3rd day of the Teenie Beanie Baby promotion at McDonald's & it was crazy!! BUT we now have all 12!! And my kids & I are thrilled!
- I have not been able to acquire a bear for the normal price of $5.95 to $7.95. Personally feel the price on the shopping TV channels are too high. I'd like to see some of the old retired Beanie Babies remade, i.e. Coral the fish, chops the lamb, the bears, etc. Thanks for making something so much fun and really inexpensive, provided you get in from the beginning:)
- I am very surprised about Claude and Chocalate not retiring and I am surprised about how many Ty retired. They need to add bugs for beanie babies, such as an ant, mouse, fly, roach, etc.
- Beanie babies have been a tremendous adventure for my family. Our youngest daughter is an insulin-dependent diabetic and the search for, acquisition of, and delight in beanie babies has helped take her mind off her illness. My regret is that we didn't start sooner, since it is next to impossible for us to acquire retired beanie babies. I wish the retailers could come up with a consistent plan for sale when the beanie babies arrive, something that is the same from store to store. Often a hard to fin
beanie is sold out to one or two customers who buy in quantity. I do think it is unfair for secondary markets to sell current beanies at a much higher price than the retailers are able to. I think secondary markets should be limited to retired beanies only. However, I'm sure I would feel differently if I sold beanies on the secondary market myself instead of trying to buy from the secondary market.
- I feel that there should be a way that you don't have to wait in line so long at MacDonalds etc.
- I just think that they should retire them quicker than they are now, maybe once a month or something like that.
- I dislike the Teenie Beanie promotion at McDonald's, because the kids whom the beanies are truly meant for are having a hard time getting them, because they sell out too fast.
- the stores shouldn't hoard beanis for employees
- Craziness, pure craziness, but we love it!!!
- retailers who save all bears for employees s
- I love the TY Babies, and wish the authorized dealers would sell them the way they contracted to. It's hard enough to find the ones missing from my collection without having the retailers holding out the rarest ones for the big bucks. Also I think those same people shouldn't be allowed to have consignment pieces in their shops. Thanks for listening.
- I wish that stores would limet the quantity of beanies of one style to people, so that everyone gets a chance to buy them.
- It is very frustrating to try and obtain Erin or any of the hard to get BB. It seems that most retailors save the hard to find BB for their friends and special customers. I live in a very small village (180 people) and the nearest town is 25 miles away. I'm always missing the hard to find BB because the order came in the day before and since they will not hold BB for you, I have lost interest at times. You hear so many times that collecting BB is supposed to be fun. Even though they are inexpensive
there is too many retired at one time and too many new ones introduced at a time.
The secondary market makes the just retired BB too expensive to purchase of you do not already have it. People on a fixed income or young couples with small children cannot keep buying every new or retired BB even if they would like all the collection.
- My goldfish died last night. I'm sad...My dad said he went to kitty heaven, so i said :Why not fishy heaven?: so dad said:Because it was a catfish:
- More Foxes and Otters!
- My goldfish died last night. I'm sad...My dad said he went to kitty heaven, so i said :Why not fishy heaven?: so dad said:Because it was a catfish:
- i dislike the BEANIE BABY CLUB DISCRIMINATION! it sucks that you have to have the stupid card to get anywhere! IT S-U-C-K-S! and i wish Ty would sotp making the BB b/c they are addicting and being addicted to them makes my parents mad which sucks.
- Life is good with b.b's in it.
- people who sell beanie babies for more than they're worth are greedy;beanie babies are for kids so what happened?
- I think the beanie phenomenon is amazing. I think that beanies should be cheaper though. They shouldn't be like $1000. That way everyone can get all the beanies.
- I think it's unfair that everyone can't own a Princess or an Erin. Stores in my area get these from secondary markets and sell them for as high as $500.
- I love Beanie Babies: expesually the bears and Teenie Beanie Babied
- i love beanies-there the only real collectables i have really had-besides my karate collection of metals-ihave24 meatls-im 11 and i started karate whan i was 3 yr.'s old!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
- I am amazed at the whole thing but think it's great, never thought i would see a grown man beg for a little bag of beans. Very upset at the recent trend of Hallmark dealers to enter the secondary market price range, thought it was a no-no but see it everywhere in the south. I don't think Ty Inc. would look well upon this.
- there needs to be a bassett hound beanie
- I LIKE YOUR IDEA OF EVERYONE GETTING A SHOT AT A BEANIE BABIE FOR AROUND $5.00.
- We are having a blast with it. Ty is doing a good job with keeping beanie babies a hot collection.
- they are really fun to look for.
- It's a harmless, fun hobby. Something to do with the kids grown and gone.
- I think that they should start doing more tyied BB'S
- there is too much variation in the prices from store to store.
- You can sometime predict the probablility of what beanies will retire or come out.
- I really love beanie babies and really wish that my parents would let me dig into my savings so that I could afford to buy all the older retired beanie babies....but the prices are very unrealistic...the worst price I have seen so far is a Bessie for $96 and it's only worth about $45!
- I think beanie babys are a good idea!!!!
- We think Ty should add a peacock, a shrimp and a hamster to the variety of beanies. People need to stop being greedy. Working at a hallmark store, we see people fighting over them, people snatching them out of other people's hand, and mother's smacking their children because the child wants to hold their new toy.
- smiley the Happy face bear (new idea)
- I don't quite understand the markup prices they come up with. I also would like to see a standard price list for the beane babies-depending on what magazine you are looking at the price varies signifigatly
- I am very concerned about retailers who have charged customers outrageous amounts on high demand items, i.e., Peace bear, Princess, Erin, there should be a set price for beanies. In the meantime, I guess the consumers can only boycotte these unscrupulous retailers.
- I would like for retailers to sell the Princess and Erin bears instead of
raffling them off. Everywhere I go there is a drawing for one of these bears.
- I beleive that Beanies are here to stay, no matter what other kinds of collectors say.
- I would like a Packer Bear
- Need a wolf
- Is their really orange pinchers? If so, that's the only one i need!!
- great site
- I Love Retired beania babies I think they should retire more old ones and make more new designs
-
- I wish I could get a britania for a lesser price.
- mcdonalds is not being uniform in their selling - several local mcdonalds are all on different teenie beanies
- We would like to see a star fish beanie baby.
- I love Beanies!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
- bring Garcia back so I can afford him. lol
- I'm collecting them just for fun & it is hard to find a lot of the beanies because so many people are out of control and are getting many of the same one just to make money on them.
- I see the Beanies Craze starting to slow down. People are not buying as quickly and secondary prices have dropped. I hope that it strenthens again soon
- I think you should make a grasshopper Beanie Baby. I would also like to see a Schnauzer soon be made. Thank-you!
- I am hoping to get into some trading business to get some of the older retireds that I don't have!
- This site is cool!
- Beanie Babies are really cool!
- I love beanies & can't wait to see more come out
- I think it is terrible that they are conterfeiting them and it makes it harder for everyone that is collecting them to know if they're "good" or "bad".
- I think that secondaries should sell there beanie babies for less money.
- You need to use words we know.
- Iwould just like to thank Ty Warner for creating beanie's.
- I HAVE 2 PRINCESSES
- I dislike people selling current beanies for more than $5.00.
- I want to know when they will make new beanies.
- what is coming out next?
- Blackie is gonna be retired, fellow beanie freaks!
- for those of you that dislike the secondary market, get over it!! i am looking for sparky and this is my only way to get it.
- Princess and Erin should be more readily available to kids at the 5.99 price. It isn't fair that all the "dealers" hoard them
- Regarding the McDonald's promotions: It would be great if they would not immediately start the next one when they sell out of one beanie. If one sells out, they should start the next one the next day or maybe the same day each week start a new one. The lines in K.C. yesterday at some restaurants were totally absurd--like 45min or more to drive through. And they totally sold out of all 12 styles in 2 days.
- Would love a Princess but the prices are crazy when TY sells them to the stores for $2.50. I can't afford this toy. Even the Hallmark shops are selling Princess for $80 which really upsets me cause I always trusted Hallmark as a reputable company but I guess they too are greedy. You can bet those high prices are not going into the Princess TRUST FUND!!!
- I think that ty should make 3 new colors of the three pastel bunnies!
- I think they need to go ahead and retire the origional nine. There is no point in having them out anymore. Not to mention that Ty is killing their market value.
- I like the affordability of these collectibles for kids...
- Beanie Babies are great, but it is outragous to think that people are charging such high prices for current beanies like Erin and Princess. Event the prices on the retired ones are extreme. I mean, I love these things, but I am not willing to go broke over them!
- Beanies are cool, but expensive!
- I've never seen anything like it! I do not like the fact that BB's retire so often. I hope TY creates a line of Teddys from around the world w/flags of the countries on their chests.
- I don't think authorized retailers should be able to charge such high prices for current Beanie Babies. I also would like to see a list of stores that are authorized retailers in my area.
- I dislike the fact that still some retailers are selling beanies for more than retail price. All beanies should be considered equal in there pricing!!
- Need more bear type beanies
-
- I feel people are way to hard on the retailers, We the consumers need to remember they the retailers are trying to run a business that sells other merchandise than bb's. And the retailers aren't all bad just because a few do things we don't like such as selling to secondary market buyers. Some are good and donate to charities and have nights just for children to buy them. We the consumer need to keep these things in mind and be patient. There always seems to be enough bb's in the end.
- I love beanie a very lot !
- wISH TY COULD KEEP RETAIL PRICES RESONABLE. HARD TO GET TEENIES FOR KIDS WHEN ADULTS GO INTO MACDONALDS & BUY 24 HAPPY MEALS & DEPLETE THE SUPPLY.
- What's the scoop on misprinted tags?
- I don't like how the stores always up the prices on new ones and the bears. They should all be the same price.
- Doby is the "Bomb" :)
- :0)
- I like this fun hobby
- I just wanted to say you are doing a great job
- I disapprove of the way Ty Limits releases of popular beanies or hard to finds.
- When Ty announce new special releases i.e. Britannia I wish they would be able to supply retailers with at least 36 per month if only for a short time. This would stop a lot of the anger building up in people who genuinely collect. It would also encourage retailers to keep their accounts open with Ty. Many are closing int he UK because of lack of deliveries. There are few enough Ty outlets in my area as it is. i.e. 2 within a 30 mile radius
- I would like 2 know how I might be able 2 obtain general information on value of beenies: if there is a book, magazine, internet address, ect... Please send info reguarding this information to: Pheonixx1@aol.com
- I dont like how easily i became obssessed with these little toys.I believe that as long as people keep talking about beanies the more new collectors there will be.The majority of people that I have shown my collection to have started to buy them too.
- I hope it doesn't die out real quick, but if it does then I know what my children and nieces and nephews will get for presents!!
- beanies rule!!!!!!!! They are inexpensive so you don't think about how much you are spending at the time but it hits you when you get home!!! I think the trend will continue and get new collectors caught up in it too now w/ them back @ Mcdonalds
- no comment
- TY caused the secondary market
- There is too much variation in the price at the primary retail level. The price should be more standard.
- CAN'T GET BUT SO FAR ON THE WEB
- Hunting Beanies is the most fun I've had in a long time!
- People in the secondary market beat people to the stores and drive the cost up. Some stores sell directly to them, then tell others they are only allowed 2 of each type. Alot of Hallmark stores are rude. The people get upset when they are asked.
- I dont care about a beanies tag, I just pick the one with the cutest face!
- As a retailer involved in selling beanies, I feel that the collectors are very rude and impatient when inquiring about beanies. We give them answers to their questions and they all but call us liars. I believe that "beanie etiquette" should be addressed with many collectors.
- I'm tired of the Hallmark stores selling Bear Beanies for $50 and up. They are Ty Retailers and should stick to the suggested retail price.
- no
- It teachers me a lot of things about BB's
- Difficulty in finding new releases/hard to finds
- I dislike the frogs, though I own both
- I just love it, the fun of the "hunt", the reasonable price
- I WANT ERIN
- I don't like retailers selling at secondary market prices! They should be reprimanded somehow.
- TY retailers take you for all you've got
- Retailers shouldent be able to sell current BBs over $6.
- I just like the little stufed fellows and I hope ty keeps making new ones.make more bears and cats
- I think that beanies are becoming less wanted, well at least in my town. I have noticed a significent decrease in people wanting them. They would rather go shoping for groceries. I also would like to say that I dislike how some retailers will order beanies, then sell them over the internet, instead of in their stores, for 3 times the price. Thank you
- Has anyone ever seen a Princess in a retail shop at a regular retail price? I would love to know if anyone has ever bought one for regular price, or if the retailers immediately mark them up.
- My 7 & 8 year old girls collect and I think its awful how they are unable to buy the "special beanies" such as Erin and Princess due to peoples greed, even TY disagrees with this. Money is NOT everything!
- I hope that they will come out with a Golden Retriever beanie baby !!!!!!!
- Never thought I'd spend so much money on bean bags!!
- BB's are so cute and inexpensive!
- I think that greedy adults sould stope buying beenies and resale them for ridiculous prices to kid's!it's just rong!
- You should make a poodle and call him Frenchy.
- I hate retailers who sale fake beanies
- I hate retailers who sale fake beanies
- I hate retailers who sale fake beanies
- Why is it so hard to buy beanies, make more so the crazyness stops. I purchases them because I like them not to make money.
- People shouldn't sell BBs for more than they're worth.
- No answer
- Dislike the scarce numbers of the newest, like Erin, Princess, Peace, which encourages high prices in the ridiculous "secondary market."
- greedy people have ruined the collecting of beanie babies just like they have ruined the collecting of baseball cards. Where else by in America can greedy people destroy a kids chance of acquiring a Beanie Baby for a reasonable price. I hope they are happy. I would also like to know where the dealers at toy shows acquire cases of McDonalds Beanie Babies, when the ownere of McDonalds stories can't get them.
- I really enjoy collecting beanie babies even though i don't play with them. I feel that someday, i'll make a big fortune on all of this but i hate how some beanies are so impossible to find. Especially the new ones!!
- I would like to see Princess more available. After all, supposedly the profits are to go to a the Princess Diana charities. Knowing this, I don't understand why they (Princess Beanies) are in such short supply. Is this intensional on TY's part?
- I think that it's great because it gives you info
- I think that this beanie baby thing is okay , but a lot of people get a little (or a lot) carried away with this whole thing. i only have 31 or 32 of them and i have been collecting them for a year and a half now. I also think this teenie beanie thing is way out of control, I wish they sold them at other places cause I hate Mc Donalds. And i hate how they retire so quickly and how sometimes they are so expensive.
- I just wish that they would make more Princesses available and when they are available not let one person buy them all. Princess Di meant alot to alot of people and I personally don't want to go out and buy all of the "stuff" that is popping up with her picture or name on it. I think the Ty Princess bear is something that she would have loved and she would want more people to be able to have access to buy it at the retial price. Ty needs to continue to make this bear more readily available so all th
se who want one can get one because I personally don't have the money to go out and pay a fortune to get one. I can just afford retail.
- I think Beanie Babies Rock Over Everything!!
- I think that Beanies are the Best!
- Beanies are Wonderful...keep releasing new ones....maybe a Scottish bear or and Indian Bear (Native American). Call him "Cheif" the bear or something.
- pricess and erin retire together
- I hate when retailers try to rip people off by selling current beanies for 20 dollars or more. That is outrageous. I will only pay 5.99 for my current beanie babies and the most I have ever spent on a retired one is 40 dollars. I think paying thousands of dollars for one beanie is stupid. Ty Warner didn't intend for the beanies to be this way. He wanted kids to buy them with there allowances not have angry grandma riots forking over 100 dollars just for one.
- Beanie Babies are the best!!!! I have all the current beanies except for Maple and Britannia but, I REALLY REALLY want TY to introduce new beanies SOON!!!!
- some retailers are charging too much.
- TY SHOULD LET PEOPLE CHOOSE WHAT KIND OF BEANIES TO CREATE.
- I don't like those greedy secondary market dealers that charge way to much for beanies. I mean come on they are $5.00 kids toys.
- I feel that the secondary market is a good thing because trading and selling are fun hobbies, and it allows collectors the chance to get Beanies that are not available in their area. However, I feel that some of the prices people are charging are ridiculous, and feel that they should be ashamed.
- Ty should make new ones more often.
- retirement prices are to much even right after they reitire
- I think the secondary markets are crazy!!! The least price you could pay for a beanie is $20!!! I really with Ty could do something!!!
- My interest is mostly on teeny beanies
- I wish they would lower prices on beanies like, Erin, Princess, Garcis, and Peace.
- I LOVE BEANIES!!!!!
- i sell, trade and buy beanies if you are interested in buying sellling or trading let me know at jarek.wheels@worldnet.att.net
- Yes, collecting beanies are COOL!
- TY-DIED BUNNY-MOPPITY?
- I dislike the collecters who buy so many that they are hard to get for the children they were intended for in the first place.
-
I think that they need to LOWER beanie prices. I don't mind paying 5-10 dollars for one, but, when you have to pay $15-30 for the most recent one, I think that's dumb. They could still make a good profit if they lower them.
- I think it is great that there is finally a collection that is family oriented!!!
- I think you should make a Schnauzer.I had to give away my Schnauzer,Sunny, and I miss her alot.I know many people who would like a Schnauzer.Thank-you!!
- I really hate it that one retailer in my area hordes any popular ones for herself and her unfriendly employees and she also holds the hard to finds behind the counter. If you want one you must ask for it, she'll only sell you one and at a hugely inflated price. I wanted a Peace bear and I had to pay alot of money for it because I needed to buy it for a very close friend who was dying of cancer. She didn't get to enjoy it though because she died before I could give it to her. The retailer had Peace in
efore she put them out but she wouldn't put them out until she and her cronies picked them over to find the prettiest ones. I only buy them from stores now that don't put utterly ridiculous restrictions on you.
- Although I do not care for the secondary market and do not purchase from them. They are the one's who have increased the popularity of collecting these cute creatures. However at the same time they are the reason why you cant trust any Beanie Baby you purchase (even in retail stores) to be authentic ones.
- MORE BEANIE BABYS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
- Should make a Peacock or another mouse named Cheese or Squeaky
- I wish more stores carried them, I don't have time to be calling retailers to see what they have, I collect for my two children, they love them.
- I am 7 years old and I have 2 golden retrievers. I wish they would make a golden retriever beanie baby.
- don't like created shortages.
- After waiting on lines for two hours etc it is very frustrating dealers are holding back and selling retireds for huge profits. People are getting frustrated because you do not have a fair chance to buy supplies that are sent to the retailers. The retailers have you at there mercey. This is not fun
- It is funny with the teanies, the first day everyone wasnt every single one, and the next day noone wants the ones that happened to be extra from the first day. (One McDonalds here sold out in one day)
- I wish I could convince everyone not to pay more than suggested retail price for beanies, then the prices would come down for everyone!
- I wish ty would retire more often and come out with new more often
- TOO MANY GREEDY PEOPLE AND YOU HAVE TO BE CAREFUL OF THE FLOOD OF CONTERFEIT BEANIES. I DON'T LIKE SEEING ESCALATED PRICES ONLY TO HAVE THEM PLUMMET MONTHS LATER AFTER I HAVE PURCHASED THE BEANIE AT THE HIGH PRICE FOR FEAR IT WOULD BE SCARCE AND UNATTAINABLE
- afraid it will fizzle out like the cabbage patch dolls
- I do not think that the unretired bears such as erin and pricess should sell for so much.
- I Love Erin
- I really LOVE BBs. I think it's terrible that people are selling fakes!
-
-
- I think all regular beanies should be $4.50 and retireds-: $7.00-$50.00. Then people of the world can all collect these beeloved bean-filled friends!
- I think that all beanie retailers should sell beanies at a set price, I find too often that beanie retailers up their prices if they here any whispers about what is hard to get or what is going to be retired.
- I feel that the princess bear was not sold properly, everyonr should have been able to give to the charity.
- Ihate having to pay alot to get one current beanie baby
- I think McDonalds is doing a CRAPPY job with the teenies this time!
- I enjoy the challenge of obtaining the hard to find beanie babies!!!
- I wish Erin and Princess were more accessable to children instead of moneyed collectors. They are delightful toys to my family - not investments.
- Nope!!
- I enjoy the hobbie of collecting beanies very much!!!
- A new beanie will be blondie the gloden retriever. It gives a hint in daisys diary.
- Beanie Babies are sooo cool!!!!!!!!!!
- I feel that authorized dealers should be monitored more closely. My main objection is to Hallmark which has upped the prices on their beanies and required additional purchases to be able to buy a beanie baby. Some stores even keep beanies for their employees or hold back certain beanies such as Erin and Princess and do not allow them to be purchased by their customers.
- Beanie Babies are sooo cool!!!!!!!!!!!111
- I have collected FROGS for 34 years ... this is fueling my obsessive-compulsive habit.
- The Beanie Babies are cool
- I think they should make a groundhog for Groundhog's day. Please send me a Princess! I need one sooooo bad!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
- I love Beanies, but prices are getting out of hand!
- Life with out beanies would be a very boring world. I just don't know WHAT I would do!
- I wish there were someway to stop all the people who are selling princess, erin and all the other hard to find beanies for so much money as my daughter is trying to buy her own collection and is very hard for her to come up with $150 to $400 for a beanie. she is only 11 years old Hope someone will put a stop to this kind of crap!!!!!!
-
- I think it's unfair how ty retire their new beanies before they sell them.
- No.
- you know I started collecting beanies before all the trend and it was alot better and more fun then now, I do it now for the same reason back then..... cause I like them and they are cute.. there is not money value in there, I just wish stores felt the same way, I mean going in to a store and haveing to fight for them just isnt as fun.... but in some ways the beanies are worth it... So thank you
- More Dogs!!!!
- secondary market is entirely out of hand and gives beanie babies a black eye. There are no GREAT deals at shows and on the internet. It is disgusting that there were people selling on the internet 1 hour after McDonalds released the second line of teanies!
- I Love Beanie Babies!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
- I think it would be great if Ty made a FERRET Beanie Babie
- It has been fun connecting with people from all over to exchange beanies. There are a lot of nice people out there who love beanies. In today's world isn't that neat?
- I have 3 teenie beanie babies. They are Doby, Twigs, and Bongo!
- I BELIEVE THE SECONDARY MARKET IS IMPORTANT FOR ANY TYPE OF COLLECTIBLE. I HAVE NO PROBLEM WITH THE SECONDARY MARKET PEOPLE PURCHASING BEANIES AS LONG AS THEY HAVE TO PURCHASE THEM IN THE SAME MANNER AS I DO. I TOTALLY RESENT THE RETAIL STORES THAT NEVER HAVE THE HARD TO FIND BEANIES OR RECENT RETIREDS RECEIVED FROM BACK ORDERS. I HAVE 2 FRIENDS WHO HAVE SECONDARY STORES. I HAVE BEEN WITH THEM WHEN THEY HAVE GONE INTO STORES THAT JUST 15 MINUTES EARLIER TOLD ME VIA PHONE THAT THEY DID NOT HAVE THE
REVIOUSLY MENTIONED ITEMS. WHAT THEY DO IS KEEP THEM IN THE BACK AND WHEN A DEALER COMES IN THEY SELL TO THEM BUT FOR A SLIGHTLY HIGHER PRICE THAT SHELF PRICE (BACK DOOR SELLING). I GOT SO MAD I ACTUALLY CONFRONTED ONE STORES MANAGER. SOME STORES ALSO KEEPO ALL THEIR STOCK IN A BACK ROOM SO YOU HAVE NO IDEA WHAT IS AVAILABLE. YOU CAN ALSO CALL VARIOUS TIMES THROUGH OUT THE DAY AND THE SAME ITEM CAN CHANGE PRICE NUMEROUS TIMES. I ALSO DO NOT LIKE THE WAY MOST STORES HANDLE THE SELLING OF THE BEANIES.
HEN I GO INTO ANY TYPE OF BUSINESS I WANT TO HAND PICK THE ITEM I PURCHASE WHETHER IT BE TOMATOS, CLOTHES, A CAR OR A BEANIE. I RESENT BEING HANDED A BEANIE & TOLD IF YOU WANT ONE YOU HAVE TO TAKE THIS ONE. ALSO, A LOT OF STORES PUT SIGNS ON THEIR DOORS OR WILL TELL YOU WHEN YOU CAN THAT THEY HAVE NONE IN, BUT IF YOU GO INTO THE STORE THEY HAVE THEM ON THE SHELF. THEY SAY THEY DO THAT SO WHEN CUSTOMERS COME IN WHO PURCHASE OTHER ITEMS BESIDES BEANIES GET FIRST CHOICE. SOME STORES WILL NOT SELL TO YOU U
LESS YOU HAVE A CHILD WITH YOU. WHAT ABOUT THOSE OF US WHO COLLECT FOR GRANDCHILDREN? I BELIEVE THE RETAIL STORES NEED A GOOD LESSON IN CUSTOMER SERVICE AND SATISFACTION!
- we tink that they should make more sheep
- Please mass produce the Bears so we all can afford to collect them.
- Maple or Blackie are next to go!
- ITS A GREAT WEB-SITE
- I wish TY would not just make 12 to each store They should make like 3,000,000 of each that would get lots of profits!
- Frankly, I think Ty Warner has become a greedy son of a b*tch who allows markets to inflate the prices of these toys that he says were "meant for children"...yeah, sure. He is out to glorify himself and make a billion dollars, children be screwed. The greedy adults out there are abusing our kids by shoving them aside when BBs come out new and grabbing handfuls to sell on the internet for seven times what they are worth. It makes me sick.
- I would like to see a Golden Retriever and a beagle added to the list of dogs.
- Spankyshouse@LRBCG.com Please put me on mailing list !!
- What I hate the most is how expensive it has gotten by buying on the secondary market. Ty should send enough of all the Beanies so that everyone can buy them Example: they only sent 12 Princesses to some of the stores. So, we had no choice but to pay alot if we wanted one.
- TY should penalize the retailers that charge more than the 4.99 suggested price. It is unfair to the children who want to purchase the Beanie Babies. Especially when there is several children in a family.
- i don't like how u can never find any beanie babies
- more bears please
- I think this will last a little longer than Disco
- the prices are way too high for BBs
- I think Ty should monitor Ty dealers who also sell secondary stock for counterfeits and yank their license if counterfeits are found. This should be the risk of the secondary dealers.
- MAGIC THE DRAGON RULES!!!!! BOY POWER!!!
- I don't appreciate those popular vendors who sell recently retired beanie babies for $10/$15 automatically. It isn't fair. Nor do I appreciate the ones who sell brand new releases for $10/$15 either.
- I am too crazy for beanies. I have 133 beanies. In my opinion, this is not a faze. beanies will be around forever!!!!!!
- Retired beanies are selling for ridiculous prices! Will the beanie fashion last?
- I think all Beanies are great and wish it was a little easier to get them. Of course that wouldn't be as much fun. Also, the bears are much to hard to find at a reasonable price.
- I feel that some retailers are making it impossible for children to collect. I a parent is trying to get sets for their children and they have more than 1 child its hard to get them. Most stores have limits due to greedy secondary purchasers who grab up so many that kids can't get a fair shake. I purchase for 3 children and usually can only buy 1 of each style at a time. Our local Hallmark store will allow only 1 of each style per FAMILY!!!!!!!!! Makes for tough fair shopping!
- bears are popular especially Chilly my polar bear
- i think that beanies are once more going to RAGE and then totally go out of style, that's why i'm going to sell mine at the highest point of that rage
- I agree with Ty's philosphy on the selling price of Beanies. However, I do not agree with secondary retailers who sell Beanies for three times more than they are worth. Beanies were started for kids to enjoy and should remain that way for as long as Beanies are being made. It is the children that make the Beanie Babies collectable and lovable not the greedy adults that take advantage of childrens' piggy banks and trusting hearts.
- I wish that ALL Beanies could be bought at reasonable prices.
- I don't think you should take any one beanie baby and change it a little and sell it. Like Lizzy. You have one that is tie-dyed and one that is blue. Come out with new beanies that you don't already sell. There are enough animals, etc. out there to not be doing this.
- i don't like how ty makes us wait on the new beanie babies announcement or retirement announcement. i get way impatient. i think that beanie baby prices should go up. i like how you can make a profit from them. i like the various styles. i have seen old beanies such as kiwi, flash, splash, chilly, and caw on shelves but i thought that $5.00 was a waist of money. i regret it now.
- Until late '97, I didn't even know what a beanie baby was, nor did I care! Now I am an addict. Amazing how quickly you can get engrossed in these little animals. As long as you have patience, you can make a little money and have some fun doing it! That's what I like about collecting Beanie babies. It's the thrill of the hunt!!
- I think sencondary market prices are soooooo high. Ty made these for kids, now us kids cant buy them because they are sooo expensive!!
- i wish i could buy erin for less than 25.00 he is not retired and should not cost that much
- I think you should come out with Drew the Bear and he should wear a cowboys hat, boots, vest with a sheriffs badge, and have a little lasso
- I THINK IT STINKS THAT THERE ARE SO MANY GREEDY PEOPLE OUT THERE THAT ARE SELLING ON THE SECONDARY MARKET. HOW ARE CHILDREN SUPPOSED TO ENJOY THESE TOYS WHEN DEALERS KEEP THERE STOCK AND JACK UP THE PRICES SO THEY CAN'T AFFORD THEM? AFTER ALL, BEANIES WERE CREATED FOR CHILDREN TO ENJOY!
- I don't like how expensive Princess and Erin are. I think they should be priced reasonably.
- Why isn't Peace on the "next on your acquisition list"?
- I dont like it when people sell bb more then they are worth.
- I LOVE BEANIES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
- I used to hate beaniebabies,but now I think they're a great investment.
- We dislike how they are worth so much . We think they should sell for five cence and Tabasco should be worth a 1$ and Garica, erin & princess 2.50$
- I dont like how they sell fake/wannabe's of Ty's
- Beanies are for kids, so keep the prices down for them!
- I Think you should retire Peace or Erin
- I am very intersested in getting Pricess, but have not yet found where I can purchase her...I would like to see the beanies more available.
- STOP RETIRING BEANIE BABIES!!!
- BEANIE BABIES SUCK! I MEAN, COME ON IT'S A PIECE OF CLOTH AND PLASTIC BALLS AND IDIOTS ARE BUYING THEM FOR $100+ OR EVEN $1000+ THAT'S STUPID. YOU KNOW WHAT YOU COULD DO WITH THAT MONEY INSTEAD OF SPEND IT ON A WORTHLESS PIECE OF CRAP THAT JUST HAPPENS TO BE OVERLY POPULAR AND AS SOON AS THEY GO "OUT OF STYLE" YOU'LL HAVE INVESTED $1000s IN WHAT IS NOW WORTH MAYBE 100!!!!!!!! SAVE THAT MONEY AND DO SOMETHING WORTH YOUR WHILE(VACATION) OR BUY SOMETHING YOU'VE BEEN WANTING BUT HAVEN'T HAD THE MONEY FOR(B
CAUSE OF THOSE DAMN BEANIES). THEY'RE GOING TO BE JUST LIKE THE STOCK MARKET CRASH, THERE VALUE WILL(keyword) DROP AND EVERYONE DUMB ENOUGH TO HAVE INVESTED IN THEM WILL LOSE THEIR MONEY. SELL NOW OR FOREVER LOSE YOUR CASH!!!!
- I don't like people selling them more than 4.95 because the rules say that price. But I think that they are all CUTE!
-
- THEY'RE GREAT!
- Princess is impossible to find unless it's the secondary market.
- my daughter would like to see another panda; Peking is way out of range for her allowance. I like the idea of the Princess bear for chairty, but some stores auctioning them off for $200 plus is outrageous. Also the same is true for Erin. I think Ty should make plenty of them for everyone who wants one to have one. This way we would know for sure that the proceeds would to the proper chairty and not into someone's greedy pocketbook!!!
- keep them commin'
-
I don't like the mean people who take beanies from kids! i amonly a little girl
- I think to some extent, the beanie market has gone too crazy. Just today, I saw people going from store to store collecting all the teenie beanies they can buy. Is there a limit to the greed that follow these plush toys?
- I think the newer retireds are not going to be as valuable as the older retireds because more are produced.
- I don't like new versions of Beanies -- I feel silly buying the same Beanie just because he is slightly different. If I have the original, I resist buying the newer versions. For example, I have Doodle, but not Strut. I have Garcia, but not Peace. I plan to use Beanies to decorate our nursery once we are expecting a baby!
- Beanie babies are totally Da Bomb!
- I think it is fine to have higher prices on retireds, but I think it unfair to children for people to mark up prices on the currents even if they are difficult to get.
- All stores should sell them for the same price and be turned in if they don't comply. This is for children and at times are becoming unaffordable for the child. The stores should put out all and not hold any back such as the Princess or Erin ones which has happened to us. My six year old was crushed when they refused to sell them to us. (They were for a drawing but not the whole shipment!) Tighter strings are needed.
- Second hand buyers/sellers should not be able to sell the Beanie Babies for such an outrageous amount, such as a Princess bear for $400.00
- All who are predisposed to obsessive behaviors should stay away -- these things are incredibly addictive!
- I hate how people do not like some beanie babies like Crunch and Gracie. They are cute to me.
- My mom and I feel that the secondary market should be stopped, and all beanies should be $5.99, and many of my friends are unable to get certain ones unless you can afford to pay a fortune for it. Thanks
- I wish that people would not be so greedy when it comes to these cute little things..I saw a mother tell a child she would kill another child for a Beanie once...it was pretty scarry. I wish this wouldn't bring out the worst in people.
- more in the stores and more princess and erin maded
- More secondary markets like eBay
- ant and the anteater series
- Wish you could keep them in the children's price brackets. They enjoy collecting, but some of the prices are completely unreasonable. Also have a problem with store employees buying up the rarer ones, so the kids never see them. How about a more even number manufactured and distributed? More revenue for TY and less room for greediness on the part of the distributers. It would might help decrease the fakes also.
- retailers are taking advantage of the beane baby phenominon
- I just plain love beanies!!!!!!!!!!!!11
- I wish there was a place you could buy retired beanie babies for a child that just likes a particular beanie baby without having to pay an outragous price.
- I love Beanies, but if their prices go any higher than what they are now (in stores), then I'll just have to drop one of my favorite hobbies. I can only afford the old retireds by trading for well-loved ones.
- Please keep in mind that these are supposed to be collectables for kids and stop hourding.
- I believe that they should have beanies that are only found in the USA!
- I don't like people taking advantage
- I enjoy collecting for myself, children, and friends. I think they are very cute. I would enjoy trading or making some money on them but feel that so many consumers and retailers have gotten too greedy. I will not stand in line for hours or pay outrage
- Beanies are really neat and I love collecting them.
- I think that we all like BB so well because they are so much fun! Fun to play with , look at, to find and buy!! I hope that the Fun is able to stick around for a long time!!
- While I sometimes enjoy "the hunt", I feel very frustrated at not being able to purchase new BB as soon as I'd likle. I hate that retailers keep for themselves or staff the special or any BB that come out.. I think that is unfair. I hope we will all get a chance to purchase Erin and Princess, and other specialties. While I collect for long term value, I really doubt that BB will have much value in years to come. Ty simply makes too many of them. It is too bad that some retailers ask such high
rices. I refuse to shop in their stores unless it is the only place I am able to get a certain BB.
- IS there new beanies that were just released? garyjoh@iw.edwpub.com
- Would like to see more bears, more readily available.
- I am very disappointed in retailers selling Princess and Erin for outrageous amounts of money ... also some retailers holding back Beanies (such as Stretch) and selling them for 5 or 6 times more than they should because "they will be next to retire".
- I do not mind the secondary market, but I do not like retailers that ask secondary prices or make you buy up to $100.00 of merchandise in thier store in order to purchese either Princess or Erin.
- As much as I love these little guys, I think the Secondary Market has peaked. Like many other collector's, I am frustrated with trying to compete with these greedy vendors who buy twenty beanies while I wait in line for one. While those greedy people have contributed to increasing the Secondary Market, I feel they may also cause the downfall. I'm tired of this madness.
- I just got caught up in the maddness!
- I used to think that collecting BB's was fun. Its sure not fun anymore! People who just collect for fun can't even get them anymore unless they pay extravagant prices. I hate that!
- i've only been collecting two weeks. i just wish i'd started sooner.
- Retire Princess and Erin soon, please :)
- I dislike stores that sell only to people with offical ty club cards.
- The greed of the secondary market and how they get away with it.
- the marketing strategy that TY uses is good. Small gift shops & specialty stores help those shops get people in. BB's are affordable and my kids love them. Each has it's own personality.
- Hope it never ends
- I wish more retailers would stick with Ty's pricing philosophy of $4.99 so people could actually afford to purchase them!
- just got a call from a retailer telling me my number (#189) was up to receive a peace Bear for $19.95. I was disappointed that they were charging extra for a special Teddy. Also called a store called "Green Woodpecker" in Phoenix. the owner said he just received 36 Erins and was charging $150.00 each. That's a whopping profit of $5300.00. Ty should set up a mail order system similar to the Clubby bear promotion. This would ensure that the retailers play fair.
- My 7 yr. old says that TY should make a pigeon beanue and call it "Poopie"! I agree, it would be the only pigeon worth it's feathers!! Beanies are a great way to introduce children to collecting.
- I dislike the local ty distributers who hoard their beanies and only sell the good ones (like Peace) to people they know. They also sold Erin. Their backroom has the special ones they only get out for certain people. Darts to them.
- I thought of collecting just for a possible future investment, but now I am not sure how I could give them up even for a good price. They are addictive. Who is going to help all of us with this crazy animal addiction.
- makig a new beanie baby
- That there are no new ones to look for!
- "I love them all!!!!!!!!!
- That there are no new ones to look for!
- Let's keep it for fun not greed
- Beanie Babies are cool, but adults are waaay to greedy. They are keeping the prices up on the retired(and current) ones. I can't believe how much Britiannia is going for. It's those stupid adult HOGGERS. They don't collect them, they hog them. Beanie babies were made for kids, but adults have COMPLETELY taken over. Adults are way too greedy, especially for kids toys. If there are ANY kids, 15 and younger, who can actually AFFORD Britiannia, please e-mail me at Girlpow564@aol.com. Thanks. Girlp
w564.
- BEANIES RULE!!!!!!
- boomer the black lab
- I would like the shipments to be more regulated.
- I think we should be able to bring one Beanie Baby back from Canada per person i.e. Maple.
- Would love "any" bee beanie to place with my ladybug and bee collection I have going
- dislike authorized dealers that overprice ex. princes $125.00 Erin $175.00 Beanies should be priced from TY VENDERS SO ANYONE CAN AFFORD THEM .....
- Wonderful people doing this, friendly charming..Brings out the kid in us and lets us have a collection that is non sexist childrenm male female even animals have the beanies as playmates
- I think prices are way too high and little is being done to control it. They are suposed to be $5, for children to collect, not for adults to sell for hundreds of dollars, can kids (the original people Ty set out to please) afford that? NO! So why isn't anything being done to change it?! I have not been able to get a BB in several months because the average around here is $25.
- i LIKE ALL THE REALLY, REALLY, OLD RETIRED ONES. i WOULD JUST LIKE TO SEE THEM IN REAL LIFE, NOT PICTURES
- I luv Beanies!:)
- MAKE MORE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
- I LOVE ZIP ALL BLACK
- Beanie babies are awesome and the trend will never fade!
- Anvil the Hammerhead Shark
- I think that like ty said beanie babies were made so that kids could buy them with their allowance money. I don't think its right to sell them for so much since they were directed towards kids.
- You should make a Vanilla the Moose
- JUST SO COOL I LOVE THEM
- there is onething wrong with bb's they don't taste good.
- This is a cute fad, but let's get real -- they're Beanies! Children's toys! The frenzy is a total turn-off, as are most of the secondary dealers. Let's all play fair and enjoy these cuddly toys.
- i thin hop, hip, flop, will become real big like the teddy's
- all beanies should be at or below $10
- i thin hop, hip, flop, will become real big like the teddy's
- I like almost all of the beanies (don't care much for the monkeys!). I wish there were more Erin's made...there is a big Irish/American contingent out there!!! I would by several for my nieces and nephews (and aunts and uncles) and myself, of course!
- can't wait for more new ones
- I think Ty should add more and retire less, or less often.
- Have Fun Searching!
- Ilove Beanies!! I think tha the phenomenon will last a very long time! I also think that they should make a beanie that TY should make a beanie that commemorates independence day like when TY made Libearty I think they Should make another like that!
- No
- No
- I am a VERY new collector, but have seen a lot of the dealers participating in getting Beanies to children, such as those in foster care, hospitals, etc. I am very impressed with the heart of the collectors and dealers I have seen thus far.
- I'm a kid, they are charging to much for Princess!
- I want them all and don't want to pay a lot for any...I have learned a lot about business from bbs
- I love beanie babies but I think some of the prices are unfair like 200 dollars for 1 beanie. I also think that employees of stores should not be able to hold them back for them or other people.
- people pay too much for stuffed animals. the prices are only going up because so many people want them and are willing to pay high prices for beanie babies. IT MAKES ME SICK!!!!
- i like collecting them
- This is a fun fad and I'm enjoying myself.
- I started saving them when I found out I was pregnant and now I can't get enough of them!
- I started saving them when I found out I was pregnant and now I can't get enough of them!
- Secondary marketers are fine, but there are some that spoil the barrel. Dealers who sell in large quantity to secondary dealers or are themselves secondary dealers should be dropped. Ty Dealers who sell merchandise that has come in from TY at hugh mark up rates because the secondary market draws it should be dropped also because it makes it very difficult for children to acquire these sought after beanies too.
- There should be more of the new released beanies shipped to each store so everyone can find them at regular retail prices ($5-$7).
- I just want so new ones to come out
- Hi i was wondering if you would trade me huphrey for any of the bears
- a new cow!!!!
- Ty needs to be sure there are enough of the may 98 new issues available more and more of my avid beanie friends are becoming disgusted with and therefore discontinuing their buying of any beanies at all. ENOUGH GREED ALREADY We thought they were supposed to be toys for kids to have FUN with
- Mr. Ty Warner just *thinks* he has this ALL under control. Right, sure you do.
- I just wish they were more readily available. They are a true joy to my grandchildren and yet they are awfully hard to find around here!
- I hope the values will continue to increase
- I work for a toy store that sells them for $5.99 and I have seen them go from entirely kid searched for, to ALL Adults. I think that it is a shame that these individuals are ruining a good thing for kids. Beanies are the Cabbage Patch Kids of the 90's: Inflated and ridiculous priced now and worthless in a few years. All of these people are hanging on to them expecting them to be worth big $'s, but if enough people are hoarding them, simple economics states that they won't be worth jack!!!!!!!!!!!!!
- I collect for my 3 year old daughter and my biggest frustration is the lack of Princes and Erin in stores. I suspect that most of the stores that I check for beanies are not putting theses bears on the shelf but are selling to the secondary market. I find it very hard to explain to a 3 year old why after all this time we still haven't seen these bears for sale at a reasonable price. I think Ty should never introduce a beanie which will be available in only limited quantities in the first month (as t
ese bears were) as this seems to start a secondary market frenzy which makes them unattainable at a regular price for a ridiculous amount of time.
- I think you should retire beanie babies more than once a quarter, and make more mystical creatures. Thank you for your time and trouble reading this!
- Flood the market and the price will drop
- I like collecting BB but I wish stores would limit the number of each style that one person can buy at a time so we all could get at least one copy of each one.
- WE NEED MORE MONKEYS
- i dislike how people are nuts and my mom now want take me to mcdonalds because she says all of you people are crazy in your nogon. thank you for your time and trouble.and
- i love beanies but it gets crazy when you have AUTHORIZED dealers selling beanies for $100-$300 just to help promote themselves. who can afford to pay this??? i paid only $6.99 for a princess bear at my local hospital gift shop and the money i spent goes to help the children programs in that hospital!!!!
- would like a shepard
- I think if ty wanted them to be sold for$5.00, that's what they should be sold for.
- I feel the greed of adults has made beanies almost impossible for children to enjoy and children is for who the beanies were made for to begin with.
- retailers should sell beanies for the price that Ty tells them to sell them for. It's ridiculous out there!!!
-
- Predictions: Market will drop out soon, It's not fun anymore! greed has taken over
- I'm considering selling my beanies since I saw a jerk on tv selling them. These guys made me feel cheap for even being involved with what they were selling. How do 2 big mouthed jerks like this get enough beanies to auction off on tv? I really think that seeing this ruined it for me. My daughter feels the same way.Its been fun and the secondary dealers didn't bother me but to have a show like this cheapened them more than I can tell you. I'm done for good, I think.
- They're too expensive sometimes!
- They're too expensive sometimes!
- I think that the beanie babies have given a lot of us a purpose and the enjoyment of the hunt and the purchasing of the new ones and when you finally get a retired one it feels so good and you feel so lucky!
- BEANIE BABIES RULE!!!! :)
- Isaid I would never collect them, but they are so cute how could someone resist! I do wish there were more price control. I hate going into a store a several beanies are marked up because they think they are hard to find, when the store done the road has them for less.
- I amsurpriesed how much most men do notlike or understand this collection.
- i am looking allover the internet for an updated list of the retired as well as current beanie babies. ;) help me find it? my mom is collecting these as an investment and collection for my sons, i keep track of them and shop my area for them, as well, as her doing that in her area. she's got 1/2 the collection at her home and i've got the other 1/2 at my home, way up high on shelves where my boys can't reach them. :)
- Beanie Babies are gay
- I don't like people who lie about buying them for kid then selling them to the secondary market. GREED
- I would like to know how to report a retailer for price gauging, anyone w/info send to Aguascalientes@webtv.net Thanks!
- I WOULD LIKE TO SEE SOME OF THE RETAILERS THAT ARE PLAYING GAMES AND SELLING OUT OF ANTIQUE MALL AND OUT THE BACK DOOR LOSE THIER FRANCISE. I WOULD LIKE TO SEE TY LISTEN TO THE PEOPLE WHO ARE TRYING TO ADD TO THIER COLLECTION ABOUT THE RETAILERS THAT ARE PLAYING THESE GAMES. WE ARE THE PEOPLE WHO CAN TELL THEM FIRST HAND ABOUT THE RETAILERS WE HAVE TO DEAL WITH, WE THE CUSTOMERS HAVE THE INFORMATION THEY NEED BUT DONT SEE THEM LISTENING TO US. THIS HAS BECOME A GREEDY, LYEING GROUP OF RETAILER AND NO O
E CARES.
- I would like to know how to report a retailer for price gauging, anyone w/info send to Aguascalientes@webtv.net Thanks!
- Dislike: Many dealers in this area will set aside new BBs for "special customers", thereby making many unavailable to the average person.
- Ty is too secretive
- I dislike retailers jacking up the prices on hard to find or popular beanies. They need to sell them all at the retail price.
- i buy beanies for my daughter, sometimes for my son or myself, and i think it is really sad to think that i can't get her one that she wants most because of greedy people who do not follow ty warner's intent.....that beanies should be a collectible toy, an AFFORDABLE toy, for children
- the inability to get to the store to buy the beanies is very hard on me. i am a working mom and am unable to just drop things and run and stand in line with all the other people. and, it really disturbs me about all the secondary dealers out there who can just stay on the phone all day checking if there are beanies in. and, camping out in front of hallmark. and, most of all how is the home shopping network or qvc able to sell these beanies on tv for such high prices who is supplying them.
how can a mom who works all the time and doesn't have any credit cards have a fare shake? sincerely mrs. godsey
- They should make a camouflage teddy.
- Can't wait for this to lighten up!
- I think there might be a Claws the hawk, Looney the loon, Teath the wolf,
Teady (maroon), and Blue the blue whale.
- I don't like crunch, he looks to mean! I also think that adults who bye beanies and srell them for outrageous prices are poopeasds
- My 15 year old daughters says, that all bb people are so sweet -- met some really nice people. Was very fortunate a local merchant called when Erin and Princess arrived and we were able to purchase 2 of each.
- My 15 year old daughters says, that all
- beanies are collectibles-not kids' toys
- I think there are too many beanies - they should limit the quanity, making the game more fun!
- Grunt is not scary, but cute and wonderful, who cares about prices?
- Ty should send more Princess's
- I hate fighting with greedy people so that I can get the collection for my daughter.
- would like to find more beanies everywhere!
- Love all my beanies!!! They give me great satisafaction, and unlike children, they don't answer back!!!!!
- I feel that TY needs to take complaints about dealers more seriously. There are a lot of merchants out there who would like the opportunity to sell the TY products, and do it fairly. These merchants don't get a chance, while in the meantime, several merchants who do sell them are getting way out of hand. I feel that if TY is going to keep control of how the beanies are handled, then they need to re-issue dealer licences and set forth terms and agreements!!!!! We have one dealer here in Gillette, WY,
who will not even sell Beanies to children on several ocassions. This business being Pat's Hallmark!!!
- You should make more birds
- BB's rule I don't like counterfits and claude and strut are going to retire
- Does Betty Ford know about this?????(Is there a beanie-holics annonymous????)
- I started because they were cute. When I had trouble finding them, I got hooked.
- It's a lot of fun.
- Dislike the retail stores that keep bb for themself
- I wish the bears sold in other countries were easily available in the US.
- Radar is scary and kinda ugly
- Erin and Princess not available except to take a chance or pay outrageous prices. Sick of hearing about Princess benefits. Just let us buy the Beanies!
- I love beanies!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
- I love all the beanie babies!!!
- I wish TY would fix there web site problems so all could post without Userid Denied
- the princess beanie isn't even retired but yet it is in the 100's range. I am very greatful for the ones who understand what it is like to be a kid collector and sell it to me for $65 instead
- *~*~*Pounce is going to get rreigr hvfxcgvcvghdflc.x/k;lvfsgl/.j (`(`Fate x v' Scrambler`)`) (`(`Word: otho (1) `)
- I think as a 10 - year old, the prices are getting to high!!!!!!!
- what is a acquisition?
- i hate resellers who buy up all the beanies from stores and they were meant for kids and collectors not greedy scum
- what is a acquisition?
- I dislike the greedy secondary market people. Some secondary markets are reasonable after all they take their time to go and purchase the beanies. I don't think it is too much to ask if they keep the prices in between $8-12 for currents. I went into one store yesterday and the guy wanted $17 for Chip and $65 for Peace! Also, I hate it when internet sellers aren't entirely honest. I purchased a Curly, Valentino, and Peace set for $50. Asked all kinds of questions and when they arrived today the Pe
ce was Canadian. Uhg. Now I still need a Peace for my collection.
-
- Love beanies but some people can get prices out of hand
- i feel personaly it will cool down soon so i am just 'gonna have fun!!
-
- I can't find any of the bears (Valentino, Peace, Erin, Blackie, Curly) and all the Princesses are going for $100 in stores. I've looked in DC, Maryland and St. Louis. Please, Please, Please see if you can prevail on Ty todistribute the bears and at fair prices. I love Peace and Erin and would love to have them
- the way the princess bear and erin bear are so hard to get for people who dont have big money for them but they would like to have them in there collection. It is not fair to them. the way it was handled.
- I wish new BB and retirees would happen more often. I <3 my beanies!
- The price fluctuations amoung the stores in which I think Ty is addressing this concern.
- I don't like being the next person in line only to find out the person before me got the last one I wanted.
- I think that they are a great thing to collect for yourself or children in the family. Some of them are below 10......and they have become a great gift for friends or family, that is on the cheaper side. I find myself giving then to people for just a fun, for no reason, gift!
- I dislike the fact that Ty Warner does not make enough beanies to satisfy the consumer because it leaves collectors w/out a beanie that they really want or like. Although his supply and demand ploy is ingenious, It has been going on way to long. I also think it unfair that many adults willl price the beanies higher than necessary, because these were made so children could have a cute affordable toy, and no one is able to buy one. Ty warner needs to find a way to improve his product so the consumer is
atisfied.
- I think TY should come out with a Peacock, Anteater, Humming bird, Hedgehog, Rat and a Deer.
- Hire help we need more beanies
- I think there are many retailers who take advantage of kids and collectors and sell retireds way overpriced on the primary market. I have found only one store that sells their retireds for $6, intead of overpricing them just because they are retired. I can accept this from the secondary market, but I think their should be limits for the primary market. It is unfair to all when this happens (except the selfish retailer).
- I love beanies! May they live on forever!
- The supply needs to be delivered on a regular and timely basis.
- The supply needs to be delivered on a regular and timely basis.
- This is amazing....who would have thought a little stuffed animal would cause such a panic.....I cant believe this. I stumbled onto a line by accadent on my way thrugh the mall in July 0f 96...I picked up Magic, Cubbie and a few others. The sad thing is, I remember being in a Hallmark store Christmas 95, I had my hands on Peking, Chilly and Garcia, and I remember seeing the all black Zip and Trap but because it was Christmas I couldnt affors them and put them back. Trust me , I still regret this
[ mabe someday ill find them again. I still cant believe the crazy ness of it all... Any wanna go with me to fight our way through McDonalds may 22 ? =]
- I hate seeing my child have to fight older women to get beanies.
- I think the only way to control the prices, that is, keep the prices down so that the children can afford to collect them is for TY to produce enough of each one and limit the quanity that can be purchased at once.
- Hi,,,,,great survey! I collect beanies for my 11 month old daughter. We LOVE beanies and we hope they will be around for a long time to come! We also hope the values keep going up! It is a fun addiction! I dont always like the greediness of the secondary market but I understand why it is the way it is.....there has to be scarcity in beanies or they wouldn't be worth anything to anyone. Keep the beanies coming!
- I have yet to see a Princess or Erin for sale in a retail store. I have seen them on Home Shopping Channel for $299 - how do they get a large supply when we can't even find them on the market. I have had employees of retail stores selling Beanie Babies tell me they have their trunks full of beanie babies, but wouldn't see them for less than $10 - they are obviously getting as many as they want before they go on sale to the general public.
- I would just like to say that retailers that sell beanie babies should not be allowed to HOLD them for certain people and not give the other people in the community a chance to purchase them.
- I hate it when Ty retires
- I think all beanie sellers should sell beanies for $5.00-$6.00 so children can afford them.
- Erin and Princess' should be lower inprice
- I would like to see a tye dyed rabbit like "ears". I also would like to see another tropical fish. I feel that Erin and Peace will retire soon. I don't like how some retailers charge up to 10 times for something that they purchased for $2.50.
- Beanies are going to be very valuable today,.
- I dislike like the fact that some retailers have become very dishonest when it comes to selling Beanies. I have quit shopping at one of my favorite gift stores became they lie about not receiving certain Beanies from Ty when in fact they are holding the Beanies for other customers and asking secondary prices. Also, regarding Princess the bear - I won an original Princess in a raffle at a gift store and her rose is completely white. I was able to purchase a later released Princess from the same store an
that Princess has a bit of non-metalic gold added to the rose. Both came from the Ty company and you would have to have both versions to be able to tell the difference. Just thought you'd like to know.
- I don't think that people who buy beanie babies should be allowed to sel them to someone else for whatever price they feel like charging. Thank you.
- Ty should keep a closer watch on what the retailers are asking for their product.
- beanie babies are fun to collrct and this website is cool.
- i think that beanies should be cheaper because some day they might die out and some people just like them cause they are cute and if they like Erin for entence they wouls have too spend around 200.00 and not even looking too see what it is worth.......thank you
- I think more stores should sell erin and princess and just let up take our chances of being at the right place at the right time . And I wish stores would stop back dooring it !!!!!!!! . Some stores I don't even go into because you don't ever have a chance to get lucky . When they tell you they got princess and erin in one day and you go back the next day and ask them what they a going to do with them and they said they had a raffle over night but no one knows who won you know something is wrong
ith this picture Thanks patty haley
- Can't pick a favorite beanie - too many that I absolutely LOVE!
- We would like to be able to get certain Beanies like Erin who is current, but are unable to because retailors make prices extremly high or hold them back for "special contest or customers" That is completely unfair. And not American!
- I hope the TY company sells the bears direct to the one's who have joined the club. That way the dealers can't rip off the children using their allowance on beanies! The secondary market may get them too, but at least the children have a chance that way
- I would like to see some Grateful Dead Bear beanie babies.
- I think that beanie babies are a good thing. I wish a lot of the money that the secondary retailors would put some of their money to a charity to justify their, sometimes, outrageous prices. If TY charges $100 for princess, just think how much money the "DIANA" foundation would have.
- Beanie Baby collecting is alot of fun for our family. What I dislike is when some retailers increase the price for a current beanie by five times the original price. I have no predictions. I can't wait until May 30th to see what the new releases will be. By the way, keep up the good job on your web site.
- Prices too high on Bears. Not enough Erins and Princess showing up in the retail stores. Secondary markets are too too too high. I think Ty should enforce the selling of Erin and Princess and other bears the same as other beanies. All should be priced the same, unless retired. Retail dealers are selling out the back door and/or selling at their price. Some do drawing, etc. , that is better than selling too high in the retail stores. Everyone should be entitled to buy at regular beanies prices.
Stores should not limit to children, which is what some are doing and then the ones who have grandchildren out of town cannot buy unless we borrow a neighborhood child. I think stores should have beanies available for those working mothers after business hours or on weekends, but don't limit to those who want to buy. It's doesn't make any sense. We all work, we all make phone calls, we all can't get to each and every store, so I guess on a first-come basis is the best policy. Some retail stores do call
their friends, etc., and that should be stopped.
- i think that beanies that are not retired and are priced for over $20 should be taken off maket. It isn't fair to sell beanies at $100 if they're currents!!!
- I love collecting beanies for my children but there are some they would really love to have that are just too far out of my price range. I wish Erin and Princess would start to become available and I hope they'll make the announcement about new beanies soon.
- I really hate it that there are people out there trying to take advantage of buyers with fake beanie babies.
- zi like the stores that sell at same price even whe they get in retired ones at least for the first shipment after retirement. The Hallmark Stores in our area do this.
- Im glad that i have a lot af beanies so when they retire i will have a lot of retireds
- I think they will make and Ant and a Beagle
- I just wish Princess and Erin were made more available in the stores, without the store owners selling them out the back door, or asking outrageous prices for them
- I don't like authorized dealers that require multiple purchases or charge more than $6. I am buying for a small child and refuse to pay more than $10 for a beanie. It is very discouraging.
- Do not like that the retailers sell the bears for so high of price.
- I can't stand it when beanies retire and the next day, stores are selling them for $10-15, taking the fun out of trying to find them for $5-6 while you still can.
- butthole
- I dislike the fact that authorized dealers are selling to secondaries so that it is impossible many times to ever buy some beanies at the retail price. I also dislike that some beanies (like Princess and Erin) are perpetually in short supply. In this day and age, one has to wonder why those are any harder than some of the others to make?
- I love beanies.I started with one beanie that me daughter got as a gift, now we have over 100.We love them and it is very hard to pick a favorite.I think beanies will last for a long time to come.I also wish that all stores that get beanies in would sell
- I have watched this craze for over a year and I am surprised at how it is going now.Around my area you can still find beanies on the shelf easily and the interest has dropped to a low I didn't expect.I still enjoy the beanies and will collect till my son says he doesn't want any more. Some retailers are selling their beanies at secondary prices, which I don't think is fair for the new collectors coming in to this craze.I see new collectors all the time but I wonder will Ty chase people away if there are
o many retired and not enough currents to keep the interest alive? It is just a thought and I hope it is wrong. With every new release there are really great ones and some that are just ok.But they have to appeal to so many people I am sure it is hard to please everyone. Thanks for having a place to share our thoughts.
- I dislike how the stores in Virginia haven't gotten Princess, Erin or Peace for distribution. Some stores get a small order and won't sell them deciding instead to auction them off. These auctions reach 300.00 plus. Too much to pay for a child to play with.
- retailers that gouge customers, the customers will remember!
- The hunt has been fun but the prices on the secondary market is getting out of hand.
- I think the internet has truly kept the beanie trend going.
- dislike that it seems as tho the retailers in my hometown never get any premium bears, like Peace, Princess and Erin to sell us at 5 dollars for each
- We have been selling beanies in our store for about a year and a half now and just had a coloring contest for the kids to win a free Princess Diana Bear. The happy faces of the winners made this whole beanie mania craze worth while to me.
- I love the bears, but the prices are out of control. They are made to enjoy not to make millions off of.
- I would like to see a porcupine.
- Its unfair for dealers to "hold back and mark up" retired and popular beanie babies.. those of us that simply love our collections and are faithful to the ty company by purchasing from authorized dealers are getting tired of being ripped off. I have almost decided not to collect anymore beanies because I have to save for weeks to purchase the bears and rabbits from these "authorized dealers that do not sell retireds and hard to find at their stores but you see them selling by the bulk at flea markets
or 20Xs the price". In the end the consumer becomes angry at authorized dealers and the ty company looses money. There should be a way for individuals to purchase Beanies on the internet secured by a password where they can only purchase 1 item of each baby available at the fair market price.. let us continue to enjoy our collections and give us a chance to complete our collections without going broke. Enough talking.. but thanks for letting me post my concerns.. Gloria Griffin Germantown, Tennessee
- retailers should not be allowed to hold the beanies they no are hot, they should put them out for sale
- I'm afraid the market is glutted and they will soon be worthless
- I guess i dislike the fact that people purchase beanies & resell to make 150% PROFIT
- Ty will make attic treasures scarce and more collectible
- It is really hard to get them where I live. I wish there could be another sort of distribution or mail order or something. I don't know, but it's not fair that small towns hardly get any.
- I think that there should be no secondary market for the Beanie Babies. i don't think that stores should be allowed to raise the retail price to more that 5.75.
- I just like to look for them for something to do.
- i feel the best way to make the mcdonalds
- I feel that it is such a shame that this collection was possible for little children using their allowance. Now it has gotten totally out of hand as far as acquiring current beanies.
- I just love it. I wish retailers that sell would put their stock out for their customers and not sell to secondary market.
- I hope beanie babies stay as popular as they are now.
- I LIKE THE FACT THAT PEOPLE LIKE YOU PUT WEBSITES FOR CRAZED COLLECTORS LIKE MYSELF. I THINK THAT THEY SHOULD MAKE MORE CARTOONISH ONES LIKE SMOOCHY, BECAUSE I LIKE THEM. I HAVE NOTICED THAT THE BEANIE MARKET HAS GONE DOWN QUITE A BIT. I AM GETTING A LIBEARTY FOR $225, THURSDAY, MWMTS. THAT IS NOT THAT MUCH FOR AN OLD BEANIE. I THINK THAT THEY SHOULD MAKE MORE OF ONE BEANIE, CONSIDERING THERE ARE ABOUT 8 MILLION COLLECTORS. NOT ALL COLLECTORS COULD OF HAD PATTI! THEY MADE 7 MILLION OF HER, AND S
ME PEOPLE HAVE MULTIPLES OF HER! I DO THINK THAT IT IS SMART TO COLLECT ONLY MINT TAG BEANIES BECAUSE THEN, IF YOU WANT TO SELL IT LATER ON, IT WILL BE MUCH MORE DIFFICULT. ALSO, IF THEY SAY IT HAS INITIALS ON THE TUSH TAG, IT HAS NO TAG, BUT IT IS MINT, THEY PROBABLY JUST USED A COAT BRUSH TO MAKE THE FUR SMOOTH. I SUGGEST TO ALL COLLECTORS TO MAKE SURE THE TUSH TAG IS MINT! OR YOU DO NOT HAVE A MINT BEANIE! THANKS!
- I dislike the greed of the retailers. They are only calling the wealthier people when their beanies come in and not the ones that have less money and would appreciate them more. Also, most retailers I know personally, do not let their employees purchase beanies when they come in and those are the people that help them the most to make the money by doing to hard labor. Not just sitting at the desk making phone calls. I think they should all charge the SRP on the beanies and not $9 and $25 and up fo
regular beanies. I personally know that wholesale is $2.50 per beanie.
- the way retailers treat true collectors that enjoy bb and are not selling them on the seconardy market for big bucks that they can't make.
- I THINK THAT TY SHOULD REISSUE THE OLDER BEANIES, LIKE TRAP AND CHILLY, SO EVERYONE CAN HAVE THEM WITHOUT PAYING $1000. MOST OF MY SCHOOL HAS DIED OUT OF BEANIES BECAUSE THEY ARE GETTING TOO EXPENSIVE, BUT THEY DON'T KNOW WHAT THEIR BEANIES ARE WORTH, AND SINCE THEY DON'T COLLECT THEY GIVE THEM TO BE FOR CHEAPER PRICES, LIKE $80 FOR KIWI, AND SO ON. I DONT' THINK AS MANY PEOPLE WILL COLLECT IN A YEAR FROM NOW BECAUSE THE SECONDARY MARKET VALUE IS GETTING TOO HIGH, THOUGH NOT NOW, I JUST GOT A LEFTY F
R $190 MWMTS OFF THE NET, INSTEAD OF $350. I ALSO THINK THAT BEANIE MOM IS THE COOLEST WEB SITE!
- I think beanies are soooo cool!!
- retailers should find a way to make the priness or erin more fairley distributed
- I think the shop at home network is to greedy how can kids get any if all the parents are using and abusing the right of haveing them!
- I don't like Peace; he has a twisted cross on him
- Having to search around for the beanies that I want, makes it fun to go shopping. I like reading about the beanies in my book and porjecting how much they will be worth in a few years.
- the sellers should sell princess and erin for 4.99 to 7.00 it's not fare for people who don't have the money to buy them.
- I think the prices are going too high. These were made for kids, but kids can't even afford them!
- I wish TY would produce more horses. There are many people in the Equine world that would buy them in a minute. Rumor has it there will be a black horse coming out in the new releases. I sure hope so.
- I LOVE BEANIE BABIES! :-D
- I WANT SECONDARY MARKET RETAILERS TO QUIT WITH THE HIGH PRICES!!!! THEY ARE WAY TOO EXPENSIVE!!! LIKE LEFTY FOR 600$!!! THAT'S A BIG RIP OFF!!!!
- I think they are gona make a Titatic Bear!!!!
-
I couldn't answer the ones about favorites cause i like them all!
- I don't mind the secodary markets but sometimes they are out of control. Erin, for instance, should not be that hard to get or that expensive- so in that way they are a negative aspect to collecting. But I don't think they make it difficult or take away from the enjoyment.
- I think the beanie fad is fading fast!
- you should make a deer,woodpecker,more fish,halk,clydesdale horse,and a seagul
- They need a hamster beanie baby
- I HATE the high prices!!!!
- they should make more bears and sale to kids more than grown ups
- I hope they don't stop being popular!
- Beanies R DA BOMB!!!
- new releases on May 30
- I love to always love to see all the new adorable little faces when new ones come out. Also I think there should be less retireing and more new annocments.
- Why can't Ty produce more of what is in demand? Like Peace, Garcia, Erin, Princess. Common people like me can't find them or afford the $100-$300 that these people are selling them for. I collect beanies for the fun of it, not for the money.
- Brittania is my next acquisition. Ty should drop retailers who sell secondary and consignment.
- I think they will make more endangerd animals.
- I think they will either redesign or retire/put out of production Princess because in Diana's will, she said any promotion with profits that go to her fund must have her "gold signature" on it and it doesn't.
- I wish that some old or retired BB's would come back and not retire as fast.
- I think people should sell beanies for how much there worth and not how much they want.
- I love your site
